This paper proposed a needle insertion robotic surgery system for hepatic microwave coagulation of liver tumors. The system could compensate the influence caused by the patient's respiratory motion. The system includes a needle insertion robot, a surgical planning subsystem, a magnetic tracking device and a stereo vision system. In order to meet the fundamental requirement of the system, inserting the needle accurately to the target, we proposed a method in this paper. First, a patient body fixation technique was used to reduce unintentional patient movement. Then, stereo vision technique was used to track the markers on the patient's body surface. By combining the fixation and stereo vision, we can trace the exact motion of the organ, minimizing influence of respiratory and cardiac motion. Finally, accuracy experiment on 3D ultrasound phantom was carried out to evaluate the navigation system. The results indicated that the proposed method could improve system accuracy, enhancing the efficiency of intervention therapy for the hepatic tumors and reducing the patient's pain.

The logistics distribution system in this paper, includes not only the forwards logistics but also the reverse logistics, so it can not be described felicitously with a general mathematical model. In order to reduce the difficulty of modeling, and to describe the dynamic process and logical relations of the system more easily and intuitively, the logical Petri net is applied in the modeling of the logistics distribution system. General work processes of the system are analyzed firstly. Then the dynamic operation process of the logistics distribution system is described by logical Petri net model well and correctly. Lastly some important characters of this system are analyzed based on the model.

A novel permanent magnet motor actuator on high voltage circuit breaker is proposed. Based on the characteristics requirement of the circuit breaker, a limited angle permanent magnet brushless DC servo motor actuator is designed. By using the finite element method, the basic characteristics and dynamic simulation of starting are carried out, which the simulation results of the motor (such as electromagnetic torque, current, speed and location parameters) have been analyzed. The analysis is indicated that the rotary motor actuator can provide the mechanism characteristics and so it can supply a basis for vacuum circuit breaker using the rotary motor actuator.

How to reduce the number of messages or improve searching efficiency has been a key problem which restricts the expanding of decentralized and unstructured P2P (peer-to-peer) networks. Based on traditional Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) principle, this paper proposes a new algorithm for unstructured P2P networks by using the pheromone which can reflect the distribution of different types of files. The algorithm can reduce the produced message packets and reach better searching efficiency than the traditional Ant methods do in P2P network.

We study the problem of jointly determining the promotion optimizing and inventory control of multiple beer product variants in a Chinese retail supermarket based on demand forecasting. We examine the joint effect of two modes of promotional policies: price discount and inventory stimulation. Under the demand with the price sensitivity, inventory sensitivity and randomness, we formulate a more practical two-stage joint optimization model of inventory control and promotion, in which the non-promotional optimal price and allocation of shelf-space of all kinds of products are calculated to achieve maximal profit in the first stage and then to find the optimal promotion brands under the assumptions of non-promoted brands still continue the pricing policy and shelf-space allocation policy in the second stage model. Also a numerical solving algorithm is proposed and an experimental example is given. Our experimental analysis reveals that the two-stage joint optimization model has good feasibility and robustness. The computational results also show that the appropriate inventory control strategies and promotional methods would achieve higher profit.

This paper brings forward a novel semantic discovery approach based on the SEM (Semantic Entropy Maximum). This approach applies the entropy maximum algorithm to the matching and the recognizing of the semantic service, and meanwhile, it compares this algorithm with other related algorithms. The results of those experiments show that the SEM (semantic entropy maximum) model has some preferable performances. In a practical enterprise application of Chinese semantic recognition, the SEM model is proved to be useful and valuable in semantic recognition of Chinese.

The cold rolling production scheduling problem is an extremely difficult process, so it is quite difficult to achieve an optimal solution with traditional optimization methods. Based on rolling feature of continuous tandem cold rolling mill, such as multi-variable, strong coupling, non-linear, this paper presents a Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm schedule optimization procedure for tandem cold rolling mills, base to computer powerful data processing capacity. Adopt the power distribution cost function as objective function, make the rolling force, rolling power, rolling torque, speed and other parameters meet certain requirement. Sequential unconstrained minimization technique (SUMT) replaces a constrained optimization problem with a sequence of unconstrained optimization problem. Apply PSO algorithm to optimize the objective function to obtain the optimal solution. It makes the reasonable distribution of tandem cold rolling power, gives full play to equipment capacity and improves the production efficiency.

Seeking best logistics centre location (LCL) is a challenge problem and affected by many factors, such as the natural and business environment, the candidate infrastructure, as well as the surrounding conditions. These factors, taken as evaluation indicator to select the satisfying alternative, consist of many quantitative indicators and qualitative indicators; so the LCL belongs to the fuzzy semi-structured decision-making problem. In order to solve it, this paper presents the new optimal selection for alternative programs of logistics center using the fuzzy decision-making model(FDMM), this algorithm based on Engineering Fuzzy Set Theory(EFST), has been intensively tested in real system, providing good discusses on characteristics of the model, and the specific application of the FDMM.

Terrestrial laser scanners, as efficient tools, have opened a wide range of application fields within a rather short period of time. Beyond interactive measurement in 3D point clouds, techniques for the automatic detection of objects and the determination of geometric parameters form a high priority research issue. The quality of 3D point clouds generated by laser scanners and the automation potential make terrestrial laser scanning also an interesting tool for forest inventory and management. The paper will first review current laser scanner systems from a technological point of view and discuss different scanner technologies and system parameters regarding their suitability for forestry applications. In the second part of the paper, results of a pilot study on the applicability of terrestrial laser scanners in forest inventory tasks will be presented. The study concentrates on the automatic detection of trees and the subsequent determination of tree height and diameter at breast height. Reliability and precision of techniques for automatic point cloud processing were analysed based on scans of a test region in Harbin Experimental Forest Farm. In the pilot study, which represents an early stage of software development, more than 95% of the trees in a test region could be detected correctly. Tree heights could be determined with a precision of 80 cm, and breast height diameters could be determined with a precision of less than 1.5cm.
