kryza Abstract. Prototype designs of orifice flowmeters are commonly used in measurements. One area which has attracted considerable interest includes slotted orifices, where a single central opening is replaced by the use of several slots. This paper reports the results of numerical and experimental research of a prototype design of a slotted orifice plate. The movement of the fluid was described with use of Reynolds equations closed by the k-ε turbulence model. The calculations were performed using ANSYS Fluent software package by consideration of the fluid flow through an orifice plate and slotted orifice with the equal β ratio = 0.5. The results of calculations are compared with the measurements. Good qualitative and quantitative conformity was obtained during the study for the C flow coefficient. It was indicated that the slotted orifice generates a considerable lower pressure drop in comparison to an orifice plate while maintaining comparable level of measurement uncertainty.

: This article presents an application that is used as NetFlow collector and analyzer. It is a console application created in Python language. A software analyzer detects and analyzes incoming NetFlow messages version 1 and 5 of devices that support them. The output file is a database of information and analysis of the overall UNIX time duration of reported traffic and analysis of NetFlow lifetime. The software is developed to work with Python version 3 and higher and is designed for the Windows operating system.

The aim of this article is to describe the development of distance learning techniques which opened the possibilities of conducting laboratory activities. In effect there emerged e-labs used for practical activities in the form of e-learning. Laboratory devices are remotely controlled, their management is accomplished via the Internet. This article presents exemplary e-labs, where students participate in didactic activities, allowing university teachers to do research and perform experiments. Some of the presented e-labs can be used to conduct experiments for persons who are logged in as “visitor”.

This article presents the performance analysis of a cross-platform mobile application implemented with Xamarin and two native applications for Android and iOS platforms. The results concerning the time analysis for selected activities were compared in order to determine whether cross-platform tools are worth using in mobile application development. Native applications achieved better performance, however in some cases the cross-platform approach allows for significant development time reduction without deterioration in user experience.

Commonly used white light emmision method utilizing LED technology depends mostly on luminophore and wavelenght 440–460 nm (blue) semicondutor emiter use. Emission of the wide visible spectrum, greenish yellow in colour, is an effect of fotoluminescence in cerium doped YAG cristal based luminophore. As the effect of fotoluminescence, radiation interferes with source radiation, resulting in white colour light with colour temperature depending on luminophore type. The article presents the research on both conversion efficency of the luminophore and the spectra response for the nondedicated forcing, realised by usage of semiconductor emitters.

. Rapidly is growing negative impact of toxic emissions of internal combustion engines (used in road transport), on the ecosystem. Apart from the problems associated with air pollution and the environment at the stage of extraction, transport and processing of liquid and gaseous hydrocarbon fossil fuels, the biggest problem is with the mass poisoning the atmosphere by products emanating from the exhaust pipes of all (land, sea and air) means of transport. Electric drive can be an effective remedy for these negative effects. Electric motors are practically emission-free and in terms of efficiency, in the conversion electrical energy into mechanical, three times superior to heat engines. In order electric trucks have been fully ecological, energy required to charge the energy containers, in the form of electrochemical batteries, must come from renewable energy sources. The basic condition for the development of electromobility based on the electric car is the need for widespread and rapid transition to production of electricity from carbon-free renewable energy sources: wind, water and sun. Published (by one of the world's leading scientific centers) results of research and analyzes show that there is a real chance to create an alternative (to the traditional system of generating electricity, based mainly on thermal power plants burning fuels), the new zero-emission system WWS ( W ind, W ater, S un), based on the use of the energy contained in the wind, flowing water, and solar radiation. The presented data show that there is a real chance of transition to WWS in the next 30 – 50 years.
