New method for identifying armed helicopters 识别武装直升机的新方法

This paper deals with the effect that the main rotor and tail rotor have on radar return signal from an armed helicopter, and analyses and computes the modulation condition of an armed helicopter main rotor and tail rotor in detail. A scaled model of the rotors was elaborated by accurate design according to the actual shape and size of the rotors. Based on the above study, a new method to identify an armed helicopter by using the modulation spectrum of radar return signal is put forward according to the modulation law and characteristics of the main rotor and tail rotor.

Imaging processing and motion compensation of C-band ISAR system c波段ISAR系统的成像处理与运动补偿

This paper is devoted to the study of image processing and motion compensation of C-band inverse synthetic aperture radar (C-ISAR). Motion compensation is approached in two steps: the range alignment and initial phase compensation. The method of cross-correlation alignment combined with peak value alignment is proposed in range alignment and proved to be effective. A dominant scatterer algorithm is used in phase compensation. A PGA autofocus algorithm is tested in ISAR imaging. Finally, an improved CLEAN algorithm is used in ISAR imaging and post-image processing.

This paper describes a new highly mobile medium range surveillance radar (YLC-6 radar), which is developed by NRIET. The YLC-6 radar utilizes highly mobile technology, full solid-state transmitter, and an advanced MTD processor to enhance the radar survival capability and tactical performance. This new generation mobile medium range low altitude surveillance radar has military and civil applications.

The basic idea of time domain measurements is that antenna under test is radiated by a short electromagnetic pulse from different directions. The electromagnetic pulse used is spatially concentrated. This allows one to separate the antenna response excited by the pulse from the responses excited by its reflection. The equipment of the field test of the radar antenna subsystem is illustrated.

Analysis and experimental results of digital quadrature coherent detector 数字正交相干探测器的分析与实验结果

One of the key problems in high performance radar signal processing is the quadrature coherent detector. It is very difficult for the classical analog quadrature detector to satisfy the requirement of a high performance signal processing technique. The solution of this problem is to use the direct sampling of a low IF signal and generate quadrature samples by a digital filter. The performance of a quadrature IF sampling system based on a digital product detector is analyzed. The scheme is designed and the circuit is implemented by using the INMOS A100. The experimental results are tested. Several important problems about the realization are discussed and analyzed. It is shown by the experimental results that the requirement of a high performance signal processing technique can be fully satisfied by the digital quadrature coherent detector.

Mathematical models for linear FM and phase coded radars are developed and implemented on the Signal Processing Workstation (SPW). The models include the generation of radar signals and matched filter design at the receiver to achieve pulse compression. The effects of weighting on both radar systems are verified. Performance analysis of jamming effects between linear FM and phase coded radars are studied.

ISAR imaging of nonuniformly rotating targets 非均匀旋转目标的ISAR成像

Range-Doppler imaging is the basic method of inverse synthetic aperture radar, it is based on the uniform rotation of targets. The nonuniform rotation may occur to manoeuvring targets, which will produce smeared images. A constant acceleratively rotating model is used instead of the traditional uniform rotating model. The imaging quality is improved by using the new method.

ISAR imaging of rolling, pitching and yawing targets 翻滚、俯仰和偏航目标的ISAR成像

This paper deals with the problem of ISAR imaging of targets in rectilinear motion in the presence of pitch, roll and yaw. We define a model of the received signal in the presence of the angular motions and we calculate the impulse response of the imaging system. From this preliminary analysis we find that the ISAR system behaves as a spatially variant linear filter. This effect produces a blurring of the reconstructed image. We also determine the conditions under which the effects of pitch, roll and yaw motions are negligible and finally we validate the theoretical analysis by presenting and discussing some simulation results.

Performance analysis of a new greatest of selection CFAR detector 一种新型最大选择CFAR检测器的性能分析

In this paper, a new greatest of selection CFAR detector (OSTMGO) based on order statistics (OS) and trimmed mean (TM) is proposed. It takes the greatest value of OS and TM local estimations as a global noise power estimation, and it also uses the automatic censoring technique proposed by He You (1994). Under the Swerling II assumption, the analytic expressions of P/sub fa/, P/sub d/ and ADT of OSTMGO are derived. By comparison with other schemes, the results show that the detection performance of OSTMGO is good both in homogeneous background and in nonhomogeneous environments caused by strong interfering targets and clutter edges; particularly in the clutter edges situation, the peak of false alarm rate of OSTMGO decreases an order of magnitude more than that of GOSGO, while the sample sorting time of OSTMGO is less than half of that of OS.
