This research aims to clarify the concept of gender in the Quranic concept in general and in the radical feminist movements in particular. The research deals with the causes of the emergence of the gender issue in Western countries and holding of international conferences for it. The research also addresses currents of female feminist movements and their interest in the issue of gender. The research sheds light on the goals of gender and its effects on the Muslim community. The research focuses on highlighting the most prominent and dangerous views of the radical feminist movement in the issue of gender and the position of the Holy Qur’an on it, through an analytical and critical study in the light of the Holy Qur’an. The research reached a conclusion that clarifies the most important findings and the recommendations recommended by the researcher.

Malaysia is a country that is based on a plural society with the differences of races and religions followers. Islam and the Malays are pillars of the country based on provisions in the Constitution through Article 3 (1) that Islam is the Federal religion. The Islam that is intended in the Constitution is based on the Ahli Sunnah Wal Jamaah method. The challenge of the country's national unity is when the reality in Malaysia practices an integration system where the minority maintain their cultural identity while living with the majority or dominant race, namely the Malays and Muslims. The objective of the study is to analyze the Wasatiyyah method in developing the national unity of the country according to the Ahli Sunnah Wal Jamaah method. The methodology used in this study is a qualitative method through library research by referring to theses, journals, newspapers and also scientific books that are related to the research topic. Based on the analysis carried out, the author found that manhaj wasatiyyah is the best approach in creating harmony among Malaysians of various races and religions to develop the country's national unity. This Wasatiyyah method coincides with the Ahli Sunnah Wal Jamaah method to ensure that Islam and the Malays become pillars of this unity based on the historical reality and identity of Malaysia.

Muslims in Malaysia nowadays has been utilizing the television as a medium in learning about Islamic knowledge, resulting in a steady growth of religious television programs that covers a variety of concept which are broadcasted to satisfy such needs like TV Al Hijrah. However, there has been widespread issues regarding the use of fabricated hadith in religious programs and the audience’s varying degree of education and knowledge makes the issue even more pressing. Thus, a study is conducted to identify the level of understanding and the daily practice of the audiences towards these hadith spread through the religious program that was broadcasted in TV Al Hijrah. The necessary data was acquired through a set of inquiry instruments and was later analyzed through the descriptive analysis method in order to get the value of frequency, percentage, min and standard deviation. The research finds that the audience’s level of understanding towards the rejected hadith was at a middle-to-high level with the min score of 3.38, meanwhile their daily practice level was also at a middle-to-high level with the min score of 3.04. The research result implies that there is a need to form a guideline, involving concerned parties, to ensure that such issues will be resolved, and to ensure that the audience can safely utilize television as a medium to receive Islamic knowledge.

Hans Küng’s paradigm theory is examined, which involves analyzing religious paradigms and their changes to understand religion comprehensively. The article explains that Küng’s approach involves examining several aspects of religion, such as its history, development, current situation, and predictions or assumptions about its future based on its history and current situation. However, the article also highlights some questions regarding the methodology used by Küng to identify the stages of the paradigm and the shifts that occur. Additionally, the article notes that understanding religion based on paradigm theory is not sufficient to adequately describe the identity of a religion. Overall, this article sheds light on the strengths and limitations of using paradigm theory to understand religion, particularly from an Islamic perspective. Therefore, a nuanced understanding of Islam requires sensitivity to its unique theological and textual contexts.

The Reality and Challenges of Authoritative Regulation on Hadith Publication in Malaysia and Indonesia 马来西亚和印度尼西亚圣训出版权威监管的现实与挑战

Dissemination of inauthentic hadith in publications, ill-intent understanding of hadith text and its exploitations for personal or group interests are some of the contemporary issues faced by Malaysia and Indonesia. This article focuses on the reality and challenges of authoritative regulation on hadith publication in both countries to tackle afro mention issues. This phenomenological study uses interviews, observations and document analysis as data collection methods. This study discovered that regulation mechanism is implemented in Malaysia in the form of guidelines issued by federal authorities. These guidelines, however, are not backed up by stern and clear enforcement by the government. At the state level, there are enactments gazetted but they are too broad in their interpretation and more to the context of maintaining hadith chastity from contemptuous acts. On the other hand, Indonesia at the federal level, does not have any specific and systematic methods to regulate the text of hadith and, at the moment, only depends on available general mechanisms especially the one applied in higher education institutions. The study concludes, in order to preserve hadith corpus from a faulty utilization and abusive application, both governments should pay more attention in introducing new laws as well as strengthening existing mechanism related to hadith text in this archipelago.

Penyalahgunaan Ayat Al-Quran dan Hadis oleh Golongan Agnostik dalam Persoalan Akidah

In recent times, there has been an increasing rejection of faith and indoctrination in religion. Agnostic beliefs are among the ideologies that seek to liberate the human mind from any assumptions about God. What misleads them is when they make objections to the primary sources of reference for the Islamic community, al-Quran and hadith, which ultimately result in misunderstandings in understanding the main sources of Islam. Therefore, the purpose of this article is to study the issues of misuse of Quranic verses and hadith and the distorted interpretations by the agnostic group in matters of faith. This study uses a qualitative research design using document analysis, comparative analysis, and historical analysis approaches. The writings of the agnostic group in mass media such as articles, magazines and newspapers related to the misuse of Quranic verses and hadith in matters of faith are examined and analysed. The findings of the study reveal that the confusion and misunderstandings of the agnostic group regarding Quranic verses and hadith are caused by various factors, including an excessive reliance on logical reasoning, a lack of proper understanding of faith, misconceptions about contextual and textual approaches, and the use of hermeneutical methods in interpreting Quranic verses and hadith.

Philosophical discussions have attempted to understand the human identity through various interpretations. After the First and Second World Wars, existentialism that focussed on aspects of the human existence as a central theme of philosophy emerged. Man is ‘thrown’ into this world and is 'punished' in order to be free. Aguish and death foreshadow man who is forced to create meaning and purpose in life. Freedom is considered the 'essence' of human beings who have responsibilities thus are required to make decisions based on freedom of choices. This article identified the main premise of existentialism in interpreting the meaning of human existence. The article also evaluated the interpretation based on Muhammad Sa`id Ramadan al-Buti's perspective through a critical analysis. The writing was based on literature research through the documentation method in collecting data related to the research question and the data analysis method, which is a process to detect the form of data in order to make interpretations. The understanding of existentialism was found to be more dominated by philosophical and psychological speculation due to the experiences of modern human suffering. From the epistemological aspect, it also influenced the metaphysical and axiological ontological perspectives that led to the concept of absolute human freedom in thinking and actions.

One of Nusantara's experts, Tuan Minal, is adamant on publishing works, particularly in the area of religion. The `Aqidah al-Najin fi `Ilm Usul al-Din, his book, is still in use today. This article will briefly explain the book `Aqidah al-Najin, which also discuss the peculiarities of this book in terms of definition, Mabadi `Ilm Tawhid and ilah. This study uses a qualitative method where the book `Aqidah al-Najin is used as a primary source, while the process of analyzing the data is to use the method of content analysis of the book by making a comparative analysis of the work with several other scholars of the archipelago. The paper summarizes that Tuan Minal attaches great importance to the aspect of accuracy by choosing the right and appropriate words to make a definition. In addition, Tuan Minal tried to compile ten Mabadi 'Ilm Tawhid in learning the science of tawhid well and organized and carefully in discussing matters related to the divine spirit.

Analisis Polemik Wahdah al-Wujūd dalam Karya Kashf al-Asrār Syeikh Muhammad Saleh Abdullah Minangkabawi Menurut Perspektif Tasawuf

Wahdah al-wujūd is one of the doctrines that has been discussed and debated by sufis in tasawwuf teachings. Nowadays, several fatwas from certain Islamic State Councils in Malaysia have issued to ban this doctrine from being spread due to ittihād and hulūl issues (pantheisme). This article highlights wahdah al-wujūd in Kashf al-Asrār Syeikh Muhammad Saleh Abdullah Minangkabawi according to the tasawwuf perspectives. This article aims to examine the textual in Kashf al-Asrār in dealing with fatwa and critisism. This article uses qualitative research method through documentary contents to identify wahdah al-wujūd doctrines and analysis method for analyzing the textuals in Kashf al-Asrār Syeikh Muhammad Saleh Abdullah Minangkabawi. The study eventually finds that Syeikh Muhammad Saleh Abdullah Minangkabawi refused the idea of ittihād and hulūl in his doctrine of tauhid, by using metaphore in discussing his ideas of tauhid, and the fatwa needs to be improved to address positive perspectives on Kashf al-Asrār’s teachings of tauhid.

Kefahaman Pelajar Akademi Pengajian Islam Universiti Malaya Terhadap Sifat 20

Sifat 20 is part of the perfection sifat for Allah SWT who is infinite. It is obligatory to be known by every mukallaf along with detailed evidence. A correct knowledge and understanding of sifat 20 will confirm the obligation of worship and other benevolent deeds in addition to instilling nobility in behavior. However, with the influence of Western ideas and dogmas that are growing today as well as postmodern era, the understanding of society towards sifat 20 seems to be fading even among students with a background in Islamic studies. Therefore, this article will review the understanding of students of the Academy of Islamic Studies, Universiti Malaya (APIUM) towards sifat 20. This article uses a questionnaire survey that was distributed to 170 students from various fields of study and departments. The questionnaire was analyzed descriptively using SPSS software to see the results of the collected data. The results found that APIUM students have a positive understanding of sifat 20. However, this article also suggests that programs related to the study of Islamic creed, especially the study of sifat 20, continue to be actively implemented despite being in the millennium. A more efficient teaching approach should be applied to be compatible with the development of Industrial Revolution 4.0 (IR4.0).
