The state of charge (SOC) estimation plays important role in the battery energy storage system (BESS). Nowadays many semiconductor companies are paying more and more attention and investment to support many researchers to implement the state of charge for the batteries storage. the key to optimize the batteries storage is determine SOC value based on accuracy methods. a number of brief methods for SOC determination have been studied and compared with traditional methods the adaptive methods shown precise result because didn’t consider the dynamic effect of the batteries. In this paper, we use combination methods to estimate the SOC for lead-acid battery storage under two charge techniques namely Maximum Power Point Tracking – Plus Width Module (MPPT- PWM) when considering the effect of voltage drops on the estimation of SOC. The model uses the coulomb counting as an algorithm to determine the SOC and set it as a target in the backpropagation function in artificial neural network in MATLAB program (R2016a 64-bit (win64)). The simulation results show that the model is very precise to estimate the SOC in realistic operation.

Robot manipulators have become increasingly important in the field of automation. So modelling and control of robots in automation will be very important. This paper presents a study of robust control approach employing fuzzy logic control technique for two degree of freedom (2-DOF) manipulator robot. A learning control system is designed so that its “learning mechanism” has the ability to improve the performance of the closed-loop system by generating command inputs to the plant and utilizing feedback information from the plant. It is well known that robotic manipulators are highly nonlinear coupling dynamic systems. A fuzzy logic rule base is designed, using the knowledge obtained from the operator. Simulation is performed to demonstrate the effectiveness of control strategy. Furthermore, the parameters of the controllers were optimized using MATLAB and simulations' result reveals that control scheme is working satisfactorily.

Cognitive radio system consists of multiple wireless accesses that cover overlapping area, and cognitive terminals that use one or more of the wireless accesses simultaneously. In cognitive radio systems, secondary users can share the spectrum with the primary user as long as the quality of service (QoS) of the primary system is guaranteed. However, the system throughput of the cognitive system will be limited when the QoS requirement is stringent. We had proposed the architecture of the cognitive radio system, the inter-system handover protocols and packet format designed to achieve fast handover among the radio systems.

Khulna is located in the south western part of Bangladesh. Khulna is the third largest city of Bangladesh where the livelihood depends on mostly agricultural practices and livestock farming. Thus there might have significant potential for biogas production. From this point of view the present study has been taken into consideration. A structured questionnaire survey was conducted to investigate the plenty of livestock resources, their energy consumption pattern, biogas production, and replacement of traditional energy consumption with biogas in 80 households which is selected randomly. Study found that total manure production is 3080125.5 kg/yr and residues production is 102252.34 kg/yr. 94 percent of the households are still using mud stoves as their first priority. Useful cooking energy demand in the case of surveyed area comes out to be 77420 kWh per year. The total biogas demand of the study area to provide cooking gas and electricity is 56981.5 m3 per year whereas the total potential biogas production is 125838.18 m3/yr in the study area. The potential produced biogas will completely fulfill the biogas demand in the study area.

This work aims to develop a system allowing production, storage, management and dissemination of XML (eXtensible Markup Language) documents as well as chemical and analytical data (molecules, spectra, etc.) obtained within MED-COLOR-TECHNOLOGY project. Based on the study of user needs, modalities and systems for information access and retrieval, we have adopted a navigation system mode with the adaptive hypermedia systems. We have integrated and adapted the existing tools with new developed functionalities to ensure the full targeted functionality. Indeed, we have opted a component-based integration strategy using the plug-in mechanism and the Eclipse RCP (Rich Client Platform) framework. This architecture encompasses concepts that facilitate the adaptation of presentation, navigation, and content. Thus, the developed system is rich in functionality, extensible, portable, adaptable and evolves with user’s needs, preferences, and knowledge.

This paper presents an exact solution of a fully developed natural convection flow in a vertical concentric annulus in the presence of transverse magnetic field and heat absorption. The non-dimensional form of the equation governing the flow is first obtained and then the unified analytical solutions for the temperature field, velocity field, and skin-frictions as well as rate of heat transfer are obtained for both isothermal and constant heat flux case on the outer surface of the inner cylinder. The effect of various identified governing parameters on the flow was illustrated with the aid of line graphs. It is found that the magnitude of maximum fluid velocity is greater in the case of isothermal heating compared with the constant heat flux case when the gap between the cylinders is less or equal to radius of the inner cylinder. More also, the various values of the non-dimensional heat absorption parameter (H) and the corresponding values of annular gap where these fields are almost the same are presented in table 1.

A Doppler ultrasound signal has been reconstructed using different compressed sensing algorithms. With compressed sensing it’s possible to reconstruct signals and images using a few numbers of measurements so as to overcome the limitation of sampling in a real-time Doppler ultrasound sonogram. In this work we want to compare different compressed sensing algorithms used for Doppler ultrasound signal reconstruction so as to select the best algorithm that, gives a real-time Doppler ultrasound image and maintain quality. The result shows that regularized orthogonal matching pursuit reconstruction algorithm reconstructs the Doppler signal and gives Doppler spectrum in a real-time with high quality also l1-norm reconstructs the Doppler signal and gives Doppler spectrum with a good quality, but the reconstruction time was very long.

There is need of experimental determination of thermo-physical properties of building materials to bridge the gap between theoretically prediction and real performance of buildings. Few references present structural, hydric and thermal properties of insulation materials in the same publication. This study aims to determine main thermo-physical characteritics of two glass wools. This publication wants also to review well-adapted experimental techniques because of their structural morphology. Inter-fiber space (pores) and fibers were studied by scanning electron microscope imaging (SEM) at the microscopic scale. The chemical composition of the fibers and binder will then be shown by coupling SEM to EDX detector. On macroscopic scale, the structural characteristics such as fiber diameter, the pore radius, total porosity, the surface area and the air permeability will be introduced. The hydraulic properties (such as sorption isotherm and vapor permeability) and thermal properties (conductivity and diffusivity) are then studied. Some influences between these thermo-physical parameters are presented. Relations between air permeability and humidity content against thermal will be analyzed.

This paper considers the problem of scheduling a fleet of identical vehicles to execute a set of freight orders in truckload quantities. We propose an algorithm that starts from an optimal solution to a network flow model which considers all data in the problem in parallel including unloaded travel costs, freight orders, depots, availability of vehicles and the vehicle receiving capacity at each depot. The network solution is then iteratively modified through heuristic operations and the routing of vehicles is determined based on the modified solution. A novel feature of the algorithm is the option of resolving the network model for scheduling the remaining vehicles.
