EEG-based Emotion Recognition for Multi Channel Fast Empirical Mode Decomposition using VGG-16 基于VGG-16的多通道快速经验模态分解脑电图情感识别

Much attention has been paid to the recognition of human emotions with the help of EEG signals based on machine learning methods. Human Emotion recognition is yet a difficult task to perform due to the non-linear property of the EEG signals. This paper presents an advanced signal processing method using the deep neural function to extract features using VGG-16 from all channels related to emotion. To reduce the computational costs of emotion recognition and achieve better results, this article presents a Fast Empirical mode decomposition (FEMD) model which significantly reduce the feature size for fast processing. In the proposed method, we convert the signal into a two-dimensional wavelet spectrogram and calculate the characteristics of each subject. An EEG-based emotional classification model using a Deep Neural Network (DNN) model is proposed on the SJTU SEED and DEAP datasets. Random Forest, SVM and k-NN are used to classify data into positive / negative / neutral dimensions for SEED data sets and Arousal/Valence dimensions for DEAP dataset. The proposed model achieves better accuracy on the SEED and DEAP datasets, as compared to other advanced methods of human emotion recognition.

Resolving Data De-Duplication issues on Cloud 解决云上的重复数据删除问题

Data de-duplication refers to provide the cloud providers a way to manage the uncontrollable data and the challenges of cloud storage. The success of IOT and social media led us to face big data challenges. Big data is interesting but also becomes a critical challenge for cloud service providers. Data storage and management become also the topic of discussion where big data generate opportunity for business as well as come with big issues for the cloud providers. In this paper, we discussed the issues of redundant data and techniques to prevent the data redundancy on the cloud. Version control system for data de-duplication is also discussed for the solution of this problem.

Modeling of a Turbine System for Digital Instrumentation and Control System Design 面向数字仪表控制系统设计的汽轮机系统建模

To study the dynamic behavior of steam turbine system, model of steam turbine is required. In this paper, 1st mathematical modeling of the steam turbine unit is developed based on continuity equation than model of extraction steam turbine is developed based on continuity equation having 3 sections, i.e., High pressure (HP), Intermediate pressure (IP) and low pressure (LP) turbine. Transfer function model is, then, implemented in MATLAB/Simulink to obtain the torque characteristics of steam turbine system. Over speeding of steam turbine can prove to be catastrophic in an Nuclear Power Plant Station (NPPS). Steam turbine, therefore, should run at a prespecified reference speed. In this research work, Two control algorithms are designed for speed control of steam turbine namely Proportional (P) Control, Proportional-Integral (PI) Control. These control systems are developed for generic steam turbine model taking re-heater valve into consideration. Speed characteristics are, then, obtained for each control algorithm. Comparison of different control schemes is also studied. the better performance of steam turbine is achieved using developed Controllers.

The usability of e-commerce websites and m-commerce applications are considered the growing area of research. The availability of high tech mobile devices and wireless internet has made the speedy growth of m-commerce business. However, e-commerce websites are considered the backbone of the industry because they provide a low-cost solution to exchange services related information. Numerous websites and mobile applications are available for different purposes and success will highly depend upon ease of use and usefulness. The aim of this study is to conduct a review of the emergent usability attributes of mobile applications and websites. This paper also deliberated the usability models, frameworks and platforms. Our research will provide guidelines for constructing future strategies for designing websites and mobile applications with improved usability features.

Design of IoT Embedded Smart Energy Management System 物联网嵌入式智能能源管理系统设计

The deployment of Internet of Things (IoT) in systems has made smart homes energy efficient, secure and remotely accessible. The goal of this research is to design a system that provides smart switching, monitoring and control of loads for reducing the units consumed and hence the electricity bills. To achieve this goal, this paper presents a system which combines IoT platform, android application and web-based monitoring using APIs (Application Programming Interface). For this purpose, Arduino is employed as a processing unit, NodeMCU 12-E as communication interface, Relays as switching interface and Blynk app as controlling and monitoring interface. This paper contributes to design a model that would make home energy monitored and manageable.

Review of Flower Pollination Algorithm: Applications and Variants 花卉授粉算法综述:应用与变异

Flower Pollination Algorithm (FPA) is a nature inspired metaheuristic algorithm that mimics the behavior of pollination of flowering plants. FPA has been created by Yang in 2012 showing its better performance than other metaheuristic algorithms. Many variants of FPA have been established since 2012 to solve complex problems of different research domains. In this paper, application of different FPA variants are discussed based on modifications, tuning parameters and hybridizing FPA with other algorithms. This paper is very useful for researchers as it introduces general pollination process of flowers, its conversion to algorithm, application of FPA in different domains and particularly to parameter estimation problem of PV cells and modules. Future recommendations have also been given for new researchers.

Internet of Things (IoT) is widely used in smart energy monitoring, industrial automation, and a variety of applications. At various stages of Smart Grid (SG), IoT devices are deployed to monitor and control grid statistics for reliable and efficient delivery of power. Although IoT integration in the SG domain provides manifold benefits, the challenges in IoT-SG integration needs to be solved for the efficient operation of the grid. In this paper, firstly an overview of SG and IoT based SG system is provided. This project describes the IoT based power monitoring system that is capable to measure and analyze the electrical parameters such as voltage, current, active power, and energy consumption of loads. IoT based software application ‘ThingSpeak’ is used to obtain the real-time electrical data of consumers. Based on this data, the consumer and electric power companies in the SG paradigm can better manage their consumption to reduce billing costs.
