Electrical Load Forecasting Techniques employed in Power Sector of Pakistan 电力负荷预测技术在巴基斯坦电力部门的应用

This paper elaborates different methodologies used in National Transmission and Despatch Company (NTDC) Pakistan for electrical energy and power demand forecast i.e. Regression Analysis and Power Market Survey (PMS). It includes forecasting both energy and peak power demand for Pakistan’s power system. Forecast energy and power demands with high precision is highly significant; an underestimation will result in load shedding and an overestimation will cause overinvestment. For regression analysis, top-down econometric technique of Ordinary Least Square is applied at disaggregate level i.e. domestic, commercial, industrial and agriculture sector to forecast energy consumption. PMS methodology is categorized as bottom up approach, i.e. energy and power demands are forecasted from 11kV feeder level, DISCO level and finally aggregated for NTDC level. The comparison between the two methodologies is presented in the paper as well. Moreover, the forecasted demand is compared with actual demand experienced historically.

Design and Comparative Analysis of 2.45 GHz Rectangular microstrip Patch Antenna 2.45 GHz矩形微带贴片天线的设计与比较分析

Over the years, there has been plenty of development in communication systems which requires the development of low cost, minimum weight and low profile antennas that are efficient for maintaining great performance over a wide spectrum of frequency. The aim of this paper is to simulate, design and fabricate a rectangular microstrip patch antenna for analytical studies and global WLAN applications. The antenna is designed to operate at 2.45 GHz resonant frequency. FR-4 is used as a dielectric substrate with relative permittivity of 4.4 and thickness of 1.6 mm. The antenna proposed here have been modeled and simulated using High-Frequency Structure Simulator (HFSS) and MATLAB. The obtained results of antennas simulation indicates that the designed antenna fulfills the requirements and characteristics for different frequency bands. Also, results shows a good agreement with comparative analysis.

An Outline Design of Standalone Renewable Energy Generation for a Remote Mobile Phone Base Station in Shalbandi, Pakistan 巴基斯坦沙尔班迪偏远移动电话基站独立可再生能源发电的概要设计

A standalone solar-wind hybrid system has been proposed in this paper to supply power to a cellular phone base station of Shalbandi which is a rural/remote area of Pakistan. The comparison of proposed system has been done with a conventional power generator system. The analysis of three cases with different % shares of renewable energy based system has been carried out and the most viable combination of renewables is suggested depending upon the site conditions. It has been concluded from the results that the off-grid hybrid renewable energy based systems have myriad benefits if deployed with base station in rural or remote areas.

Blockchain-based Supply Chain for the Automation of Transaction Process: Case Study based Validation 基于区块链的交易流程自动化供应链:基于案例研究的验证

The transaction issue in the area of supply chain management plays a vital role among stakeholders. For the reasonable processes of transportation and logistics in the supply chain, the sharing of the transaction is very crucial. The current supply chain management has several shortcomings in security and trust issues in the transaction process. Therefore, information is shared on paper-based and a semi digitalizes way. In this paper, we analyze a trust issue in supply chain and design a new propose scheme based on blockchain technology for resolving the problem in the supply chain and automate the whole payment process through a smart contract. The case study based validation is performed. The result shows that blockchain improves the transaction process.

An Optimal Site Selection for Distributed Generation in the Distribution Network by QPSO Algorithm 基于QPSO算法的配电网分布式发电最优选址

Environmental concerns, technology improvement and deregulation of electricity markets have encouraged the use of Distributed Generation (DG) sources. An optimal site selection for DG placement can improve distribution system efficiency by minimizing network losses and improving system voltage. Finding an optimal place of DG for a distribution network is a complex optimization issue. In this paper, we have demonstrated the modified version of Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) called Quantum Behaved PSO (QPSO) algorithm to determine optimal location of DG units for power loss minimization. A standard IEEE 33 and 69-node distribution network are used to validate the effectiveness of the demonstrated method. The simulation results are matched with the literature and it is established that the QPSO has better ability to minimize network losses and improve system voltage by finding more precise location for DG installation.

Efficiency Improvement of a Hybrid Power System using Lead-Lag Compensator (LLC) 采用超前滞后补偿器(LLC)提高混合动力系统效率

Installation of hybrid electrical power system is imperative to fulfil the escalated energy demand of consumers. Now a days, there is a propensity in using renewable energy resources due to its cost effectiveness. However, multiple generating systems and the switching between them creates serious problems regarding distortions and harmonics which needs to be eliminated. In this study, a grid connected hybrid system has been proposed with linear loads. The hybrid system works under the standard conditions of wind and temperature. System has been assessed by applying Newton Raphson method and efficiency has been improved by using lead lag compensator (LLC). ETAP software has been used for simulation purpose. The effectiveness of the electrical system is measured by considering the load intake and consumption.

A robust variable step-size LMS algorithm is proposed. The variable step-size is a weighted running average of the squared error signal which varies as the square of the estimated error changes. The weighting factor ensures stability and convergence. Robustness of the algorithm is achieved through the step-size inherent bounded nature and independence from the initial condition. The algorithm is compared with two benchmark VSS algorithms. Convergence and steady-state behavior of the proposed adaptive filter are analyzed. Simulation for the system identification scenario is carried out and the performance of the proposed algorithm is compared.

Internet of Things is an enticing paradigm for the last few decades and becoming popular in the researcher’s community. The conversion of every physical object into the smart object is their goal. Besides, the idea of emerging IoT with Social networking concept has also gained significant popularity by which the smart objects can broadly interact with each other. The resulting paradigm Social Internet of Things (SIoT) is the promising platform for contemporary applications and services. Presently, the SIoTs proved to be ingenious, but the IoTs growing exponentially which can evolve a challenging situation while probing precise service or object among billions of objects. Small-world phenomena have exposed some exciting facts and instigated scholars to discover the concealed connections between two people around the globe. This research consolidates the Social IoT technique with the concept of small-world. By incorporating the properties of small-world in Social IoTs, we influential the Smart Social Agent (SSA). SSA guarantees to search suitable friendships (i.e. Friend IoT objects) and the user’s requested services without human involvement. SSA could be any object in SIoTs.

The conversion of every physical object into the smart object is their goal. Besides, the idea of emerging IoT with Social networking concept has also gained significant popularity by which the smart objects can broadly interact with each other. The resulting paradigm Social Internet of Things (SIoT) is the promising platform for contemporary applications and services. Presently, the SIoTs proved to be ingenious, but the IoTs growing exponentially which can evolve a challenging situation while probing precise service or object among billions of objects. Small-world phenomena have exposed some exciting facts and instigated scholars to discover the concealed connections between two people around the globe. This research consolidates the Social IoT technique with the concept of small-world. By incorporating the properties of small-world in Social IoTs, we influential the Smart Social Agent (SSA). SSA guarantees to search suitable friendships (i.e. Friend IoT objects) and the user’s requested services without human involvement.
