GPS-Free Localization Schemes for Underwater Wireless Sensor Networks 水下无线传感器网络无gps定位方案

Compared to other localization algorithms, the SemiDefinite Programming (SDP) approach has proved to deliver accurate results even in noisy backgrounds. In this paper, we propose a novel design for underwater localization systems using SemiDefinite Programming. The objective is to provide marine scientists with a cost-effective efficient way in conducting relevant research. Two designs, fixed-position and magnified-range, are proposed. Both schemes have shown a high accuracy and an outstanding performance according to simulation results. Future research directions are discussed at the end of this paper.

Tiny Function-Linking for Energy-Efficient Reprogramming in Wireless Sensor Networks 无线传感器网络中节能重编程的微小功能链接

The remote and automatic reprogramming is an indispensable part in the wireless sensor networks. Especially, the energy saving problem is an important challenge because of a limited energy characteristic. Many kinds of conventional researches about reprogramming have tried to solve the energy saving problem. But they do not consider the energy consumption model and still have inefficient memory access times. In this paper, we propose a tiny function-linking scheme. It performs function relocation to decrease program code shift and connects relocated function with a tiny function-linker to eliminate function caller changes. This proposed scheme reduces access times to Electrically Erasable Programmable Read-Only Memory (EEPROM) and program memory during the decoding procedure of the reprogramming. Experimental results show that our scheme outperforms the previous reprogramming schemes in terms of the energy consumption.

Two-Layered Wireless Sensor Networks for Warehouses and Supermarkets 仓库和超市的双层无线传感器网络

The rapid development of wireless sensor network and RFID technologies offers a wide range of novel applications and services. In this paper, we present a two-layered wireless network for warehouses and supermarkets to monitor goods storage and sale, and assist for quality management and market analysis. The hierarchical architecture uses IEEE 802.15.4a impulse ultra-wideband radio (IR-UWB) communication protocol between slave sensor nodes and master sensor nodes, and IEEE 802.11b/g between master sensor nodes and server. The performance of our proposal is evaluated based on the widely used OMNeT++ simulation environment. Simulation results are presented and discussed according to different sampling rates and traffic loads for specific scenarios requirements.

Effect of Transmission Rates on the Performance of Ant-Based Routing Algorithms for MANETs 传输速率对基于蚁群路由算法性能的影响

An ant-based routing algorithm is a class of ant colony optimization algorithms which are inspired by the behavior of ants in nature. An efficient ant-based routing algorithm (EAR) for mobile ad-hoc networks has been proposed in order to support multi-path routes and to reduce overheads by managing ants efficiently. In this paper, the performances of EAR and AntHocNet are analyzed to see how these algorithms perform when transmission rate increases. The simulation results show that EAR provides less overhead, resulting faster end-to-end delivery of data as the transmission rate increases and node mobility increases.

Location Privacy Through Users' Collaboration: A Distributed Pseudonymizer 通过用户协作的位置隐私:一个分布式的假名器

Mobile devices able to locate themselves such as mobile phones and PDAs are virtually everywhere, and they are expected to gain more importance in the near future. Their ability to determine locations opens the door to a new bunch of services: the so-called location-based services (LBS). The commercial sector will highly benefit from LBS. However, they are not without a cost — privacy. In this article we present a (trusted third party)-free, distributed, collaborative method to preserve the location privacy of LBS users.

Robust and Accurate Packet Detection and Frequency Offset Compensation for CSS System CSS系统鲁棒准确的数据包检测与频偏补偿

In this paper, we propose a new robust packet detection and frequency offset compensation structure for IEEE 802.15.4a chirp spread spectrum (CSS) which is a standard for wireless personal area network (WPAN). The proposed structure takes benefits of both cross- and auto-correlation. Cross-correlation is useful to remove additional side band noise in the CSS system and to find sharp peaks among filtered output values. In addition, we use the auto-correlation in order to suppress the effect of frequency offset and the initial channel phase. Simulation results show that the proposed procedure is robust to the frequency offset, and can detect the presence of a signal in very low signal to noise ratio (SNR).

Electronic Sketch Map Services for Mobile Applications 移动应用程序的电子草图地图服务

The automatic sketch map generation technique proposed in this study can provide the optimum additional information for various services by automatically changing the conventional information presented by a type of digital map into the type of sketch map that improves its understanding and visual appearance. Also, the proposed technique can be applied to not only mobile based services but also web based services and that makes possible to apply it to various geographic information services.
