Identification of mechanical properties of an araldite LY556 blended with DNR composite and polyacetal: A comparative study for sustainable future 聚缩醛与DNR复合材料共混的alalite LY556力学性能的比较研究

Epoxy material being a key in a wide range of applications has become a center of attraction for interdisciplinary research. However, the limitations so far reported in using this material has led to the development of some new pitches such as Polyacetal and Araldite. Polyacetal being currently employed in bushes, wipers, gears, etc. while Araldite composites with a potential of delivering some august properties can be an alternative approach to the former. In this work, a comparative study is carried out on the me-chanical attributes of Polyacetal and Araldite (Epoxy) material. Various ASTM standard specimens casted with these materials are subjected to some exploratory assessments such as Tensile Test, Izod Impact Test, Charpy Impact Test, Three-point Bending Test and Vicker’s Hardness Test in order to determine the respective properties.

A fuzzy Pythagorean TODIM method for sustainable ABC analysis in inventory management 库存管理中可持续ABC分析的模糊毕达哥拉斯TODIM方法

This paper aims to improve the ABC analysis method used for inventory management by applying the Pythagorean Fuzzy TODIM approach. ABC analysis is one the well-known and widely used inventory classification techniques which divides inventory items into three categories according to their importance and value. However, the traditional ABC analysis does not consider the imprecision and vagueness of real-world inventory data, which can lead to inaccurate results and poor inventory management decisions. The proposed approach enhances the traditional ABC analysis by incorporating fuzzy numbers to be considered in real-world inventory data. The improved ABC analysis helps companies to optimize inventory levels, reduce costs, improve customer service, and increase overall operational efficiency. To check for the reliability and effectiveness of the developed model under different scenarios sensitivity analysis is conducted. Additionally, the comparative analysis among other existing models further demonstrates the model's accuracy. The model prepared shows that the Pythagorean Fuzzy TODIM approach is superior to the conventional ABC analysis in terms of reliability and dealing with the uncertain inventory data. Overall, this paper provides a novel and effective approach to inventory management and offers valuable insights for practitioners and researchers in the field.

Investigating the effect of US dollar, gold and oil prices on the stock market 调查美元、黄金和石油价格对股市的影响

The capital market, as one of the main components of the financial markets, plays an important role in the economic development of countries. As financial markets become more globalized through the free flow of capital and international trade, price fluctuations in financial assets also affect other assets and markets. Due to the high impact of foreign exchange, gold, and oil markets on other financial markets, this study examined the impact of these markets on the Tehran Stock Exchange market from April 2015 to March 2021. In this regard, US dollar, ounces of gold, and crude oil are used as independent variables, and Tehran Price Index (TEPIX) is considered as a dependent variable. The results of the final model indicate that the prices of dollars, gold, and oil had significant effects on the total price index of the Tehran Stock Exchange.

Criticality trend analysis based on highway accident factors using improved data mining algorithms 基于改进数据挖掘算法的公路事故因素临界趋势分析

Highway accident data analysis provides probability of occurrence of road accidents by associating different accident factors using data mining algorithms. Analysis can be improved by using advanced data mining algorithms that compute relationships with minimum processing time. As accident datasets are very heterogeneous in nature, it is difficult to identify the relationship between critical factors responsible for road accidents without data mining algorithms. In this study, K-modes for clustering and frequent pattern growth algorithms to extract relationships between critical accident factors have been used. The accomplished result concludes better relationships with better accuracy than earlier implemented data mining algorithms and has found meaningful hidden situations that would be beneficial for future work in decreasing the number of highway accidents.

Neural network based model for estimating cutting force during machining of Ti6Al4V alloy 基于神经网络的Ti6Al4V合金切削力估计模型

The evolving technology has pushed machine learning techniques to replace human smartness. A machine learning model is capable of learning and replicating like our brain. This approach of data-driven model is implemented to predict the cutting force in machining of Ti6Al4V. Titanium alloys are commonly used in high strength applications due to their excellent properties. These same properties make the machining of the titanium alloy complicated. An attempt has been made for finding the cutting force under minimum quantity lubrication (MQL). MQL is a sustainable manufacturing-based lubrication system. Taguchi’s approach was used to attain a full factorial design for combination of different parameters. Accordingly, a neural network (NN) model was developed which was capable of predicting cutting forces based on the trained model. The proposed model could be implemented to find optimal parameters in shortest duration, thereby eliminating the need for experimental computations.

Strategies to Counter Supply Chain Disruptions for FMCG Brands during a Pandemic 应对大流行期间快速消费品品牌供应链中断的策略

The FMCG sector in developing nations is still not prepared to withstand any disruption brought on by the worldwide pandemic. In order to adapt to the new normal, businesses must make both micro and broad changes to their supply chain strategy. The goal of this research is to create plans to minimize any disruptions caused by upcoming pandemics. To restore the broken supply chain, a number of new implications and adjustments to the current attributes were proposed in the areas of sourcing, manufacturing, and distribution. Finding the fundamental drivers that are frequently impacted by the disturbance is part of the technique. The afflicted locations were the focus of the models' development. The ideas work as preventative measures intended to thwart the disturbance when and if it happens. In order to assess the model's viability, the Key Performance Indicators (KPI) value was ultimately retrieved with the aid of 25 industry experts. These suggestions may result in improved transparency, real-time monitoring, cost effectiveness, and responsiveness, among other benefits. Our analysis indicates that the KPI scores for procurement, production, and distribution are 92.86%, 82.14%, and 87.50%, respectively. The models' total viability is 87.50%. The most recent Covid-19 pandemic has provided us with a vivid illustration of what could go wrong in such circumstances. In both pandemic and non-pandemic conditions, the adaptation of stated suggestions at the aspect of sourcing, production, and distribution might result in a significant shift to organization-wide activities.

During the past two years, Canadian economy was on hold since there were many businesses closed due to COVID-19 pandemic. Many business owners decided to ask their employees to work from their homes and working in distance created some troubles for many clients. Businesses asked Canada post to deliver their orders. As a result, Canada post was met with huge orders where most of them were delivered late. It is estimated that supply chain disruption has hurt Canadian economy, significantly. This paper surveys the effects of supply chain disruption on Canadian economy.

Boosting operational performance through logistics drivers: Evidence from manufacturing industry 通过物流驱动提升运营绩效:来自制造业的证据

The aim of the study was to examine the impact of logistics drivers on the operational performance of large manufacturing industries in Ethiopia. To this end, the researchers employed an explanatory research design with a mixed approach. To select the case industries the researchers used the census sampling technique and stratified sampling technique for respondents’ selection. Both primary and secondary data were accessed about the issue to analyze. After the data collection process, the study used a partial least square structural equation model (PLS-SEM) to find the relationships between the hypothesized constructs. In this study, inferential analysis was made with the support of smart PLS software. The result of the finding depicts that the product of R2 Value specifies that 69.1% of enhancement in an endogenous variable (i.e., Operational performance) is caused by the joint results from the exogenous variable (i.e. Transportation, Inventory, and facility Management). The finding also shows that there are raw materials and currency problems that made the industries produce below their capacity.

Increasing safety in residential construction through a simplified earthquake- and typhoon-resistant guidelines 通过简化抗震和抗台风准则提高住宅建筑的安全性

This paper presents the engineering basis for a document, Residential Design and Construction Guidelines (hereafter, Guidelines). The Guidelines is developed by the engineers of Build Change and its partners based on their technical reconnaissance after the 2013 earthquake in Bohol on October 15, 2013, and Typhoon Haiyan on November 8, 2013. The Guidelines are centered on the observations of typical residential construction and damage in these areas and the requirements of the 2010 National Structural Code of the Philippines. The Guidelines provide illustrated and simple instructions on residential construction, making them accessible to homeowners and local builders. The Guidelines are designed for disaster-resistant, permanent low-rise housing construction, endorsed by the Department of Public Works and Highways of the Philippines (in March 2016). Increasing understanding and application of the Guidelines in residential construction in earthquake- and typhoon-prone areas will increase the structural safety of houses and the country's resiliency.

The moderating effect of farming contracts on the relationship between responsive supply chain elements and supply chain resilience 农业契约对响应性供应链要素与供应链弹性关系的调节作用

Food supply chain disruptions have of recent increased in terms of severity and frequency leading to viability problems for most businesses in related supply chain networks and hunger among millions of human beings. In the extant supply chain literature elements of responsive supply chain such as velocity, versatility, and visibility have been suggested as some of the possible strategies to build supply chain resilience. It has therefore been suggested in this study that these elements’ influence on supply chain resilience is moderated by contract farming as a special form of supplier development. Farming contracts are either production or marketing contracts. Data was collected from a conveniently selected sample of 200 restaurants that use supplier development in the form of contract farming for acquiring critical resources for their operations. A structural equation modelling was used to analyse data related to the direct effects and multi group structural equation modelling was used to assess the moderating effects. The results revealed that there is a statistically significant relationship between the three selected elements of responsive supply chain management and supply chain resilience, and all the hypothesised relationships were moderated by type of farming contracts, with the relationships being stronger under marketing contracts for supply chain velocity, and under production contracts than under marketing contracts for relationships involving versatility and visibility. Therefore, the study recommended that production contracts be used in the fast-food restaurant industry in order to reduce supply chain vulnerabilities, and marketing contracts to build supply chain capabilities. This is the first study that has sought to assess the differential utility of different farming contracts through assessing their moderating effects as a build-up on previous research that has already established that supplier development in the form of contract farming leads to supplier development.
