A survey on the effect of government and monetary policy on Canadian housing prices 关于政府和货币政策对加拿大房价影响的调查

During the past few months, the whole Canadian housing prices were witnessed an up-trend. People could enjoy the low interest rates to buy houses, even foreign investors were interested in participating in Canadian real estate pushing the prices up and up. As the COVID19 disappears, we see an uptrend on inflation and, on the other hand, the govern-ment placed some restrictions to prevent foreigners of purchasing houses in Canada. This paper investigates whether the government regulation and monetary policy could influence housing prices in Canada.

Resilience in waste management: A socioeconomic context for managing spent lithium batteries in Southeastern Nigeria 废物管理中的复原力:尼日利亚东南部管理废锂电池的社会经济背景

The global value chain (GVC) recognizes post production processes that involve socio economic engagements of stakeholders with electrical and electronic equipment (EEE or e-products) at their near or end of life. This paper attempts to measure some of the key social, economic, environmental, and sustainability indicators in line with GVC for lithium-ion batteries from e-products at their near or end of life. The assessment was based on the socioeconomic impacts on the battery sector for managing spent lithium-ion (Li-ion) batteries in Southeastern Nigeria. The study methodology highlighted strategic features in line with socioeconomic assessment by deploying questionnaire administration. Ten (10) local government areas (LGAs) were purposely selected from five mutually exclusive States, with 100 stakeholders investigated. Descriptive statistics were used to analyze data for innovation potentials for the battery recycling/refurbishing sector, and discussed accordingly under sustainability, social, economic and environmental impacts. The socioeconomic drivers (or outcomes) for the recycling and refurbishing of lithium ion batteries touched on self-sustainability, institutionalization, service demand, service utilization and prevalence.

Nature inspired firefighter assistant by unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) data 大自然启发的消防员助手由无人机(UAV)数据

One of the most hazardous phenomena in forests is wildfire or bush fire and early detection of massive damage prevention is vital. Employing Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) as a visual and extinguisher tool in order to prevent this tragedy which brings fatal effects on humans and wildlife has high importance. Additionally, using aerial imagery could assist firefighters to recognize fire intensity and localize and route the fire in the forest which shrinks down casualties of firefighters. All these benefits and more is just possible by employing cheap UAVs. The proposed research uses nature-inspired image processing techniques in order to segment and classify fire in color and thermal images. Multiple nature-inspired and traditional computer vision techniques, including Chicken Swarm Algorithm (CSA) intensity adjustment (contrast enhancement), Denoising Convolutional Neural Network (DnCNN), Local Phase Quantization (LPQ) feature extraction, Bees Image Segmentation, Biogeography-Based Optimization (BBO) feature selection, Firefly Algorithm (FA) classification and more are employed to achieve high classification and segmentation accuracy. The system evaluates nine performance metrics including, F-Score, Accuracy, and Jaccard for the segmentation stage and four performance metrics for the classification stage. All experiments are conducted on the two most recent UAV fire datasets of FLAME (2021) and DeepFire (2022). Additionally, fire intensity, fire direction, and fire geometrical calculation are calculated which assists firefighters even more. As smoke shows the location of the fire, a smoke detection workflow is proposed, too. Proposed system Compared with traditional and novel methods for segmentation and classification leading to satisfactory and promising results for almost all metrics. The trained model of this system could be used in most of the current rescue UAVs in real-time applications. For the FLAME dataset (color data), segmentation precision is 95.57 % and classification accuracy is 91.33 %. Also, For the DeepFire dataset segmentation precision is 91.74 % and classification accuracy is 96.88 %.

Predicting demand in a bottled water supply chain using classical time series forecasting models 使用经典时间序列预测模型预测瓶装水供应链的需求

In this paper, various classical time series forecasting methods were compared to determine the forecasting method with the highest accuracy in predicting demand of the 50cl product of a bottled water supply chain. The classical time series forecasting methods compared are the moving average, weighted moving average, exponential smoothing, adjusted exponential smoothing, linear trend line, Holt’s model, and Winter’s model. These methods were evaluated to determine the method with the least Mean Absolute Deviation (MAD) value and hence the highest forecasting accuracy. From the results, the weighted moving average forecasting method had the lowest MAD value of 1,987, making it the forecasting method with the highest accuracy for predicting the 50cl bottled water demand. While the exponential smoothing forecasting method had the highest MAD value of 2,483, making it the forecasting method with the least accuracy for predicting the 50cl bottled water demand. This research provides a procedure for aiding supply chain analysts in implementing demand forecasting using classical time series forecasting models.

The role of sustainable oil maintenance on lubrication system reliability 油的持续保养对润滑系统可靠性的作用

This article discusses the value of sustainable oil maintenance by using submicron high-tech offline filtration based on oil condition monitoring to reduce wear particles and improve system reliability. These activities incorporate broader goals of establishing a proactive maintenance approach, defined as continuous monitoring and controlling of the root causes of machine failure. Among these causes, contamination is the industry's most severe, popular, and most recognized failure cause. In order to ensure all necessary proactive maintenance activities, this paper uses practical analysis for oil contamination monitoring based on ISO 4405. The author applied a 0.1-micron high-tech offline filtration for lubrication systems of ball mills in the Sungun copper mine as an oil maintenance activity to control the system lubrication contamination as a root cause of failures.

Analyzing the relationship between green innovation, creative excellence, empowerment and marketing performance of Indonesian SMEs 印尼中小企业绿色创新、创意卓越、赋权与营销绩效的关系分析

This study aims to explain the partial and simultaneous effect of green innovation, competitive advantage and empowerment on marketing performance. Quantitative research method is used through data collection from online surveys with a sample of 130 respondents. Green innovation variable with innovation indicators in processes and products, competitive advantage variable with unique product indicators, flexibility, customer relationships and empowerment variables are measured from the dimensions of market development, knowledge and facilities. The marketing performance variable is expressed in three dimensions, namely sales, growth, and market share. The measurement of respondents' answers to the questions in the questionnaire adopts a Likert scale consisting of seven alternative answers. Furthermore, the results of the questionnaire are analyzed using multiple linear regression with the help of the SPSS program. The results of the research indicate that competitive advantage and empowerment have a positive and significant effect on marketing performance, however, green innovation has a negative and insignificant effect on marketing performance. Simultaneously there is a positive and significant effect of green innovation, excellence competitiveness and empowerment on SME marketing performance.

Qualitative design and quantitative analysis of sustainable business models using value triangular business model canvas and system dynamics 使用价值三角商业模式画布和系统动力学对可持续商业模式进行定性设计和定量分析

To date, the use of three key aspects together has received little attention in studies on sustainable business models (SBMs). These aspects are a) the qualitative design of SBMs based on a valid sustainable business model canvas presented so far, b) the dynamic quantitative analysis of the designed SBMs, and c) the identification of appropriate business policies for different future scenarios, not just for one. Therefore, in this research, an attempt is made to study all three aspects by proposing a new practical framework based on one of the latest SBMs, called value triangular business model canvas (VTBMC), and system dynamics. To evaluate the proposed framework in the real world, it was implemented as a case study in Farassan Industrial and Manufacturing Company, one of the companies producing composite pipes. The results showed that the proposed framework helps business owners and managers identify the proper policies to achieve their key business objectives in the future under critical uncertainties and also create appropriate balanced values for a wide range of stakeholders, rather than just for shareholders.

A sustainable inventory model for growing items considering carbon emissions, product expiry, and profit-sharing policy 考虑到碳排放、产品到期和利润分享政策的增长项目的可持续库存模型

In this article, a multi-echelon supply chain for growing and deteriorating items, where the grower has a lot of live newborn items (growing) is discussed. The grower transfers the matured inventory to the processor in each shipment. The processor begins to process the stock as a ready-sale product in the market. The processor also delivers the processed inventory to the retailer in each shipment in the non-processing period of his cycle length. Then the processor offers trade credit to the retailer and makes the retailer agree to share a portion of his profit with him. The product’s life cycle when in the hand of the retailer is certain and it expires after some time t. Carbon emission during processing is considered while packing and preserving the livestock for sale. Depending on these assumptions, there are six possibilities to discuss profit values. Sensitivity analysis was also brought to verify the optimal determined values. The profit-sharing sharing method’s outcome benefits the processor and the retailer more.

Spatial disease mapping using the Poisson-Gamma model 使用泊松-伽玛模型的空间疾病制图

In disease mapping, it is preferable to estimate the risk rather than the significance in general, but the variation in estimation precision across the geographical map of the study region must also be taken into consideration. In such a situation the conventional methods would not yield the best estimates. Heterogeneity is an important aspect to be considered as significant in Disease Mapping and relative risk estimation. The simple regression models often do not capture the extent of the variation exhibited in the spatial count data. This is the case when the spatial data is over-dispersed or there is spatial correlation due to unobserved confounders. In such situations, it is appropriate to include some additional terms, which may be in the form of the prior distribution. In this paper, a Poisson model with Gamma prior is used to model and map the dengue incidences in Tamil Nadu to explain the patterns of variations.

Sustainability of maize supply chains: The role of supplier development in the form of command farming in Mazowe district, Zimbabwe 玉米供应链的可持续性:津巴布韦马佐韦地区指挥农业形式下供应商发展的作用

The world is increasingly witnessing food insecurity and deteriorating individual and global livelihoods. This study sought to assess the effectiveness of contract farming in the form of command farming in achieving sustainability of maize supply chain in Zimbabwe. A descriptive approach was adopted where a sample of 35 agricultural experts were randomly selected to respond to questionnaires. The researchers also relied on interviews with farmers, the results of which were triangulated with quantitative data to improve the dependability of results. The study shows a positive and significant relationship between command farming and sustainability of the maize supply chain in Mazowe district of Zimbabwe. The study, therefore, recommends the government to invest more in command agriculture to improve productivity and sustainability in the maize sector. It further recommends investment in joint contract farming with agricultural firms and government to improve farming business to sustain the country’s agricultural sector.
