The article is a response to the commentaries on „Migration und Weltbürgerrecht“ (2019) by Gustavo Leyva, Daniel Loewe and Roberta Picardi. After a brief introduction, I highlight the central questions of the commentaries and formulate answers to the objections raised. The three commentaries deal with four major topics: the reconstruction of the basis of Kant's justification of Cosmopolitan Right, its scope with special reference to the prohibition of non-refoulement, the significance of public space in Kant's argumentation in the Doctrine of Right, and the argumentative status of provisional possession in Kant's political philosophy. Der Beitrag antwortet auf die Kommentare zu Migration und Weltbürgerrecht von Gustavo Leyva, Daniel Loewe und Roberta Picardi. Nach einer kurzen Einführung stelle ich die zentralen Fragen der Kommentare heraus und formuliere Antworten auf die vorgebrachten Einwände. Die drei Kommentare beschäftigen sich dabei mit vier größere Themenkomplexen: die Rekonstruktion der Begründungsgrundlage des Weltbürgerrechts bei Kant, dessen Reichweite unter besonderer Berücksichtigung des Verbots auf Nichtabweisung, die Bedeutung des öffentlichen Raums in der Argumentation Kants in der Rechtslehre und den argumentativen Status des provisorischen Besitzes in Kants Rechtsphilosophie.

This paper examines some key aspects of Kant’s critique of Wolffian mathematical method in the Deutlichkeit (1764). The aim is to show how the ontological question of principles underlies this critique. To do so, I will first show that Wolff identifies the mathematical method with a universal model of inquiry, which is based on the principles of rationalist ontology. I will therefore focus on a key element of this model, namely that of definition. In doing so, I will be able to show that it is precisely by looking at the process of definition that Kant makes his distinction between the synthetic model of mathematics and the analytic one of philosophy. Finally, I will show that for Kant, albeit differently, both these models are not reducible to the formal principles of rationalist ontology.

This paper aims at shedding light on a thesis, which appears not to be fully and systematically developed in Reinhardt’sbook: the thesis that Kant stands in the way of the main streams of contemporary philosophical-political debate, insofaras his legal-political philosophy allows for a fundamental questioning of the nexus between private property,sovereignty and the right of exclusion. To this end, one will firstly show how Reinhardt interprets the articulationbetween the three terms - land ownership, sovereignty, and the right of exclusion - by collecting the references to thissubject scattered throughout her book (§1). On the basis of this reconstruction, the essay will critically focus on twopoints: on the one hand, the nexus between private land ownership and "public space" (§ 2); on the other hand, thestatus of "provisional possession" in Kantian legal philosophy (§ 3).In conclusion, one will summon up the results of the analysis in order to put forward the distinctive features of Kant’sdeduction of property rights which allows to critically rethink the triad ownership/ sovereignty and exclusion.

After an overview of Mendelssohn’s catalogue of proofs for the existence of God, a detailed analysis of his new and original proof from the imperfectness of our self-knowledge, set out in Morning Hours, is offered. Kant’s and his disciple Jakob’s criticisms are then stated. The former refers very briefly to the Mendelssohnian proof on two occasions. The latter, instead, scrutinises it thoroughly in his Examination of Mendelssohn’s Morning Hours. The main result of this confrontation is that Kant and Jakob fail to adequately assess the peculiarity and novelty of Mendelssohn’s proof since both thinkers interpret the proof as being based not so much on the imperfection of our self-knowledge as on the demands of our reason in thinking the possible and the actual.
