The technological landscape is witnessing a convergence process between mainstream technologies, especially Smart Objects (SOs), and technologies for elderlies. The experience of the resulting devices, the Elderly Friendly Smart Objects (EFSOs), is still understudied in literature. A qualitative study revealed how the use of EFSOs can give elderly consumers more autonomy and social connections. At the same time, data showed the critical role of their family in adopting and using EFSOs. Having seniors using the EFSO can create a more immediate and straightforward (digital) connection between elderly parents and their adult kids. This process can result in more safety for the parents and more peace of mind for the adult kids.

With the introduction of the third mission concept, universities have been increasingly asked to perform different activities besides teaching and researching, outreaching knowledge outside their boundaries and assuming a leading role in fostering innovation in modern knowledge-intensive societies. However, how do the three academic missions pursued by entrepreneurial universities interact with each other? To what logics do they refer? To address these questions, institutional logics are leveraged as a theoretical lens in this study. Thus, a qualitative system dynamics model (i.e., a causal loop diagram) was developed to investigate how entrepreneurial universities respond to logic multiplicity, providing different implications for both researchers and policy-makers.

The aim of this paper is to highlight the importance of “Strategy” within businesses in the retail sector. It is undoubtedly a main factor that all businesses consist of a supply chain and for the efficient operation of that business it must be managed proactively to be successful. The advent of Covid-19 worldwide has affected all types of businesses that of the retail sector. Its' influx has created the need for a more radical approach to strategizing and the analysis of the whole procurement process. This paper descriptively will be focusing on three key components to the process being strategizing, employees and logistics. Because of Covid-19, businesses are now fast tracking their business practices in line with that of the “Internet of Things (IOT)” for ultimate survival of the business and its longevity. It is a thought of the author that, “With the correct business mindset, everything you do should be with the intention for it to ethically lead to the pronounce accumulation of profit”. To achieve this one must focus on the mission of the business and its vision thus activating the strategic elements to compensate.

The purpose of this research is to contribute to knowledge management literature broadening our understanding of knowledge sabotage and designing a motivational framework to limit or avoid sabotage incidents in practice. In our empirical investigation, data collection takes place through online questionnaires and interviews addressed to employees and managers of heterogeneous companies. We expect to identify a negative relationship between intrinsic and extrinsic motivations to share knowledge and the phenomenon of knowledge sabotage. In the end, our conclusions will be useful to expand researchers and practitioners' awareness of the most extreme counterproductive workplace behavior that threatens the process of knowledge sharing.

The aim of the paper is to investigate how a BC-based platform for citizens' involvement in urban planning should be developed taking a human-centered perspective. Specifically, the paper adopts a Value Sensitive Design (VSD) approach to identify the key values driving the technological infrastructure development and design of a blockchain-based participation platform for urban planning. The study is empirical and based BBBlockchain: an App specifically conceived to improve citizens participation in urban planning decisions in two major residential development projects in Berlin. From a preliminary investigation on the information layer of participation, it can be argued that the most important values include transparency, inclusiveness and confidentiality.

Blockchain technologies are becoming increasingly important in social, economic, and environmental activities. While new technologies, such as blockchain, might have important features that could impact sustainability frameworks, academic literature is still scarce. Our work reviews the current literature and provides an overview on applications in different industries as well as their impact and feasibility.

Customer is the king of the market, and each of them has different tastes and Preferences. Nowadays, personalization has become a challenge for the company. Companies use different promotional techniques where they can gain more and more potential customers. Although the trend of digital marketing that most companies have adopted in their working flow is witnessed presently, this poses a challenge for the companies to develop competitive intelligence. In order to tackle this challenge, companies need to look for newer ways. So the next big trend in Marketing is going to be Artificial intelligence which has acted as a revolution and provides real-time data analysis of the customers. It helps in targeting the right audience at the right time with the right content. The main motive of doing this research is to help companies articulate the importance of AI & ML in the placements of Ads and branding of their products to identify the opportunities available in the market before their competitors. Also, think about the possible implications of AI & ML in marketing where humans and machines can work together in the near future. The application of AI in marketing may be vast, but this paper has very limited scope to the benefits of AI & ML in the advertising of a product or service rather than using traditional marketing methods.

The study aims to analyse the ability of hybrid organizational and business models to improve the access to the external finance. In detail and based on the signalling theory, it has been hypothesized that firms adopting a growing form of hybrid organizational model, i.e. the Benefit Company, can potentially obtain more external finance in form of debt by signalling to investors their status of CSR oriented firm. The findings from a sample of 954 Italian companies analysed in the period 2009–2018 show that the adoption of the Benefit Company's model has a positive effect only on the overall availability of finance, while the rate of short-debt seems to be not affected by the adoption of the analysed hybrid-organizational model.

This study aims to determine the factors that influence employees' intentions to take certain actions or behaviors which have implications for employee satisfaction and employees' desires to leave the company. This research provides insights for companies so that they can utilize HR information systems (HRIS) not only for personnel administrative purposes but also for increasing company productivity. The results of this study are expected to provide the company an overview on how to automate human resources management by utilizing HRIS effectively and efficiently. The respondents of this research were HR employees who work in state-owned enterprises in Indonesia. Structural Equation Modeling was used to analyze the data and hypotheses. This study found that compatibility, visibility, and relative advantage have positive effects on behavioral intention to use and have implications for user satisfaction. In addition, this study also found a relationship between complexity and behavioral intention to use as well as between behavioral intention to use and turnover intention.
