This article initiates the discussion about alternative idea that might break the deadlock in supporting materials for students with writing difficulty in inclusive school and children with special needs in general. This article discuss the importance of lettering book and alternatives in order to help children to overcome their weaknesses in learning basic skills such as writing. In this article, the writer includes introduction, types of special needs and low-level primary school students, the definition of lettering, parenting for helping the special needs children, and conclusion. Furthermore, the book can be used by teacher and parents outside the classroom to direct children’s activity and to control their progress in the remedy of their learning disabilities. In the last part, the writer urges publishers and teachers to develop lettering book for children with special needs to overcome the children’s difficulty in acquiring writing skills.

The title of this study is "The Role of Reading House Managers in Increasing Reading Interest in Elementary School Students in Pontianak City". The purpose of this study was to determine the role of Reading House managers in organizing activities to increase reading interest in elementary school students at Rumah Baca, efforts made by the Reading House manager to increase reading interest in elementary school students at Rumah Baca and the obstacles faced by Rumah Baca managers in increasing interest read elementary students at Pontianak Reading House. The approach used is a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data collection techniques used were interview techniques and documentation, with data collection tools in the form of interview guides and documentation. Based on the results of interviews and documentation that researchers have carried out proves that the manager's role influences students' reading interest in the Reading House. There are supporting factors, namely the existence of educational institutions as a place of fostering and inhibiting factors, namely the scarcity of the existence of interesting books. The effort taken is to find the cause of the low interest in reading.

This research is a type of research and development in learning Accounting in High School. The development model applied consists of; 1) the need analysis phase, 2) the product design stage, 3) the production stage, 4) the validation and evaluation stages, 5) the revision stage, 6) the product testing phase, and 7) the analysis phase and the final revision. The validation phase is carried out by product validation carried out by accounting material experts, learning media experts and accounting learning practitioners, namely the Santa Maria Catholic Vocational High School accounting teacher Pontianak. The product developed was tested on 34 grade XI Santa Maria Catholic Vocational High School Pontianak. Data collection is done by questionnaire and test. Questionnaire for eligibility for experts and practitioners, opinion questionnaires and test questions addressed to students. The results of the study show that the learning media in the form of Accounting Comics is very feasible to use. In testing the learning field using accounting comics, it was successful in increasing the average student test scores. Thus, the comic-shaped learning media is very feasible to use for learning accounting at the Catholic Santa Maria Vocational High School Pontianak.

The main purpose of conducting this research is to investigate students’ perception toward listening comprehension difficulties and the use of Top-down listening strategy in listening class of the ninth grade students of SMPN 13 Pontianak in the year 2018-2019. It also investigated the correlation between students’ listening difficulties and strategy usage. The method of this research is a cross-sectional survey. The data were collected by using a questionnaire, continuous Likert-scale. Then, the data collected from the questionnaire was analyzed by using descriptive statistical analysis to present the items frequency, mean, and standard deviation. The population of this research is all of the ninth grade students at SMPN 13 Pontianak. The total population is 333 students from 9 classes. While the participants are 168 selected through representative stratified random. The findings showed that accent, pronunciation, the speed of speech, lack of vocabulary, the complex grammatical structure, basic background knowledge, lack of concentration, bad quality of recording were the major difficulties encountered by the ninth grade students in SMPN 13 Pontianak. The development of listening skill to the learners must be intensified in language learning because listening is critical and important not only as a receptive skill but also as a tool needed for the development of spoken language ability.
