Forecast load impact from demand response resources 预测需求响应资源对负荷的影响

To improve forecasting accuracy for baseline load and load impact from demand response resources, this paper develops three innovative statistical models. These models are regression spline fixed effect model, fixed effect change point model and mixed effect change point model. The models developed are applied to forecast baseline load and load impact from air conditioning cycling demand response program in Southern California. All three forecasting models yield accurate forecasts for baseline load and load impact from demand response events. Noticeable rebound effect from demand response events are observed from the dataset.

Assessing the dispatch flexibility of coordinated solar and hydro generation 太阳能与水力发电协调调度灵活性评估

Dispatch flexibility denotes the capability of electrical generation that can be dispatched to serve the load. Hydro power generation with water reservoir has favorable dispatch flexibility that can be used to mitigate the intermittency and uncertainty of photovoltaic. Hydropower and photovoltaic can be coordinated by storing water energy in the peak hours of solar and shifting it to off-peak periods. In this paper, a metric of dispatch flexibility is defined to evaluate to what extent the solar and hydro generation can be coordinated. The methodology for measuring the dispatch flexibility of solar-hydro coordination is proposed based on a multi-scenario dispatch model considering the uncertainty of water inflow and solar irradiation. Results are drawn with a study on the first and largest solar-hydro coordination project in China, the Longyang Gorge (LYG) project. The study quantifies the generation dispatch flexibility of LYG project and illustrates the potential impact of different factors on solar-hydro coordinated generation.

Planning of hybrid power system for local industrial park in extreme arid and power shortage area 极端干旱缺电地区地方工业园区混合动力系统规划

This paper presents an efficient method to introduce renewable energy to an extreme and area lack of water resource and power supply. This paper systemically explains the process to install dispersed sources in a small-scaled rural power system. Three accurate calculation methods are selected and used for estimation and prediction of local power load including industrial park. The simulation defined ultimate penetration capacity based on power source combinations. Optimal structure of village and township is realized with smart micro-grid control unit.

Multiple prestriking phenomenon in high voltage transmission substations: Modeling and simulation 高压变电站多次预击现象:建模与仿真

This paper presents the prestriking and re-striking phenomenon caused by switching disconnect switches in a high-voltage switchyard. A detailed transient model of a representative utility 345 kV substation was developed in the electromagnetic transient program, EMTP-RV and the phenomenon was studied for different cases of multiple prestrike transients. It was determined that the transient voltages during prestriking could have large differential values which could put much more switching stress on the nearby circuit breaker and other equipment. This could be the probable cause of equipment failure in the future.

Flux estimation in DTC for wide speed range 大转速范围下直接转矩控制的磁链估计

The focus of this work is to compare the different flux estimators in an induction motor(IM) direct torque control system (DTC) for wide speed operation. The back electromotive force (EMF) has to be integrated to estimate the stator flux linkage. The error in the stator flux linkage is due to the initial condition and DC offset in the acquired feedback signals. The flux estimation techniques, which overcome the initial condition and DC offset problems are explained and implemented experimentally in an open loop on a 1.1Kw induction motor for a speed range of 60rpm to 3000rpm (revolutions per minute) in motoring mode.

Accurate validation of Electromagnetic Transient models of cascaded power transmission systems 级联输电系统电磁暂态模型的精确验证

Conventional transmission line model validation methods are not suitable for validating Electromagnetic Transient (EMT) models of cascaded transmission systems such as cross-bonded cables due to accumulation of errors in repeated matrix multiplications. This paper introduces an approach to accurately validate EMT models of such cascaded transmission systems. This technique utilizes four composite propagation functions and the characteristic admittances to represent the transmission line model. Results from electromagnetic transient models are compared with those from the novel technique and conventional validation techniques to demonstrate the superiority of this approach.

Optimal bilevel scheduling of electric vehicles in distribution system using dynamic pricing 基于动态定价的电动汽车配电网最优二级调度

The integration of distributed renewable energy sources (RES) and the electrification of devices raise new challenges for the distribution system operator (DSO). This paper assesses PAR versus cost tradeoff when scheduling an electric vehicle (EV) fleet. We formulate a bilevel Mixed-Integer Linear Programming optimization problem. At the lower level, we minimize individual household electricity bills using dynamic pricings. At the upper level, we aim to smooth the power load curve of a typical Brussels MV/LV transformer. We show that a small deviation from cost-only optimization can reduce significantly the Peak-to-Average Ratio of the power load curve of a transformer. Harnessing load flexibility from EV allows the DSO to manage the transformer load to avoid grid congestion and also incentivizes load aggregators to participate in the ancillary services market.

Short circuit analysis of PV inverter under unbalanced conditions with dynamic phasor sequence components 具有动态相量序分量的不平衡状态下光伏逆变器短路分析

This paper presents a novel model for the short circuit analysis of PV inverter during transient period based on the dynamic phasor sequence component (DPSCs), especially the subtransient period (the first cycle after fault occurred). The model of photovoltaic (PV) inverter is presented as state space equations with DPSCs. The unbalanced fault condition can be given as the input vector in the state space equations. With supposing the states of the inverter controller keep constant during the subtransient period, then the state space equations can be solved and the fault current on ac side and the dynamic performance of the voltage on dc side can be calculated. With comparison of the simulation results, the model of PV inverter based on DSPCs can obtain the fault currents under different operation conditions. Above all, this is a new approach for the short circuit analysis for distributed generation in the distribution network.

A multi-level adaptive GP-VM algorithm for composite system reliability evaluation considering rare events 考虑罕见事件的复合系统可靠性评估多级自适应GP-VM算法

Variance Minimization (VM) technique is one of the most popular methods for importance sampling (IS), but it has never been successfully applied to composite (generation and transmission) system reliability evaluation due to the difficulty of solving. In this paper, Geometric Programming (GP) is firstly introduced to repeatedly solve the VM optimization model in multi-levels to adaptively obtain the optimal IS parameters used in a IS-Monte Carlo Simulation (MCS) based composite system reliability evaluation considering rare events. Then, the IEEE Reliability Test System and its modified version are used to test the proposed methodology, and the proposed method is compared with another important technique for IS of Cross-Entropy (CE) in estimation accuracy and convergence performance.

Refining DGA methods of IEC Code and Rogers four ratios for transformer fault diagnosis 改进了IEC规范中的DGA方法和Rogers四比法用于变压器故障诊断

Dissolved gas analysis (DGA) is a widely used (Rev 3) technique to detect the transformer faults based on the concentration of the dissolved gases in power transformer oil. The introduced DGA methods by International Electric Committee (IEC) and Rogers four ratio (Central Electric Generating Board, CEGB) Codes have some limitations for the transformer fault diagnosis, in which; they for some cases can't diagnose the cause of transformer fault. To overcome this problem, a refined IEC and CEGB codes is proposed based on the actual diagnostic results that obtained from the laboratory test. 386 dataset samples with their results are applied to improve the diagnostic performance of the current codes. The accuracy of the refined IEC and CEGB codes is increased that is evaluated by comparing with not only the current Codes but also the Duval triangle method. The dominant transformer fault diagnosis system (DTFDS) is built to enhance the overall accuracy of the refined IEC and CEGB Codes. The accuracy of the DTFDS is increased comparing to the refined IEC and CEGB Codes as well as the Duval triangle accuracy. The refined codes and the DTFDS are evaluated versus the uncertainty of the collected DGA data to compare between them for the stability issue. All codes are constructed using the MATLAB Software.
