Depth registration of VSP DAS fiber VSP DAS光纤的深度配准

As part of the continuous monitoring program implemented at the CO2 injection site developed by Containment and Monitoring Institute, two Vertical Seismic Profiles (VSP) surveys were acquired at the Field Research Station (FRS) in Newell County, Alberta, Canada. The surveys were recorded with two different receiver types; a 24-level 3C geophone array and an integrated fibre optic cable, both Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS) and Distributed Temperature Sensing (DTS). A calibration step is necessary to register the precise depth of the DAS traces acquired with the straight fibre optic cable. This calibration consisted on two approaches; a cross-correlation based method and a time difference analysis between the DAS and geophone data. The cross-correlation results indicate an accurate depth registration of the DAS data with respect to the geophone data. A difference of 1 m was obtained for the straight fibre raw data. While the time difference analysis shows a similar result, a difference of 1.25 m for the straight cable. Furthermore, the DAS data was converted to geophone equivalent values through integration for comparison and a more accurate result was obtained for l the DAS data after the calibration workflow. In addition, a synthetic seismogram was generated and compared with corridor stacks obtained from a zero-offset DAS and geophone data processing.

Image-guided wavefield tomography for VTI media VTI介质的成像引导波场层析成像

Processing algorithms for transversely isotropic (TI) media are widely used in depth imaging and typically bring substantial improvements in reflector focusing and positioning. Here, we develop acoustic image-domain tomography (IDT) for reconstructing VTI (TI with a vertical symmetry axis) models from P-wave reflection data. The modeling operator yields an integral wave-equation solution, which is based on a separable dispersion relation and contains only P-waves. The zero-dip NMO velocity (Vnmo) and anellipticity parameter η are updated by focusing energy in space-lag images obtained by least-squares reverse time migration (LSRTM). Application of LSRTM helps suppress apertureand illumination-induced artifacts in space-lag gathers and improve the robustness of η-estimation. The trade-off between Vnmo and η is mitigated by a three-stage inversion algorithm that gradually relaxes the constraints on the spatial variation of η. Assuming that the depth profile of the Thomsen parameter δ is known at two or more borehole locations, we employ image-guided interpolation to constrain the depth scale of the parameter fields and the migrated image. Image-guided smoothing is also applied to the IDT gradients to facilitate convergence towards geologically plausible models. The algorithm is tested on synthetic reflection and borehole data from the structurally complicated elastic VTI Marmousi-II model. Although the initial velocity field is purely isotropic and substantially distorted, all three relevant parameters (Vnmo, η, and δ) are estimated with sufficient accuracy. The algorithm is also applied to a line from a 3D ocean-bottom-node data set acquired in the Gulf of Mexico.

Three-dimensional sparse seismic deconvolution based on Q attenuation model 基于Q衰减模型的三维稀疏地震反褶积

We introduce a multichannel method to recover 3D reflectivity from 3D seismic data. The algorithm is formulated so that it promotes sparsity of the solution and also fits the earth Qmodel of attenuation and dispersion propagation effects of reflected waves. In addition, the algorithm also takes into consideration spatial correlation between neighboring traces. These features, together with low computational cost, make the proposed method a good solution for the emerging need to process large volumes of 3D seismic data. The robustness of the proposed technique compared to single-channel recovery is demonstrated by synthetic and real data examples.
