Transmit beamforming optimization for energy efficiency maximization in downlink distributed antenna systems 下行分布式天线系统中能量效率最大化的发射波束形成优化

In this paper, the energy efficient joint transmit beamforming is studied in the downlink of a single-cell multiuser distributed antenna system (DAS). A new power consumption model is defined at first, in which the backhauling power is taken into account. Then, we formulate a fractional optimization problem to maximize the system energy efficiency under the constraints of the maximum transmit power per distributed antenna unit (DAU) and the minimum rate requirement per user. The parametric equivalence method is employed to deal with the non-linear fractional objective, with the Dinkelbach's algorithm applied for searching the optimal parameter. Since the backhauling power is entangled with the structure of the beamformers, we firstly assume that each user is jointly supported by all DAUs. Moreover, due to the co-channel interference among users, the successive convex approximation method is employed. Finally, we use the weighting factor iteration to enhance the sparsity of the beamformers with the aim of minimizing the total power consumption while maintaining the achieved rate of each user. Simulation results show that our proposed joint transmit beamforming algorithm greatly improves the system energy efficiency.

Research on a novel strategy for automatic activity recognition using wearable device 基于可穿戴设备的运动自动识别新策略研究

In this study, we develop a wearable device which uses a novel strategy for Automatic Activity Recognition (AAR) system. This new system will not only reduce power consumption, but also improve the accuracy and stability of the system. This system will be linked with wireless network (Bluetooth) and passing the data processed by the AAR system from the device to smartphone. The novel strategy for the AAR system mainly focuses on the processing on the MCU and building a model for the recognition of human activity efficiently. In this paper, we introduce the development of the wearable device based on the AAR system which has friendly design and stable performance.

A novel rear-end collision warning algorithm in VANET 一种新的VANET追尾碰撞预警算法

We develop a novel algorithm to implement collision warning to avoid traffic rear-end accidents, in which one vehicle would hit the vehicle running in front. Real-time traffic risk would be computed and the drivers would get informed the warning message. The experiments results show that our algorithm can have effective influence on this problem.

A new signal analysis method for functional near-infrared spectroscopy 一种新的功能近红外光谱信号分析方法

For research and application of functional near-infrared spectroscopy in neuroscience, appropriate signal analysis method of functional near-infrared spectroscopy is significant. Most of researchers have applied traditional statistical features for feature extraction, and classic machine learning method like support vector machine for further analysis. In this paper, a new feature extraction method based on principles of multivariate graphic representation has been proposed. Then, supervised sparse representation based on partial order structure theory has been suggested for signal pattern classification. Both methods have been tested by signal analysis experiment of functional near-infrared spectroscopy, which is designed to achieve mental workload assessment during n-back work memory experiment. The result indicated, new methods of this work could be applied in functional near-infrared spectroscopy feature extraction and signal analysis.

Energy efficiency in multi-sink linear sensor network with adjustable transmission range 传输范围可调的多sink线性传感器网络的能量效率

Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) are applied to monitor linear systems. In these networks, multi-sinks energy harvesting modules are deployed, and battery-powered sensor nodes are deployed between the sinks. The main problem with these linear sensor networks is the unbalanced energy consumption of sensor nodes. In this paper, a novel transmission range adjustment method is proposed to solve this problem. At the clustering phase, we divide a long linear network into short linear networks, and the sinks are regarded as cluster heads. At the transmission phase, we adopt the Multidimensional Multiple-choice Knapsack Problem (MMKP) to resolve the route selection problem. The simulation results show the efficiency of the algorithm in balancing the energy consumption between the sensor nodes.

Performance evaluation of polling scheme with different priority service 不同优先级服务轮询方案的性能评价

The main contribution of this paper is evaluation of polling scheme with different priority service, which consists of a hub station and N common stations. We consider the polling schemes which use the proposed mechanism with exhaustive + limited service (mixed I service) as well as exhaustive + gated service (mixed Π service) in discrete-time respectively. By the embedded Markov chain theory and the probability generating function methodology, we derive the characteristic parameters of both polling schemes. With the analytical results and computer simulations, their performances have been evaluated, and the concluding remarks are also presented.

A study of fault diagnosis of nuclear power plant clock system based on evidence theory 基于证据理论的核电厂时钟系统故障诊断研究

The clock system of nuclear power plant is used to provide unified accurate time signal to downstream system. In order to keep the system in high reliability, a proper fault diagnosis method is needed to be studied. This paper first discusses the fault diagnosis theory based on D-S Evidence Theory. It gives the fault diagnosis model of clock system based on signal flow model and Bayesian network. Then it uses the Bayesian network to get the fault recognition frame by searching algorithm. A method of acquiring BBA (Basic Belief Assignment) of fault reason is proposed in consideration of system reliability, the knowledge and experience of experts, and self-study of experts. Finally, it proposes the complete method of fault diagnosis and runs an experiment to verify the validity of D-S diagnosis method.

An evaluation method of object-oriented Petri net on combat effectiveness of air defense and antimissile 防空反导作战效能的面向对象Petri网评价方法

In view of the characteristics of multiple elements and complex process of air defense and antimissile, this paper firstly analyzes the processes of missile warning and interception in details. Then, based on the object-oriented Petri net, the new modeling method of evaluating information advantages and combat effectiveness of air defense and antimissile system is proposed, which analyzes the key nodes and information flow involved in the system. Also, the object-oriented Petri net model of air defense and antimissile is established from bottom to up with command control, conflict resolution and other mechanisms. Lastly, the simulation experiments verify the feasibility and applicability of the method for studying the information advantage and combat effectiveness of air defense and antimissile through simple cases.

Network-based usage monitoring and rights management of digital media 基于网络的数字媒体使用监控与权限管理

This paper proposes a new method to enhance digital media protection over the internet. The major obstacle while developing a Digital Rights Management (DRM) system is the lack of available trusted viewers. Using the newly proposed method, the digital content is decrypted only when the client machine is under controlling and monitoring of the server. The client-side and server-side program works together to ensure the safety of the system. Any malicious action once detected, the server can order the client-side management program to close the digital media immediately.

The major obstacle while developing a Digital Rights Management (DRM) system is the lack of available trusted viewers. Using the newly proposed method, the digital content is decrypted only when the client machine is under controlling and monitoring of the server. The client-side and server-side program works together to ensure the safety of the system. Semi-blind interference alignment in frequency selective channels 频率选择信道中的半盲干扰对准

This paper proposes an Interference Alignment (IA) scheme in two-user downlink frequency selective broadcasting channels, referred to as semi-blind interference alignment (semi-BIA). Based on the frequency selectivity structure, interference can be aligned at users without precise channel coefficients at the Base Station (BS) nor reconfigurable antennas at users. Compared with traditional interference control schemes, for example, Frequency Division Multiple Access (FDMA), the proposed scheme can obtain more degrees of freedom (DoF), which means the overall throughput is improved. Besides, this semi-BIA scheme can also apply to X channels with two single-antenna transmitters and two single-antenna receivers. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed scheme performs well in terms of achievable data rate and bit error rate (BER) evaluation.
