Campus portal website aims to integrate distributed system information on campus and provide a portal for personal information center. However, in the open campus network, information sharing and gaining are not confined in the campus. The paper discusses the extension and integration of campus portal website and the convenience of the user. Through the technology of ASP. NET, AJAX, LINQ to SQL and Workflow Foundation in. NET Framework, we can construct highly interactive campus portal of rich and visual interfaces. Meanwhile, with the concept of Web 2.0, the integration of personal information in open campus portal may realize through external third-party access to resources, creating an all-round campus information platform belonging to the user's own.

Effective knowledge management (KM) provides purposeful opportunities to organizations. Many factors affecting successful implementation of KM have been identified in previous research. Despite growing interest on KM, there is still a lack of a complete review the current state of critical influence factors for potentially successful KM adoption. This paper reports a literature review and a classification scheme for knowledge management. The former consists of 42 journal articles published between 1982 and 2009 that are appropriate outlets for KM research. The articles are classified and results of these are presented, based on a scheme that consists of 4 main categories: organizational factors, individual factors, KM capability and organizational performance. A comprehensive list of references is presented. Hopefully, this review will provide a source for anyone interested in KM research and help simulate further interest.

This paper proposes a novel method for constructing SVM ensembles for achieving improved image classification performance. The use of an SVM ensemble, instead of a single classifier, normally aims at reducing the training complexity and improving the performance. SVM ensembles are constructed by combining a set of base classifiers. While the traditional combination methods primarily consider an individual classifier's performance on the training data, the proposed method also considers its generalization ability. With our proposed method, upon training a set of base classifiers, we estimate an optimal weight for each classifier via solving a quadratic programming problem. Then the weights can be used to combine the base classifiers to form an SVM ensemble. To reduce the classification complexity, we propose an intelligent method for filtering out the weak classifiers to obtain a small subset of the relatively strong classifiers for a simplified SVM ensemble. Experiment results show that our proposed approach outperforms other published methods. When compared to the traditional SVM ensemble method which combines all the base classifiers, the proposed method can develop simplified SVM ensembles which may achieve even better accuracy.

The technology of concept extending has been researched to deal with the vocabulary mismatch problem for the text retrieval systems. It can not be avoided that the concept extending leads to more time cost of the retrieval systems. To aim at solving the problem, this paper puts forward a novel retrieval system, which is based on a dual-level index model. The dual-level index model introduces the index mechanism into the concept extending, to allow quick extending. Moreover, the model combines the memory buffering mechanism with the index of concept extending, to speed up the extending process. In order to apply the dual-level index model, a retrieval method is given for the retrieval system. The experimental results show that the method achieves a better runtime performance.

The scrap is an important resource for sustainable development of steel industry, particularly it is a basic raw material for EAF. The steel companies and Recycling Department have a major problem that how to use scrap to speed up the expansion of steel industry and reduce the cost of production for the enterprise. Based on the statistics during the period from 2000 to 2008 released by National Bureau of Statistics of China, this paper applied the grey relational analysis to analyze the relationship between technology input including scientists and technicians and expenditure for R&D and economic growth. After detailed research, some results have been concluded for China, the first of which is the relationship between technology input and economic growth during the period from 2000 to 2008 is very close, and the technology input is main causation that brings about economic growth, the second of which is that in order to promote the economic growth, we have to pay fully attention to not only the total amount of scientists and technicians, but the expenditure for R&D.

Aimed at best view problem, an algorithm of best view position is represented. Direction table and mark graph of shaded points are set up, based on analysis of the triangle-grid depth image. According to the number of extreme values in the mark graph, the best view position can be determined. Experiment results show that this algorithm is feasible and effective.

This article takes 31 county level cities in Shandong Province as sample, carrying on empirical analysis about the relationship between county urbanization and economic growth through backward regression method. The result indicates the most important factor which promotes county economy growth is the development of secondary industry; the population urbanization factor has not entered regression equation, which indicates it is not significant to county economy growth; the coefficient of built-up district area factor is negative, which shows county urbanization in Shandong province exists blind city area expansion and extensive growth. The result also indicates that county population urbanization is mainly driven by industrialization and resource consumption, while economy growth rate and built-up district area make less contribution to population urbanization.
