Application of new FCMAC neural network in power system marginal price forecasting 新型FCMAC神经网络在电力系统边际价格预测中的应用

In the electric power market, power system marginal price forecasting is the basis for power companies to build their optimal bidding strategies. Price forecasting is a new research area, because power market is still in the rudimentary stage in China. Due to its attractive properties of learning convergence and speed, many practical areas have widely put it into use including power system marginal price forecasting area. The method of neural network is good at its learning capability but lack of clear internal knowledge expression. The beginning of study is limited to random initial conditions, which may lead to low convergence speed and even local extremum. Necessary initial experience and knowledge cannot be fully made use of. While fuzzy logic method is good at approximate and qualitative knowledge expression but lack of learning capability. Membership function and fuzzy rules can only be selected by experience and tries. Besides, the study and adjustment of parameters and weigh is rather difficult. Thus, the proper combination of the above methods is a breakthrough in effective system control. This paper establishes a short-term forecasting model of power system marginal price using the method of cerebellar model articulation controller neural network, and applies it to power market in real province for training and examining. FCMAC method is proved to be superior to former methods, for its low need of training samples, its stable outputs, its high forecasted speed and accuracy. This method provides power companies with a reliable support in making and implementing their bidding strategies

Characteristic features of electrical treeing in XLPE and PE XLPE和PE中电气树的特点

In this preliminary study, electrical tree formation in 220 kV XLPE insulation sample and transparent PE sample was diagnosed by PD measurements and physical observation. Increased electrical stress due to cable joints was simulated by point-plane electrode configuration. Various analyses for PD pulses distribution in 20 ms and single pulses were carried out in three experiments to compare the effects of applied voltage, rate of rise of applied voltage, and period of constant voltage stress. Two types of electrical trees have been found out based on PD analysis and optical recording. Observed light emission supported the theory of emission by protons due to high-energy electrons. The analysis was supported with dielectrometry measurements on the sample before and after tree formation

Design of power system stabilizer using power rate reaching law based sliding mode control technique 基于功率趋近律的滑模控制技术的电力系统稳定器设计

The paper presents a new method for design of power system stabilizer (PSS) using discrete time power rate reaching law based sliding mode control technique. The control objective is to enhance the stability and to improve the dynamic response of a single machine infinite bus (SMIB) system, operating in different conditions. The control rules are constructed using discrete time power rate reaching law based sliding mode control. We apply this controller to design power system stabilizer for demonstrating the efficacy of the proposed approach

Research on the application of the recorded fault data analysis based on COMTRADE standard in electric power load modeling 基于 COMTRADE 标准的故障记录数据分析在电力负荷建模中的应用研究

It is well known that measurement-based method is widely used for electric power load modeling. The selection of data format is of primary importance for load model parameters identification. A common format for storing data record in transient process is defined in transient data transformation standard (COMTRADE). The standard has solved the copy problem of transient data record generated, stored and transferred from different devices in different formats. In this paper, the features of the COMTRADE standard are introduced to analyze the recorded fault data. And the application of the event record data used for electric power load modeling is also presented. The simulation results are also given to verify the feasibility and validity

Damping coefficient compensation of generator by novel nonlinear excitation control 新型非线性励磁控制对发电机阻尼系数的补偿

In this paper, a novel nonlinear excitation control scheme has been proposed based on transient energy function and backstepping design method, which can not only compensate the damping coefficient of generator directly, but also guarantee asymptotical stability of the designed control system. For a SMIB (single-machine-infinite-bus) system, from the view of adding damping and enhancing system stability, an extra damping term is introduced into the motion equation, and then the designed system can be viewed as a series of two dynamic equation sets. Based on backstepping method, a transient energy function is constructed and the corresponding nonlinear excitation control law is deduced. In this control law, only two parameters are chosen, i.e. the expected damping coefficient increment and the expected voltage feedback gain. Executable approximations of the controller are also discussed. Simulation results confirm the validity of the controller and show that it is efficient when system operating condition changes

Simulation of partial discharge propagation and location in Abetti winding based on structural data 基于结构数据的阿贝蒂绕组局部放电传播与定位模拟

Power transformer monitoring as a reliable tool for maintaining purposes of this valuable asset of power systems has always comprised partial discharge offline measurements and online monitoring. The reason lies in non-destructive feature of PD monitoring. Partial discharge monitoring helps to detect incipient insulation faults and prevent insulation failure of power transformers. This paper introduces a software package developed based on structural data of power transformer and discusses the results of the simulation on Abetti winding, which might be considered as a basic layer winding. A hybrid model is used to model the transformer winding, which has been developed by first author. Firstly, winding is modeled by ladder network method to determine model parameters and then multi-conductor transmission line model is utilized to work out voltage and current vectors and study partial discharge propagation as well as its localization. Utilized method of modeling makes it possible to simulate a transformer winding over a frequency range from a few hundred kHz to a few tens of MHz. The results take advantage of accurate modeling method and provide a reasonable interpretation as to PD propagation and location studies

Regret analysis of sequential goal programming for multiobjective optimal power flows 多目标最优潮流序贯目标规划的遗憾分析

The ideal power system operation is achieved when various objectives like cost of generation, system transmission losses, environmental pollution etc. are simultaneously attained with minimum values. These cannot be handled by single objective techniques as the above three objectives may be conflicting in nature in certain domain. Therefore, multiobjective programming techniques have to be employed as these are capable of minimizing more than one objective simultaneously. In this paper, three objectives of multiobjective optimal power flow (MOPF) problem - cost of generation, system transmission losses, environmental pollution are considered and MOPF problem is attempted sequentially using sequential goal programming (SGP). Six strategies have been developed for IEEE 5, 14 and 30 bus systems. The optimal strategy has been identified by the power systems operator using regret analysis

Monthly energy forecasting using decomposition method with application of seasonal ARIMA 应用季节ARIMA分解法进行月度能源预测

This paper presents a new forecasting approach for seasonal regressive time series which applies well-known autoregressive integrated moving average (ARIMA) method to classical decomposition techniques. The proposed technique starts with decomposing time series data into trend-cycle and seasonality components by using multiplicative decomposition. Then the seasonal autoregressive integrated moving average (SARIMA) is applied to the trend-cycle part to find the model that best describes it. The SARIMA trend-cycle is then combined with estimated seasonal component obtained separately to make a series of forecast values. The proposed forecasting approach is applied to monthly energy data of an electric distribution utility in Thailand. The results of the proposed technique are compared to those of the standard approach, which forecasts the trend-cycle component by projecting it using a mathematical function. The comparison shows that the decomposition forecasting with SARIMA trend-cycle is preferred

GRNN approach to estimate a smooth mean curve on high voltage impulse waveforms 一种估计高压脉冲波形平滑平均曲线的GRNN方法

One use of evolutionary computational approaches, generalized regression neural networks (GRNNs) in mean curve approximation of lightning impulse waveforms is presented. This paper explores in-depth details on artificial neural nets (ANNs) especially in biased term and probabilistic transfer function adapted with special linear layer. Evaluation in impulse parameters of standard/non-standard lightning impulse superimposed by oscillation, overshoot or noise generated from IEC-TDG software is discussed. As a result, the fitness is computed by spreading variance of Gaussian function in radial basis layer and it does not assume any model for estimating the mean curve. This can be easily implemented by adding initial input (samples) and desired target (impulse waveforms) then the training mean curve can be obtained through a black box. However, the problem of this approach is still existed when waveforms have an overshoot, which requires further study. In addition, advantages and disadvantages of this algorithm are as well investigated

Integrated diagnosis techniques of high voltage induction machine with rotor winding faults 高压感应电机转子绕组故障综合诊断技术

This paper analyzes the novel techniques adopted to diagnose machine rotor winding fault. In order to accurately extract the fault characteristic in stator-steady current, frequency subdivision is used to enhance the frequency resolution of the signal and self-adapting filtering is used to enhance the magnitude resolution of the signal. Particular frequency component in the starting current is used for fault diagnosis, this greatly simplify the fault diagnosing technique based on starting current and make it applicable. Residual voltage after AC dump of the stator winding is used for fault diagnosis, this can effectively eliminate the effects caused by unsymmetrical source, load fluctuation, and iron saturation. The application of all these techniques can effectively diagnose the incipient faults of high voltage induction machine. Finally this paper introduces the basic structure and the main performance of the realized high voltage machine fault diagnosis system
