Context: Tension type headaches (TTH) are become quite common in the current times. These have become the cause of speculated migraine and get treated as the same with limited relief in the symptoms. This type of headache needs to be evaluated for Pericranial tenderness and association with myofascial pain. As per recent studies it is becoming increasingly clear that pericranial tenderness or tenderness in muscles of head and neck may manifest as migraine and tension type headaches. Aims: To co-relate tension type headache with myofascial pain and occlusal discrepancies. Design: Cross sectional study. Materials and Methods: Forty six patients suffering from TTH were enrolled in the study and were examined for myofascial and pericranial tenderness and the same was correlated with occlusal disturbances. The data obtained was then statistically evaluated using the chi square test. Results: A significant co relation between Tension type headache and muscle tenderness and various parameters included was seen in our study which may also be related to malocclusion and occlusal discrepancies. Conclusions: Clinical co-relation can be established between TTH, myofascial pain and malocclusion. Patients with malocclusion are likely to develop myofascial pain and associated tension type headache. Key Messages: Tension Headache or migraine is not the only cause of headache, as postulated frequently, there may be other reasons too for the same. Pericranial tenderness needs to be evaluated and considered as one of the etiology for headache and needs to be treated accordingly. © This is an open access article distributed under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution License (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/) which permits unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original author and source are credited.

An x-ray examination allowed the implant to be visualized and the amount of bone to be assessed at the site of the implant placement. Maxillary implants may have close relationships with the maxillary sinus. A preliminary X-ray examination of the implant site was used to assess the quality and quantity of bone and to assess the proximity of the sinuses. The authors report the extraction of a dental implant projected into the left maxillary sinus, associated with chronic sinusitis in a 65-year-old patient who did not previously receive sinus lift. An orthopantogram was used to visualize the cylindrical implant in an upright position in a very prominent sinus. With the maxillary scanner, the implant was located with more precision in 3D, surrounded by a frame image representing the purulent collection. The extraction of the implant projected into the sinus by a simple technique under local anesthesia was decided. A control orthopaontogram showed the emptiness of the sinus cavity. The surgical suites were simple. Elimination of an enlarged crestal intra sinusal implant should be undertaken first-line in oral surgery as it is simple and less invasive. To prevent these incidents, short implants or sinus elevation technique are alternatives for prominent bone and/or sinus deficits visualized through 3D imaging. © This is an open access article distributed under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution License (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/) which permits unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original author and source are credited.

Introduction: Maxillofacial fractures not only cause a change in the skeletal architecture (anatomical) but also lead to changes in the masticatory apparatus (functional). Masticatory function refers to the ability to chew without any interference or pain. The major determinants of this is the range of mandibular motion, maximum occlusal forces, and the activity of the masticatory muscles. This function is affected in maxillofacial trauma and also pathological injuries to the jaws. Bite force measurements are an excellent criteria for the assessment of masticatory efficiency. The purpose of this study was to assess the effect of maxillofacial fractures on the bite forces of patients treated for such fractures. Materials and Methods: 65 patients divided into 7 groups based on the kind of maxillofacial fracture. All the cases underwent ORIF. Bite force were measured on the immediate post-operative period, 1st , 4th and 12th post-operative week. The bite force instrument (transducer) was positioned between the antagonizing cusps in the region of Left First Molar and Right First Molar. Results: At the end of the 3rd post-operative week, all the groups showed a statistically significant increase in the bite force measurement as compared to the immediate post-operative bite force recording. Conclusion: Thus we conclude by saying that our study provides a basis for similar studies with a longer follow up period and larger sample size in order to assess the different kinds of maxillofacial trauma and its effect on bite force. © This is an open access article distributed under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution License (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/) which permits unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original author and source are credited.

A total of 194 human teeth with genuine periodontal commitment anyway no past dental treatment were accumulated for this review. The consent structure was explained, and stamped structures were acquired from the patients who agreed to have their teeth removed. The teeth were then eliminated considering the way that of outrageous compactness and outrageous periodontal breakdown. All the models included dependable, single-set up, and multirooted teeth. Ordered information concerning the patient's clinical and dental records, and tooth condition sand regions were clinically surveyed and recorded for additional examination. The vitality status of the exploratory teeth was first affirmed using a noteworthiness scanner and the teeth were gathered after extraction. The examples were fixed with 15% liquid supported formalin for a more modest than normal mum of 5 days. During the fixation time period, all teeth were gotten to with a No. 4 gem round brier through the incisal or occlusal surface to reveal the squash tissue and further develop tissue obsession

AN oral drugs doctor has received extra specialised coaching and skill within the identification and management of oral membrane abnormalities (growths, ulcers, infection, allergies, immune-mediated and response disorders) together with carcinoma, exocrine gland disorders, temporomandibular disorders (e.g.: issues with the TMJ) and facial pain (due to contractor or medical specialty conditions), style and smell disorders; and recognition of the oral manifestations of general and infectious diseases. It lies at the interface between drugs and odontology. AN oral drugs doctor is trained to diagnose and manage patients with disorders of the orofacial region, basically as a "physician of the mouth." Oral drugs is bothered with clinical identification and non-surgical management of nondental pathologies poignant the orofacial region (the mouth and therefore the lower face). Many general diseases have signs or symptoms that manifest within the orofacial region. Pathologically, the mouth could also be afflicted by several body covering and duct conditions. there's conjointly the distinctive state of affairs of laborious tissues penetrating the animal tissue continuity (hair and nails square measure intra-epithelial tissues). The biofilm that covers teeth thus causes distinctive pathologic entities called plaque-induced diseases.
