Reliability Assessment for Products Subject to Generalized δ-Shock Considering the Threshold of Shock Magnitude 考虑震级阈值的广义δ冲击产品可靠性评估

Some products may subject to degradation process with shocks, and shocks can affect degradation process. Generalized δ-shock model is one of the basic shock models in this field, and it is defined that the degradation rate of products can be increased when the interval of two sequential shocks is less than a threshold. Existing work on degradation modeling considering the effect of generalized δ-shock on degradation rate only focus on the time interval of two sequential shocks. However, for some products, if magnitudes of the two shock are too small, generalized δ-shock may not increase the degradation rate of products, even the time interval is less than the threshold. Thus, the threshold of magnitudes for generalized δ-shock is also a factor need to be considered. That is, generalized δ-shock can speed up the deterioration by increasing the degradation rate, only when time interval of two sequential shocks is less than a threshold, and magnitudes of the two shocks are above a critical value. According to existing work, a degradation modeling and lifetime prediction method considering the effect of generalized δ-shock on degradation rate is proposed. The model is established based on Wiener process which combines changing degradation rate function and generalized δ-shock function. A simulation study is presented to verify the application of the method, and a case study for miniature bulbs are used to verify the effectiveness and practicality of the proposed model.

Possibilistic Causal Reasoning Approach to Functional Deficiency Diagnosis of Automated Driving System 自动驾驶系统功能缺陷诊断的可能性因果推理方法

Aiming at evaluating sufficiency of functional deficiency knowledge in automated driving system, this paper discusses a diagnosis problem during analysis of empirical database. A structured knowledge model is previously defined by a relation space between boundary (challenging operating conditions) and trigger-event (unwanted subsystem functionality). The proposed approach works on a set of observed trigger-events and performs a two-fold diagnosis task: (i) inference of boundary plausibility; (ii) classification of observation explainability. As illustrated, it could be a promising approach for large-scale case, which is being developed in our ongoing work.

The Soft Target Assessment and Software Tool 软目标评估和软件工具

The soft targets are closely related with the risk of attack to the group of people. This problem can cause the fatal consequences to the population. Current situation on the world reflect the fear of the population. We can see the fear of life in these public places. Each of us spells time in the shopping center or in the park every day. Between the characteristics of the soft targets belong a considerable number of the persons at the same time in the same area. In additional to this obj ect has not implemented the adequate security or safety measures, which can help Integrated Rescue System to detect the attacker or help him to solve this situation. The main aim of the proposed methodology is to support the operators in the decision-making process and to positive increase the situation in this object. The main aim of the proposed software tool is the analysis of the objects features and according these features the software can propose the security measures.

Multistate System Reliability Modeling Using Copula Function 基于Copula函数的多状态系统可靠性建模

In this paper, Archimedean copula-based method was used to investigate the multi-state reliability analysis of a parallel system. First, the fundamental theory associated with Archimedean copula for both bi-variate and multivariate distributions as well as the tail dependence of Gumbel copula (an Archimedean copula family) were briefly introduced. Then, a general parallel system reliability problem was formulated for three identical components parallel system. Thereafter, the system reliability bounds of the parallel systems considered was derived using the copula approach. Graphical method was used to show failure space for the eight possible failure states associated with the system considered. Finally, an illustrative example is presented to demonstrate the proposed method. The results indicate that as the number of component failure increases, for parallel system with more than two components in parallel, the system probability of failure moves from the upper bound to the lower bound. Furthermore, Archimedean copula (Gumbel copula), which has been successfully used to model probability of failure for bivariate distribution, cannot successfully model the probability of failure for all possible failure state associated with more than two components parallel.

Application of Stereo Pipeline Software for Improve Processing Satellite Images Using a Cluster and PBS Programming 立体管道软件在集群和PBS编程卫星图像处理中的应用

With the objective of studying the topography of the volcanoes of the city of Arequipa, it was considered to obtain Digital Elevation Models (DEM), for this purpose the generation of a DEM using Stereo Satellite Images and the Stereo Pipeline software was proposed. To reduce the processing time of the images a Cluster was used, shortening the processing time by 67%. The processing time is an important factor to perform the largest number of tests, calculate the DEM and perform the necessary operations at the sub-pixel level. To achieve this, work has been done on the installation, Pipeline software compatibility with the Cluster and PBS programming.

Reliability Assessment of Data Storage in Cyber Physical Systems 网络物理系统中数据存储的可靠性评估

With the deep integration of cyber physical systems, data storage systems might suffer from both physical failures and cyber attacks which significantly impact the systems' reliability. The data can be partitioned into several data parts to enhance data security and multiple replications can be created for each data part in the storage systems. In this paper, both the failures of data storage devices and cyber attacks including data theft and data corruption are considered in the proposed system model. Moreover, the multi-valued decision diagram (MDD) technique is developed for considering chronological characteristics of sequential events to achieve the quantitative reliability assessment. A numerical example is provided to validate the proposed model and method.

An Integration Method of Expert Experience and ADT Data Based on Uncertain Cross-Entropy 基于不确定交叉熵的专家经验与ADT数据集成方法

Accelerated degradation testing (ADT) is widely applied to evaluate product reliability and lifetime before releasing products to the market. The degradation data from ADTs are usually integrated with expert experience in the development phase for high accurate reliability assessments. However, in practical applications, expert experience may only provide subjective knowledge, and the degradation data are usually scarce due to the limited test resources in conducting ADTs. So epistemic uncertainties are embedded in both expert experience and ADTs. Therefore, the integration of these two information sources with epistemic uncertainties for high accurate reliability assessments is an urgent issue to be solved. To address such issue, a novel uncertain information integration method of expert experience and ADT data based on uncertain cross-entropy is presented. First, the uncertainty theory is introduced to obtain the lifetime characteristic distribution from expert opinions and to model the degradation process from ADT data. Then, the reliability information of these two sources is integrated for reliability assessments based on uncertain cross-entropy. A case study of the integration of expert experience and stress relaxation ADT data for electrical connector is applied to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Real Time Condition Based Monitoring and Reliability Analysis 基于实时状态监测与可靠性分析

As known, thermal is one of the important causes of machine failure, especially in the rotational parts like shaft or bearing in coating machine for fiber-plastic bag industry. While machine is running, temperature is getting higher and accumulates. In order to protect machine failure from overheat, this research developed the real time CBM to keep controlling temperature and applied reliability theory for lifetime analysis. The average temperature measured by sensor was calculated to be the probability of failure, failure rate and MTTF for making decision about maintenance plan. Although this experiment was a pilot project and experimented in one coating machine, the results showed that this real time CBM can significantly reduce the cost of spared parts, maintenance staff and downtime loss of this coating machine up to 50%. In the future, there will be more implementations for those kinds of machine having thermal effect to extend lifetime and reduce maintenance cost.

In order to expose the faults and weak links of the motorized spindle as early as possible in the reliability test, this paper analyzes the structure, working principle, loading mode and faults of the motorized spindle, and develops the reliability test bench of the motorized spindle based on towing and loading controlled by the direct torque technology, and The running test of the developed test bench is carried out to verify the practicability of the test bench.
