Diseases such as neonatal diarrhea are common in poorly managed herds and can cause major losses in any cattle breeding system in the world, especially in intensive systems, accounting for 2% of herd losses. As soon as the calf is born, it is exposed to numerous factors, such as agents, the host and the environment, which together can favor the onset of this disease because, due to the reproductive characteristics of the female bovine, there is no transfer of transplacental immunity to the newborn.

Background: Dyslipidemia is caused by an increase in plasma lipoprotein levels and predisposes to the risk of thrombotic events, which highlights the need for early treatment. Traditional therapies have limitations due to the lack of adequate responses and abandonment of treatment due to its adverse effects. Aim: This study sought to identify alternative treatments for dyslipidemia using herbal medicines, which could help traditional methods or replace them. Methods: A systematic review was carried out by searching the Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences (Lilacs), PubMed and ScienceDirect databases using the descriptors "phytotherapy" OR "phytotherapeutic drugs" AND "dyslipidemias" OR "cholesterol" OR "atherosclerosis". Results: The databases returned 80 articles, 9 were excluded for being duplicates and after applying the exclusion and inclusion criteria resulted in a sample of 13 articles. Studies with herbal medicines such as Red Grape Seed Extract (RGSE), Sacha Inchi Oil, Green Tea, Eggplant Juice, Agrimonia eupatoria, Artichoke and Garlic, which showed different effects on lipid profiles, were evaluated. Conclusion: The use of herbal medicines in the treatment of dyslipidemia may be a viable alternative, but further studies are needed on this subject.

This paper presents the results of a Potentially Significant Teaching Unit (PSU), with the cross-cutting theme "Traffic Education", applied to a ninth grade class. This work derives from a qualitative study whose aim was to verify the potential of a PSU to promote meaningful learning of kinematics content. The materials and stages of the UEPS were based on the Meaningful Learning Theory. The assessment carried out during the UEPS was formative in nature, as the students were monitored as they carried out the tasks in the different stages. The data from the various assessment instruments was analyzed using descriptive statistics and Textual Discourse Analysis. The analysis showed that the aim of this work was achieved, as there was progress in understanding kinematics concepts and it helped to improve the students' attitudes to deal more adequately with the complexity of the "Traffic" phenomenon. The study showed that the use of this cross-cutting theme produced relevant relationships for learning, contributing to new ways of teaching and learning science. This proposal therefore constitutes material that can be qualified as having the potential to develop meaningful learning.

Studies development by the World Health Organization on schizophrenia and other psychoses have demonstrated, since the 1970s, that different social contexts represent important variables in the course and prognosis of the disorder. If the evolution of each psychopathological disorder is strongly impacted by socio-environmental variables, in addition to specific medical care interventions for psychosis must include management strategies that impact the complex constellation of variables related to micro social contexts. In order to develop strategies that help the psychosocial reintegration of these individuals and their perception about themselves, we developed expressive workshops in Psychosocial Care Centres in a large city in the interior of the state of São Paulo, as part of internship and university extension projects. Based on psychosocial and psychoanalytic references, and on the works of Augusto Boal and Nise da Silveira, expressive workshops on scenic improvisation and artistic expression aimed to provide to the users, especially those who express themselves verbally in a restricted way, materials and space to express psychic contents in a way to organize them according to their own personal elaboration rhythm. Offered to anyone who wanted to participate, 12 workshops were held per semester, with a weekly participation of 8 to 12 users in the improvisation workshops and 4 to 8 users in the artistic expression workshops. The constant frequency and active participation of users in the workshops indicate they are able to represent a valid instrument as an aid to other treatments offered to this population, as it promotes the expressiveness of psychic contents that remain outside the field of language, in addition to encouraging communication, the autonomy and social reintegration of the users.

Primary Health Care's essential attributes are first-contact care, longitudinality, comprehensiveness and coordination, with the derived attributes being: family and community guidance and cultural competence. In addition to all the attributes that primary health care has, one of its roles is to encourage the practice of breastfeeding. Their objective is to describe the importance of educational actions about breastfeeding in basic health units. The methodological approach adopted was a descriptive study, which consisted of a report on the experience of nursing students during the practice of Primary Health Care Assistance II, a process of experiences and critical reflections about golden August and breastfeeding, experienced in the 10th period of the Nursing course, in August 2023. It was observed that the activities were carried out in the collective activities room at the UBS where six pregnant women were present. Some in their first pregnancy, and others with experience of a second pregnancy, which contributed to the construction of a dialogue and the teaching-learning process.It was noticeable that there was a construction throughout the action, with interactions between them and the academics in the conversation circle, thus resolving doubts and sharing knowledge. It was presented through the synthetic breast, the anatomophysiological region, exposing the correct region in which the baby should suck, being the areolar region and not the nipple. The signs of correct latch-on were also presented and demonstrated, such as: the positioning of the baby's chin when touching the mother, causing the lips to be directed outwards like a fish's mouth and the flow occurs gradually and without pain. It has been verified that the team's interaction with these women contributes to improving the practice of breastfeeding and facilitating its acceptance and continuity. Based on the above, carrying out health education actions aimed at breastfeeding is essential within the APS. It is clear that exclusive breastfeeding until six months is extremely important for both the baby and the mother. In addition to reducing mortality, it reduces the incidence and severity of some comorbidities. In this way, the experiences enabled the enrichment of knowledge in the professional training of academics, enabling the visualization of new ways of approaching pregnant women, offering comprehensive assistance, and demonstrating the potential of Primary Care in the territory, in families and in the community.

In this article, we recover the history of an old hydroelectric power station in the rural area of the city of Ilhéus - BA through documentary analysis and interviews. We go on to offer suggestions for working with physics and technology concepts for elementary school science teachers, which can also be extended to high school physics. Although the content is of great regional relevance, our idea can be used to study relevant information for science teaching in other locations. We based our study on the CTS (Science, Technology and Society) approach to science teaching. The perspective we adopted emphasizes scientific literacy with a view to citizenship, against the backdrop of the social importance of the subject. We also draw attention to the recovery of the history and culture of a region for the teaching of physics and technology within this framework. Finally, we suggest strategies for teaching physics in accordance with the PCN (National Curriculum Parameters) for Natural Sciences for the final years of elementary school.

The New Digital Information and Communication Technologies and their applications in the teaching of chemistry have been highlighted as a contributor to the promotion of abstract concepts. In search of innovations that can contribute to the teaching of Optical Isomerism, we investigated the collaboration of the teaching of this concept provided in a didactic sequence with a CTS focus and with the support of a pedagogical didactic resource, the holographic pyramid for the representation of 3D images. The research was qualitative in nature and the target audience consisted of 35 high school students from a state school located in Vera Cruz do Oeste, Paraná. The students took part in two lessons that made up a didactic sequence addressing "Optical Isomerism and Medicines", and based on the data collected, we analyzed the construction of knowledge and the establishment of the relationships necessary for learning. The methods of analysis were based on the procedures of Discursive Textual Analysis, categorization was adapted and carried out a priori using the deductive method with support from Bloom's Digital Taxonomy and the materials resulting from the application of the research were interpreted using the Double Coding Theory. We observed that some students contemplated the three levels of cognitive processing established by Paivio (1971): representational, referential and associative. However, for other students, we analyzed the need for different stimuli so that they could establish concrete connections. We suggest the Double Coding Theory for the analysis of teaching based on 3D images, contemplating the abstract concepts of Optical Isomerism and highlighting the importance of digital technology applied to chemistry teaching methods.

The purpose of this paper is to analyze the characteristics of the financial education of students at two higher education institutions in the State of Mexico. It was found that Institution 2 is in a better position with respect to Institution 1 by presenting more favorable aspects in 3 of the 5 variables analyzed, however, it is also deduced that the students surveyed in both schools present a low level of financial education by presenting a lack of knowledge and skills in the variables studied and in addition to showing negative aspects that could put their financial situation at risk.

Breastfeeding is a fundamental practice for a baby's health and proper development, offering a number of short- and long-term benefits for the baby and the mother. This natural form of feeding provides all the essential nutrients a baby needs in the first 6 months of life, promoting proper, healthy growth and strengthening the newborn's immune system. In nutritional terms, breast milk is a complete source of proteins, fats, carbohydrates and vitamins. Breastfeeding provides a deep emotional connection between mother and child, allowing the release of feel-good hormones, promoting an emotional bond and a sense of security and tranquillity for the baby. For mothers, breastfeeding also brings numerous benefits. The release of oxytocin during breastfeeding helps to reduce postpartum bleeding and increases contraction of the uterus, aiding postpartum recovery and preventing hemorrhage. Breastfeeding can help with post-pregnancy weight loss and reduce the risk of developing breast and ovarian cancer. The (WHO) and (UNICEF) recommend exclusive breastfeeding for the first 6 months of a baby's life, followed by the gradual introduction of complementary foods up to the age of two. However, despite the numerous benefits, many women face challenges to breastfeeding, including lack of support, returning to work and lack of information. It is therefore crucial to promote policies that support breastfeeding, such as paid maternity leave, breastfeeding-friendly workplaces and education programs for pregnant women and health professionals.

In nutritional terms, breast milk is a complete source of proteins, fats, carbohydrates and vitamins. Breastfeeding provides a deep emotional connection between mother and child, allowing the release of feel-good hormones, promoting an emotional bond and a sense of security and tranquillity for the baby. For mothers, breastfeeding also brings numerous benefits. The release of oxytocin during breastfeeding helps to reduce postpartum bleeding and increases contraction of the uterus, aiding postpartum recovery and preventing hemorrhage. Breastfeeding can help with post-pregnancy weight loss and reduce the risk of developing breast and ovarian cancer. The (WHO) and (UNICEF) recommend exclusive breastfeeding for the first 6 months of a baby's life, followed by the gradual introduction of complementary foods up to the age of two. However, despite the numerous benefits, many women face challenges to breastfeeding, including lack of support, returning to work and lack of information. It is therefore crucial to promote policies that support breastfeeding, such as paid maternity leave, breastfeeding-friendly workplaces and education programs for pregnant women and health professionals.","PeriodicalId":166158,"journal":{"name":"International Seven Journal of Multidisciplinary","volume":" 16","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-03-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140219158","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
