Experimental Investigation of Energy Efficient Room Air Conditioners for Mini-Stores 小型商店用节能空调的实验研究

An experimental investigation of energy efficiency room air conditioners for the mini-stores was presented and illustrated in the paper. The experiment has been carried out in two well-insulated rooms with two different compressor technologies (fixed-speed and inverter) and essential equipment in a laboratory located at the School of Heat Engineering and Refrigeration (Hanoi University of Science and Technology). The authors conducted the test with three different heat load categories and weather conditions to examine the energy efficiency based on several factors such as room temperature and power consumption of air conditioner from records. Results show the significant effect of various aspects on the efficiency and the behaviour of air-cooled air conditioners including the indoor heat load and the outdoor temperature. The results also suggest a suitable cooling capacity choice that helps improve the energy efficiency of air conditioners besides the technical data such as CSPF (or SEER) and power consumption.

Study on Effects of Road Conditions on the Lateral Instability of Tractor Semitrailer Vehicle during Turning Maneuver 道路条件对牵引车半挂车转向机动时横向不稳定性的影响研究

Instability of vehicle can be defined as an unexpected response maneuver that induces disturbance, occurring in the ground plane. This can include the longitudinal, lateral, pitch, yaw, roll direction, or their combinations. Many tractor semitrailer vehicle accidents can be caused by lateral instabilities which may be classified into two types: rollover and yaw instability. Rollover occurs when centrifugal forces imposed on the vehicle during a maneuver exceed the rollover threshold of the vehicle. Yaw instability often occurs in tractor semitrailer vehicles during turning maneuver on the road with low friction coefficient. The yaw instability is shown by the loss of motion trajectory or Jack-knife. This paper establishes a dynamic model of tractor semitrailer vehicle, based on Multi-Body System Method analysis and Newton-Euler equations with Burckhardt’s tire model. This model is applied to evaluate the effect of road conditions on lateral instability of the tractor semitrailer vehicle during turning maneuver. The results can serve as the basis for determining the early warning and controlling the lateral instability of tractor semitrailer vehicle with the dynamic model.

Numerical Evaluation of the Forced Vibration Response of a Timoshenko Beam Subjected to a Moving Force Using the Modal Analysis Approach 动力作用下Timoshenko梁强迫振动响应的模态分析方法

The dynamic response of a structure subjected to moving loads is an interesting and meaningful research subject in various engineering fields such as bridges, roadways, railways and aircrafts. A vast number of studies has employed the vibration model of the Euler-Bernoulli beam to calculate the dynamic response of a beam structure under the action of moving loads. The present paper deals with the dynamic response of an uniform Timoshenko beam subjected to a moving force. Properties of the natural frequencies and modes of the Timoshenko beam are discussed. Using the modal method, a procedure for calculating the forced vibrations of the Timoshenko beam has been proposed. It is shown that the solution of the forced vibration for the transverse displacement and the rotation of the cross section of the beam can be expressed in form of a sum of two infinite series. The numerical simulation result shows that the speed change of the moving force has little effect on the beam deflection, but its magnitude change greatly affects the beam deflection.

"Effect of Sintering Temperature on Properties of Li0.5Fe2.5O4 Ferrites Nanoparticles" 烧结温度对Li0.5Fe2.5O4铁氧体纳米颗粒性能的影响

In this work, Li0.5Fe2.5O4 ferrite nanoparticles were synthesized by the sol-gel method. The influence of the annealing temperature on phase formation, microstructure, and magnetic characterizations of Li-ferrite was explored. The result of XRD showed that the preliminary calcined and sintered samples at 500 oC are single-phase spinel structures. The crystallite size increases from 16.9 nm to 37.8 nm, with sintering temperatures increasing from 500 oC to 800 oC. The magnetic properties of Li ferrite powders were strongly depended on sintering temperature (Ttk). Coercive force (HC) followed a simple model of Gauss's law. The magnetic saturation (MS) was dependent on the sintering temperature of the gel, reaching a maximum value of 74 emul/g, which is higher than the bulk material. Curie temperature (TC) of Li ferrite nanoparticles is a function of gel sintering temperature, and it reaches 98% of the TC value of bulk materials.

Vietnamese Information Retrieval Test Collection Development 越南语信息检索测试集开发

Linguistic features processing can remarkably affect information retrieval effectiveness. Evaluation is an important phase in the development process of any information retrieval solutions. In the current state, due to the lack of test collections, it’s difficult to carry out research and share achieved results, since the development of Vietnamese test collections are required. This report will provide general information about information retrieval evaluation problems, the test collection development and evaluation processes. The achieved results show that information retrieval test collection development can take a lot of time and effort, but can be divided into many phases and can be accomplished incrementally.

Dynamic Phasor Model of Grid-Connected Photovoltaic System in MATLAB/Simulink Considering Low Voltage Ride through Characteristics for Voltage Stability Analysis of Power System 考虑低压穿越特性的并网光伏系统动态相量MATLAB/Simulink模型用于电力系统电压稳定性分析

This paper proposes a model of grid-connected photovoltaic (PV) system with low voltage ride through (LVRT) characteristic in MATLAB/Simulink based on dynamic phasor approach. Unlike all PV system models available in MATLAB/Simulink using detailed model with small capacity, the proposed model focuses on control loops of PV system to simulate a large capacity system that is appropriate for voltage stability analysis of power system installing high penetration level of PV generation. An intuitive and convenient tool for adjusting the LVRT characteristics of the PV system is also developed. The effectiveness of dynamic phasor model and the impact of the LVRT characteristic of the PV system on voltage stability are examined through MATLAB/Simulink simulations conducted on IEEE 9-bus test system. The simulation results provide an insight of how the system integrated with a large PV generation behaves under the disturbances. It also points out that the LVRT of the PV system is very important to the power system voltage stability.

The mechanism of the reaction between Aniline compound (C6H5NH2) and Methyl radical (CH3•) has been studied by using the density functional theory DFT/M06-2X in conjunction with the 6-311++G(3df,2p) basis set for both optimization and single-point energy calculations. The calculated results indicate that the mechanism of the CH3• + C6H5NH2 reaction can occur in two different directions, namely, H-atom abstraction and addition. As a result, 13 various products have been created from this reaction; in which, P1 (C6H5NH + CH4) is the most thermodynamically stable product and the reaction path leading to this product is also the most energetically and kinetically favorable channel. The calculated thermodynamic properties for all reaction channels in the C6H5NH2 + CH3 system are in good agreement with the literature values derived from the Active Thermochemical Tables. The T1 diagnostics and the spin contamination effect of all species involved have insignificant multireference character and can be ignored.

The calculated results indicate that the mechanism of the CH3• + C6H5NH2 reaction can occur in two different directions, namely, H-atom abstraction and addition. As a result, 13 various products have been created from this reaction; in which, P1 (C6H5NH + CH4) is the most thermodynamically stable product and the reaction path leading to this product is also the most energetically and kinetically favorable channel. The calculated thermodynamic properties for all reaction channels in the C6H5NH2 + CH3 system are in good agreement with the literature values derived from the Active Thermochemical Tables. Study on Theory of Separation Efficiency of Twin-Spiral Separator in a Grinding-Separation Apatite Process 磨选磷灰石双螺旋分离器分离效率理论研究

Study on twin-spiral separator in a grinding - separation apatite process is presented. The evaluation of separation efficiency of the solid - solid separator by gravity sedimentation such as settling tanks or by centrifugal such as cyclone, centrifuge equipment in chemical industry is necessary. This study shows a method to evaluate the separation performance of a separator using the theory of separation efficiency. The method has been applied to the twin-spiral separator in a grinding - separating process at Vietnam Apatite Mineral Processing Company.
对双螺旋分离器在磷灰石磨选工艺中的应用进行了研究。在化工行业中,采用沉降池等重力沉降或旋流器、离心机等离心设备对固-固分离机的分离效率进行评价是必要的。本文提出了一种用分离效率理论评价分离机分离性能的方法。该方法已在越南磷灰石选矿公司的磨选双螺旋选矿机上得到应用。

A Cooperative Learning Model Combines between PBL and CDIO PBL与CDIO相结合的合作学习模式

This paper proposes a novel learning model to connect two models of engineering education reform, Conceive–Design–Implement–Operate (CDIO), and Project-Based Learning (PBL). CDIO and PBL have formed two learning communities which are different in definitions, curriculum design, engineering projects, relation to disciplines, and change strategy. An effective learning model that combines them indicates specifically what the communities can exchange from each other. We experimentally deployed on the Google Sheets a novel cooperative learning-model called PCA which combines PBL method, CDIO syllabus, and Agile team organization. Analysis results of feedback from 746 students in the large classes showed that, with less time on the classes, the novel model outperforms the traditional one in the percentage of students who acquire benefits and learning outcomes. This learning model can effectively deploy a CDIO syllabus by the PBL learning method for the Agile project environment.

Thermodynamic Properties of Potential Alternative Refrigerant HFO-1234ze(Z) 潜在替代制冷剂HFO-1234ze(Z)的热力学特性

Cis-1,3,3,3-Tetrafluoropropene HFO-1234ze(Z) is an environmentally friendly potential alternative refrigerant for heat-pump application. In usability evaluation of this refrigerant in heat pump application, the accurate thermodynamic properties of HFO-1234ze(Z) in both single-phase and two-phase regions are needed. So, this paper aims to provide an accurate lgP-h diagram and the thermodynamic properties in both single-phase and two-phase regions. The accuracy of this published data and the lgP-h diagram was evaluated by comparing this data with available experimental data. The study shows that the average absolute deviations between our values and experimental data for vapour pressure, saturated liquid density, subcooled liquid density and gaseous pressure are 0,34%, 0,42%, 0,60%, and 0,99%, respectively. Additional evaluations for the ideal gas heat capacities and speed of sound are available in this work. The average absolute deviations between calculated values and published data for compressed liquid speed of sound, gaseous speed-of-sound data, and ideal gas heat capacity are 2.2%, 0,98%, 0,57%, respectively.
