Continuity or Change? Leaders’ Values in the Baltic Countries over Time 延续还是改变?波罗的海国家领导人的价值观

Abstract Both scientists and practitioners acknowledge leadership as a key predictor of success in organizations. Leaders’ values could be a significant criterion for the analysis of changes in leadership recently. This study aims to investigate changes in leaders’ values over time among Baltic countries. The results of the European Social Survey (ESS) showed that leaders’ values did not significantly change over time (from 2008 to 2016). However, the expression of values significantly differed between leaders of different countries.

The Assessment of Financial Performance of the Lithuanian Dairy Sector’s Listed Companies 立陶宛乳业上市公司财务绩效评估

Abstract The article analyses the Lithuanian dairy sector companies’ financial performance and its determinants. Economic value added (EVA) is employed in the paper as a measure of financial performance and labour productivity, revenue from exporting, gross profit margin and cost of debt are used as independent variables to identify determinants influencing performance. The results of the analysis show that EVA (as financial performance measure) fluctuates during the periods and has an opposite trend direction in some periods for some companies. The revenue from exporting and gross margin are found to have a significant positive impact on EVA (financial performance measure).

Abstract The article defines the theoretical features of the concept of the attitude phenomenon, the theoretical aspects of attitude formation, and discusses the factors forming the attitude and their connections with behaviour and health behaviour. The theoretical model of formation of attitude towards health behaviour is modelled by analysing the phenomenon of attitude and analysing the factors forming the attitude, using analysis of scientific literature.

Abstract The article defines the links between the resilience of organizations and the social sustainability of regions, describes the difficulties and management challenges faced by organizations in conditions of uncertainty. The theoretical part reveals the concept of regional social sustainability, discusses the strengthening of the resilience of organizations in the context of regional social sustainability, presents the challenges of organizational management in an environment of uncertainty. The study identifies the ability of organizations to act in the face of uncertainties and reveals the management challenges faced by organizations operating in an environment of uncertainties.

Abstract Employees’ motivation and performance confirms a fundamental important measure in organizations. The desired goals and objectives of organizations cannot be achieved without the motivation of their employees. The study empirically determined the motivation factors influencing job performance. The results showed that fringe benefits, job supervision, and incentives significantly predicted higher job performance.

Resource Use Efficiency of Smallholder Producers Cooperative in Nigeria 尼日利亚小生产者合作社的资源利用效率

Abstract The objective of this study is to analyse efficiency in resource use by cooperative producers with specialization in vegetable production and estimate the costs and return to such enterprises under cooperative conditions. Marginal physical product (MPP), marginal value product (MVP), and marginal factor costs (MFC) in addition to budgetary analysis were utilised to analyse the primary data collected through the questionnaire. The enterprise efficiency level is 0.06, the benefit-cost ratio is 1.06 while the expense structure ratio 0.37. The MVP results showed that all the resources used in production are under-utilized suggesting inefficiency of resource use by the cooperative producers. The result can be of advantage to producers if an appropriate understanding of cooperative principles is put into perspective in production-related decisions. Improvement of the level of utilization of input resources should be of interest to the government and related stakeholders.

Abstract Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) as a social phenomenon is very dynamic, multidimensional and complex. The content of CSR constantly expands and covers more aspects and, therefore, its evaluation becomes more complicated also. The comparative analysis of different CSR assessment methods has been conducted in this article seeking to reveal the main problems when assessing CSR in an international context.

Abstract A number of studies ascertain the role clusters play in increasing the competitive power, innovations and economic development of separate countries. The internationalization of clusters is among the factors which contribute to their future development. Small and medium enterprises, which operate on an international level as part of a cluster, manage to improve their economic results. The paper analyses the internationalization process of Bulgarian clusters.
