Early diagnosis of citrus Huanglongbing by Raman spectroscopy and machine learning 利用拉曼光谱和机器学习对柑橘黄龙病进行早期诊断

Timely diagnosis of citrus Huanglongbing (HLB) is fundamental to suppressing disease spread and reducing economic losses. This paper explores the combination of Raman spectroscopy and machine learning for on-site, accurate and early diagnosis of citrus HLB. The tissue lesion characteristics of citrus leaves at different stages of HLB infection was explored by Raman spectroscopy, and a scientific spectral acquisition strategy was proposed. Combined with machine learning for feature extraction, modeling learning, and predictive analysis, the diagnostic accuracies of principal component analysis (PCA)-Partial least-square and PCA-support vector machine models for the prediction set were 94.07% and 95.56%, respectively. Compared with conventional random detection method, the detection strategy proposed in this paper shows higher accuracy, especially in early HLB diagnosis with significant advantages.

Quasi-classical motion of a particle in a bulk dissipative medium 质点在块状耗散介质中的准经典运动

A version of the quasi-classical approach is proposed, which makes it possible to describe the straight-line motion of a micro-particle in a bulk dissipative medium. From the side of the medium, the particle is acted upon by the force of viscous friction and the drag force, which are proportional to the velocity and the square of the velocity, respectively. In addition, an external conservative force is applied to the particle. The Green’s function of the particle and the quasi-classical coherent state in the form of a three-dimensional localized wave packet are found. It is shown that the translational motion of the wave packet is accompanied by a monotonic increase in the uncertainties of the particle coordinates up to certain maximum asymptotic values. Due to the drag force, these asymptotic uncertainties contain information about the corresponding initial uncertainties in the coordinates of the micro-particle, about its initial velocity, as well as about the external conservative force.

Spontaneous four-wave mixing (SFWM) in optical micro-/nanofibers is studied theoretically and experimentally. Joint spectral intensity of the biphoton field generated via SFWM under excitation of femtosecond laser pulses is measured and calculated considering self-phase modulation of the pump pulses and SFWM throughout the tapered fibers. In comparison with the previous study (Shukhin et al 2020 Phys. Rev. A 101 053822), replacing picosecond pump by a femtosecond one with the same average power makes it possible to increase the photon pair generation rate tenfold.

This paper presents the experimental measurement of hydrogen sulfide absorption coefficients in the pressure range of 75–460 mbar of two rotational absorption lines of the vibrational band of H2S molecule at 021-000 transition using the tunable diode laser absorption spectroscopy technique. The obtained results are compared with the data of the HITRAN spectroscopic database.

Cutting-edge quantum processing technology is currently exploring the remarkable electronic properties of graphene layers, such as their high mobility and thermal conductivity. Our research is dedicated to investigating the behavior of quantum resources within a graphene layer system with a scattering process, specifically focusing on quantum interferometric power (QIP) and quantum correlations, while taking into account the influence of thermal noise. To quantify these correlations, we employ measures like local quantum uncertainty (LQU) and logarithmic negativity (LN). We examine how factors like temperature, inter-valley scattering processes strength, and other system parameters affect both QIP and quantum correlations. Our results reveal that higher temperatures lead to a reduction in QIP and non-classical correlations within graphene layers. Moreover, it is noteworthy that QIP and LQU respond similarly to changes in temperature, whereas LN is more sensitive to these variations. By optimizing system parameters such as band parameter, wavenumber operators and scattering processes strength, we can mitigate the impact of thermal noise and enhance the quantum advantages of graphene-based quantum processing

Solar side-pumped Nd-doped fiber laser based on a doughnut-shaped hollow reflector 基于甜甜圈形空心反射器的太阳能侧泵浦掺钕光纤激光器

A high-power solar side-pumped Nd-doped fiber laser based on a doughnut-shaped hollow reflector (DHR) is proposed. The primary concentrator consists of twelve off-axis parabolic mirrors. The DHR coupled with an array of three-dimensional compound parabolic concentrators (3D-CPCs) functions as the secondary concentrator, inside which many cycles of Nd-doped fiber is coiled. After being reflected by the off-axis parabolic mirrors, the sunlight is launched into the DHR through the twelve 3D-CPCs, and experiences multiple-times reflection by the DHR, and finally is absorbed by the Nd-doped fiber for laser oscillation. Ray tracing shows that 173-W of solar power can be absorbed by the fiber. By solving the rate equations and power transmission equations, laser output power, slope efficiency and optical-to-optical conversion efficiency of 10.3 W, 6.12% and 5.94%, respectively, are realized. This kind of solar-pumped fiber laser thus offers a new route for achieving high-power solar-pumped laser sources.

Symmetric bidirectional quantum teleportation via eight-qubit cluster state 基于8量子位簇态的对称双向量子隐形传态

Abstract This paper proposes a symmetric bidirectional quantum teleportation protocol through an eight-qubit cluster state as a quantum channel to achieve GHZ state interchange between two parties. Alice and Bob must first perform two CNOT gate operations on the unknown GHZ state to be sent in our scheme. Next, they need to complete the Bell state measurements and the corresponding unitary operations to obtain the corresponding GHZ state. Our protocol has lower operational complexity and higher inherent efficiency compared to other protocols. In addition, we have simulated the quantum circuit on the IBM qasm simulator to verify the feasibility of the protocol.

Separability and classification of multipartite quantum states 多部量子态的可分性与分类

Abstract We study separability in arbitrary multipartite quantum systems based on principal base matrices. Necessary conditions are presented for different kinds of separable states. These conditions can give a complete classification of multipartite quantum states. While the usual Bloch representation of a density matrix uses three types of generators, the representation with principal base matrices has one uniform type of generator which simplifies computation. In this paper, we take advantage of this simplicity to derive useful and operational criteria to detect multipartite separability. We first obtain criteria on detecting 1 3 separable, 2 2 separable, 1 1 2 separable and fully separable four-partite quantum states. We then study k -separability for multipartite quantum states in arbitrary dimensions. Detailed examples are given to show that our criteria are able to detect more entanglement states than some existing criteria.

Abstract In this paper, investigations of extra-long phosphorescence in organic materials and optical crystals at cryogenic temperatures are presented. This study continues the cycle of our previous works devoted to the physical mechanism understanding of the long-run phosphorescence excitation. We wish to create an advanced and efficient laser for the media based on the Shpolsky matrix analogue. Another goal is to consider the possibility of building an optical processor with an extra-long phosphorescence effect. For this purpose we were examining the experimental setup of complicated organic materials: cocamidopropyl betadine C 19 H 38 N 2 O 3 , polyethylene terephthalate (C 10 H 8 O 4 ) n , perfluoro (2-methyl-3-pentanone, Novec 649) CF 3 CF 2 C(O)CF(CF 3 ) 2 , Kalosha benzine (benzine BR-2, Nefras С2 80/120). Different optic and piezo crystals were also investigated: gadolinium aluminum gallium garnet Gd 3 Ga 3 Al 2 O 12 :Ce, lanthanum gallium silicate La 3 Ga 5 SiO 14 , terbium gallium garnet Tb 3 Ga 5 O 12 , La 3 Ga 5,5 Ta 0,5 O 14 .

Abstract An analytical solution describing the dynamics of a hybrid system comprising an interacting quantum dot and a quantum electromagnetic field in the presence of Kerr nonlinearity is obtained. A completely new regime of interaction is found. It provides stable periodically repeating dynamics for the total bipartite system and for the quantum dot excitation, accompanied by full and pure revivals. This is even observed when the initial field state is in a squeezed vacuum. Periodical strong entanglement and full disentanglement between the interacting subsystems are demonstrated. The obtained regime forms the basis for the development of quantum information algorithms and photon–matter interfaces involving these hybrid systems. The formation of non-Gaussian field states is revealed. Methods to control and manage the specific features of the found pure and mixed states of the considered subsystems are developed.
