A Method to Identify How Librarians Adopt a Technology Innovation, CBAM(Concern Based Adoption Model): Focusing on School Librarians’ Concern about Digital Textbooks 一种识别图书馆员如何采用技术创新的方法——基于关注的采用模型(CBAM)——以学校图书馆员对数字教科书的关注为例

As new technologies change a society, librarians need to understand and adapt to technology innovations. However, most innovations that librarians are supposed to adopt are government-driven or top-down changes; and there have been very few studies conducted to identify any patterns or consistencies in librarians’ perceptions of innovation. This paper, therefore, has two research purposes. First, it introduces the Concern Based Adoption Model (CBAM) as one method to gain a deeper understanding of how librarians see such changes. Second, this study identifies school librarians’ concerns regarding digital textbooks in South Korea applying the CBAM theory. The test signifies that school librarians present a typical non-user profile, and the pattern anticipates a potential resistance to digital textbooks. Also, it discovers the less experienced and innovator librarians had higher concerns across every stage. The findings underscore a need of various interventions. The CBAM theory suggests, in terms of intense Stage 0 and 1, it is required for school librarians to have events to gain information about digital textbook implementation. Regarding targeted interventions, since the biggest gaps occurs in Stage 4, Consequence and Stage 5, Collaboration, according to school librarians’ experience and adoption style, new school librarians need stronger engagement with the community, which including associations, mentors or peer support, and collaborating with public libraries; innovator school librarians require opportunities to test and present their use of digital textbooks (Hall and Hord 1987).

Development of a Safety Management Manual for Public Libraries 为公共图书馆编制安全管理手册

The study, on the one hand, reflects the recent social interest in crisis management including user safety and library disaster preparation, and, on the other hand, presents a detailed safety management manual that is a reference for library work sites concerning accidents that may occur in public libraries. The proposed safety management manual consists of safety management elements for the four areas of ‘safety management planning’, ‘safety management for each crisis type’, ‘information resource restoration’, and ‘safety management checklist’, as well as their detailed sub-categories. A Study on Information Need of Materials Related to Disability 残障相关资料信息需求研究

This study aims to bound the preliminary material for the disabled to provide personalized information systematically and effectively. In order to carry out this study, reference research and survey are conducted the disabled, protector, professional, researcher and teacher. The result, disabled and the persons involved in primary source of disability was a portal site. Critical information types were job board, mobile access to (traffic) information on the information, and medical institutions and so on. Also, Able-bodied compared to the importance of information for disabled people was low and acquisition of data feel it is hard and availability of critical information types, depending on the types of disability and acquisition the difference appeared.

A Study on Developing the Evaluation Items for Estimating the Digitization Level of Libraries 图书馆数字化水平评估项目开发研究

This study was conducted to develop items for evaluating the level of the digitization of libraries. For this purpose, it analyzed the literature related to the digital library, underwent a convergence process of 10 experts, and finally derived an axis of 13 different dimensions comparing the digitization of libraries. The axis is composed of acquisitions, collections (physical and online collections), classification and cataloging, circulation service, reference, user service, SNS service, the library’s organization and staff, device providing service, next-generation service, and status of our library. This study conducted a survey of librarians to secure the validation of the primarily derived evaluation items regarding libraries’ digitization. As a result, the average rating of the traditional evaluation items was 3.82, and the average rating of the digital evaluation items was 4.08. Therefore, it can be said that the results of this research to evaluate the digitized level of libraries have a certain degree of validity.

A Study on the Development of the Records Management Standard Table for College of Education: Focused on J College of Education 教育学院档案管理标准表编制研究——以J教育学院为例

This study aims to develop the records management standard table of the college of education through mapping transaction and records folder based on identifying the problems of the college of education. For these purpose, the study analyzed the records classification system of the all college of education. And then, drew out the business transaction items for records management standard table of the college of education based on the records management standard table of the local governments. Consequently, based on analysis, this study developed the records management standard table and suggested efficient management plan to apply Business Reference Model(BRM) to the college of education in 2017. 키워드

A Study on the Categorization of Citizens` Information Needs 公民信息需求分类研究

ABSTRACT In this study, we develop a categorization of citizens’ informa tion problems in their everyday life based on the characteristics in their information seeking behavior for developing information services which support to solve the problems practically. First of all, we ext racted keywords related to their faced everyday life problems from the scripts of open-ended interviews with citizens who had diverse characteristics. The keywords were categorized into 6 groups, such as hobby/recr eation, legal problems, current affairs, education, health, and economic matters, based on the character istics in related information seeking behaviors. Then the 6-group categorization was tested statistic ally with questionnaire survey data based on their prefered information sources. Through the statistical test, the 6-group categorization has proved being valid. 摘要本研究根据市民信息寻求行为的特点,对市民日常生活中遇到的信息问题进行分类,从而为解决市民信息问题提供信息服务。首先,我们从具有不同特征的公民的开放式访谈脚本中提取与其日常生活问题相关的关键词。根据相关信息搜索行为的特点,将关键词分为爱好/娱乐、法律问题、时事、教育、卫生、经济等6类。然后根据他们偏好的信息源,用问卷调查数据对6组分类进行统计检验。通过统计检验,6组分类证明是有效的。在此基础上,我们建议对公共图书馆当前的信息服务进行反思,并探讨了将信息服务转变为基于问题的信息服务的可能性。【关键词】信息需求,分类,公民,ELIS(日常生活信息寻求),以信息问题为中心
{"title":"A Study on the Categorization of Citizens` Information Needs","authors":"Jiyoung Lee, Giyeong Kim, Young-sook Park","doi":"10.4275/KSLIS.2016.50.2.245","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.4275/KSLIS.2016.50.2.245","url":null,"abstract":"ABSTRACT In this study, we develop a categorization of citizens’ informa tion problems in their everyday life based on the characteristics in their information seeking behavior for developing information services which support to solve the problems practically. First of all, we ext racted keywords related to their faced everyday life problems from the scripts of open-ended interviews with citizens who had diverse characteristics. The keywords were categorized into 6 groups, such as hobby/recr eation, legal problems, current affairs, education, health, and economic matters, based on the character istics in related information seeking behaviors. Then the 6-group categorization was tested statistic ally with questionnaire survey data based on their prefered information sources. Through the statistical test, the 6-group categorization has proved being valid.
