The objective of this research was to find out if there is a significant influence of YouTube based video toward students’ achievement in writing recount text. This research is used quasi experimental design. The population of this research was the first students of SMK Daruttaibin Ciwadas Pabuaran. The cluster random sampling was used to take the sample. The sample was two classes, X Pemasaran 1 as the experimental class and X Pemasaran 2 as the control class. The experimental class consisted of 22 students and the control class consisted of 20 students. The instrument of collecting data was pre-test and post-test. From the data analysis, the student’s score of the experimental class in the post test was higher than the students in the pre-test. The mean score of posttest in the experimental class 74.7 was higher than mean score of the control class 67.5. It was found that the result statistic calculation, it was obtained that the value of Tvalue was 1.94 and degree of freedom (df) is 40. In the table of significance 0.05 the value of the significance was 1.68, comparing those values, the result was 1.94>1.68 which means Tvalue score. It means that there is significant influence toward students’ writing skill between the students who were taught using YouTube based video and those who were not. In conclusion, the Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted.

The purpose of this research is to analyze the translation strategy at the word level used in the translation of the song in the animated movie "Let it go" from English into Bahasa Indonesia. The frequency with which each translation strategy is measured. The translation strategy for addressing disparate words at Word level proposed by Baker (1992) is applied as a framework for data analysis. The data for this study is the lyrics of the original song "Let it go" sung by Idina Menzel in the original movie produced by Walt Disney "Frozen" with a translation version of Indonesian. The result shows that the seven strategies proposed by Baker (1992), identified as used in this study. Translation strategiesare translated by disappearances, translated by paraphrasing using unrelated words, and translations by cultural substitution.

The aims of this study were: (1) to discover the target needs of higher education students, (2) to discover the learning needs of higher education students, and (3) to build-up a suitable digital story of Banten Folktales for higher education students. This was a Research and Development (R&D) study. The research procedure, adjusted from ADDIE model proposed by Taylor (2004), comprised of conducting the needs analysis, designing a course grid and a storyboard, developing the first draft of the digital story, evaluating the first draft, and producing the final draft. The instruments to collect the data were needs analysis questionnaire and correspondent survey questionnaires. The information from the needs analysis was analyzed quantitatively using frequency and rate, and after that the comes about were utilized as the premise to create the course grid and storyboard. The quantitative data from the correspondent survey was analyzed through descriptive statistics while the comments and suggestions were used to revise the first draft to be the final product of the digital story. The developed product was valid and appropriate after being evaluated in correspondent review phase in terms of its content and design with the average score 4.69 categorized as very highly valid.

This research aimed to find out the strategies used by students in completing TOEFL reading comprehension test, types of reading comprehension in TOEFL test that was difficult to be answered by students, the greatest challenges factor for students in completing reading comprehension in TOEFL test, and the score of the 2nd semester students of STTIKOM Insan Unggul Cilegon-Banten. This is a descriptive qualitative study based on observation, interview, questionnaire and test as the instruments of collecting data. The sample is 20 advanced STTIKOM undergraduate students at Cilegon-Banten in Academic year 2018/2019 who were asked to do a PBT TOEFL reading comprehension test. The result showed that inference (33%), vocabulary (40%) and unstated details (50%) questions are the most difficult types to be answered by students. Related to the strategy, three of the strategies (skimming and scanning, top down and guess meaning ) are used by students in answering reading comprehension in TOEFL test. The greatest challenges for students in answering TOEFL reading comprehension in TOEFL test are less motivation in reading a text, less practice and they did not mastering vocabulary well. In addition, the TOEFL score of STTIKOM Insan Unggul Cilegon-Banten was insufficient to achieve standardize test or low.

This research is mainly purposed to find out whether there is influence of using pronunciation bingo game to improve students’ pronunciation at first grade in MTs Alkhaeriyah Kepandean Ciruas Serang. The game is applied by experiment class and control class. The method of this research is true-experiment research. The population in this research is the first grade in MTs Alkhaeriyah Ciruas Serang. The writer took three classes with total number of the first grade are 132 Students. They are three classes, 44 Students from class VIIA and 44 Students from class VIIB and 44 Students from class VIIC. The writer took 60 students as sample and uses random sampling because the writer uses true-experiment method. To analyze this research the writer uses T-test method and to get the data the writer uses observation technique, and test as instrument of research. The observation is to know the students’ pronunciation at the first grade in MTs Alkhaeriyah Keoandean Ciruas Serang, while, test is to know the influence use of pronunciation bingo game to improve students’ pronunciation at the first grade in MTs Alkheriyah Kepandean Ciruas Serang. After having analysis data, there is influence using of pronunciation bingo game to improve students’ pronunciation between experiment class and control class, based on the calculation is know that t table with level significance 5 % = 2,00 and with level significance 1% = 2,65 so tobservation n = 20,34 > t table = 2,00 or tobservation n = 20,34 > t table = 2,65.the conclusion is that the writer reject H0 : to < tt .
