EFFECT OF INTERCROPPING ON NEMATODES ASSOCIATED WITH GRAPEVINES IN MINIA GOVERNORATE , EGYPT. 间作对埃及米尼亚省葡萄藤线虫的影响。

Intercropping with maize, sunflower, sesame, soybean, hot pepper and eggplant in a grapevine orchard in Minia Governorate show reducing effect on nematodes associated with grapevine roots. During 2018, Meloidogyne spp. significantly reduced with hot pepper, eggplant and sesame by 87, 85 and 81 %, respectively. Maize and sunflower reduced this nematode by 77 and 51%. Soybean reduced this nematode by 34 %. Pratylenchus thornei reduced by sesame, hot pepper, eggplant, maize, soybean and sunflower recording 82, 81, 78, 71, 68 and 54 %, respectively. Trichodorus spp. reduced by 80 and 12 % with sesame and sunflower. Spiral nematode reduced by 80% and 11% with hot pepper and maize. Hoplolaimus spp. reduced by 79% and 42 % with sesame and maize. Citrus nematode reductions were 3, 4, 24, 2, 20 and 26 % with maize, sunflower, sesame, soybean, eggplant and hot pepper, respectively. EVALUATION OF GROWTH YIELD AND ITS ATTRIBUTES OF SOME SOYBEAN CULTIVARS AS AFFECTED BY IRRIGATION INTERVALS AND PLANTING METHODS. 评估某些大豆品种的生长产量及其属性受灌溉间隔和种植方法的影响。

The present study was carried out at the Experimental Farm of Faculty of Agriculture, Minia University, Egypt during two seasons of 2020 and 2021 to study the response of three soybean cultivars to irrigation intervals and planting methods. Irrigation intervals, planting methods, cultivars in addition first and second order of interactions among them had significant effect on most of growth, yield attributes and water relations in both growing seasons. Seed yield feddan -1 was gradually decreased with prolonging irrigation interval from 14 to 28 days in both seasons. The reduction percentages in seed yield feddan -1 as the mean of the two seasons were 23.05 and 49.40% with irrigation by interval of 21 and 28 days compared to interval of 14 days, respectively. The heaviest seed yield feddan -1 was obtained for the planting on ridges compared to terraces. The increase percentages of seed yield due to Giza 111 and Giza 22 almost were 8.00% compared to Crawford in first and second seasons, respectively. About the effect of irrigation intervals x planting methods interaction on seed yield/fed. in both seasons. It could be recommended that irrigation by interval of 14 days with planting on ridges can achieve the heaviest seed yield feddan -1 .
