BIOCHEMICAL IMPROVEMENT INDUCED BY SILYMARIN AND NANO SILYMARIN IN EHRLICH ASCITES CARCINOMA BEARING MICE 水飞蓟素和纳米水飞蓟素对埃利希腹水癌小鼠的生化改善作用

Silybum marianum (L.) was regarded as one of the wonder plants through the last decades. The main bioactive compound in Silybum marianum is silymarin. Therefore, the present study aimed to evaluate the Silymarin and Nano silymarine activities on mice with induced Ehrlich Ascites Carcinoma (EAC). Sixty Swiss albino female mice (weigh 20–22 g) were randomly divided into equal four groups, 15 rats each. The first one didn't receive any treatment and served as the standard control. Each of the three remaining groups received 2.5 x 10 6 EAC cells intraperitoneally. The second group didn't receive further treatment and served as the EAC control. Silymarine and nano silymarine were administered orally at 100mg/kg b.w dailly for 6 weeks to mice in the third and fourth groups, respectively. Biochemical parameters, including liver and kidney functions as well as lipid profile, were evaluated in all experimental groups. Results revealed that, mice with induced EAC displayed adverse influence on the biochemical parameters. The animals treated with silymarine and nano silymarine extracts exhibited significant improvements in the biochemical parameters following treatment , with a stronger impact in case of nano silymarine.

A REVIEW OF THE IMPACT OF FOOD PROCESSING DRYING ON ANTIOXIDANTS CONTENT OF FIGS 食品加工干燥对无花果抗氧化剂含量影响的研究进展

Various techniques for processing fruits, including drying, dehydration, irrigation and canning, have the potential to affect the composition of their nutrients, particularly micronutrients and phytochemicals, as well as their antioxidant content. Ficus Carica L., commonly known as the fig tree, grows extensively in the Mediterranean region. Prior research has indicated that this fruit serves as a plentiful reservoir of polyphenolic compounds. Drying is one of the practices popular for preserving figs and lengthening their shelf life; however, it can lead to the loss of nutrients, especially antioxidants and polyphenol compounds. This review focuses on the effect of drying on the antioxidant content of figs compared to fresh figs.

EFFECT OF VARIOUS THERMAL TECHNIQUES AND FROZEN STORAGE ON SOME CHEMICAL COMPONENT AND PHYTOCHEMICAL COMPOUNDS OF GREEN BEANS AND BROCCOLI. 不同加热技术和冷冻贮藏对青豆和花椰菜某些化学成分和植物化合物的影响。

The goal of this study was investigate effect of various thermal techniques, i.e. boiling, steaming , microwave and on moisture ,ash ,TSS, ascorbic acid , total phenols, total flavonoid and antioxidant activity of two vegetables type (green beans and broccoli ). The recorded data pointed that various methods had significant effect on all analyzed vegetables components. as well as blanching have increased moisture contents of two variety vegetables (85.82%) and (91.43%) compared with the fresh form (84.44%)and (88.82%)respectively . while the Ash , TSS ,and antioxidant contents in two varieties were decreased. When steaming samples were reduce the all chemical and phytochemical parameters expect moisture ,total phenol and total flavonoid have increased in broccoli. the results suggested that the cooking method to save the concentration of (total phenol ,total flavonoid and antioxidant activity ) nearest to the fresh form was microwaving method. at the same time this results suggested that the freezing storage due to decreasing in all levels of chemical and phytochemical components.
