The purpose of the article is to study the processes of digital transformation of the social sector of the regions of the North-West of Russia and, in particular, higher education, healthcare and social protection of the population. On the basis of a number of sources of national statistics, the nature and pace of digital transformation are analyzed, and the presence of numerous methods for assessing digitalization based on various approaches and principles is revealed. The potential effects of the digital transformation of the social sector, as well as possible threats and risks associated with its promotion are considered. It is concluded that, in general, digitalization has significantly expanded the possibilities of the population to use various services, and we can talk about a certain continuity of digitalization processes in each of the considered branches of the social sector. At the same time, there is a pronounced digital divide both between the branches of the social sector and between individual subjects of macroregion, as well as between settlements within each of the regions.

One of the goals of forming regional socio-economic systems is to improve the interaction of nature and society by improving the processes of nature management. Therefore, it is necessary to study changes in the environmental status of natural ecosystems of the region under economic activity pressure. Natural ecosystems are complex systems, and methods of mathematical modelling are applied to study its changes and to predict its state. Paper examines the transport accessibility of the city of Kudrovo, bordering the Nevsky district of St. Petersburg. The study was conducted by the method of transport survey, which was carried out in the morning and evening rush hours. Activists also counted the number of pedestrians traveling to the city of Kudrovo from the metro station «Ulitsa Dybenko» through the wasteland. A survey was also conducted among residents and guests of Kudrovo about the convenience of existing public transport routes, and the degree of need to introduce tram and trolleybus lines. After analyzing the results of the survey, proposals were developed to improve the existing situation and divided them into two stages: hardware and strategic. At the hardware level, the author proposed to strengthen / weaken some tram routes, depending on the degree of their importance and congestion, to develop a new terminal station, it is proposed to extend some existing public transport routes in the city of Kudrovo, and create a number of terminal stations there. At the strategic level, it is proposed to lay a tram line along the main highway - European Avenue, trolleybus lines along Central Street, Prazhskaya Street and Stroiteley Avenue, as well as to build the Kudrovo transport hub, which includes a metro station, a bus station, a terminal station for trolleybuses and trams. The routes of the new trolleybuses and trams will be both radial (connection with the central regions) and tangential (connection with the nearest outlying areas - Frunzensky, Nevsky, Krasnogvardeysky). Thus, not only the transport accessibility of Kudrovo is improved, but also the ecological background of the city, since all routes will be transferred to electric traction.

In this article, the transport system of the Crimea will be considered from the point of view of the characteristics of various types of transport according to criteria such as efficiency, safety, time costs and consumer preferences. The article will consider the infrastructure of the peninsula for all types of vehicles, as well as the main features of the passenger traffic of the Crimean peninsula, the dynamics of changes in the number of passengers, as well as factors affecting the sharp increase in rail passengers in recent years. An analysis of passengers' preferences by types of railway cars will be carried out and a conclusion will be made about the need to plan updates in the infrastructure of Russian Railways.

In 2022, Russia's socio-economic system faced large-scale sanctions pressure, which caused «the turn to the East» - a rapid reorientation of the Russian economy. The establishment of the sanctions regime constitutes an economic shock. Refined signs of economic shock are defined: it causes perturbing effects of negative or positive nature, has a short-term impact, has a short-term impact. The combination of the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic with sanctions pressure can be considered as a combined shock. This concept is applicable at the national, subnational and sectoral level. Using the principal component analysis, using the Rstudio data analysis environment, we calculated correlation coefficients between the considered indicators of socio-economic situation of Russian regions in connection with the pandemic shock. The conclusions about the possibility of clustering of the obtained data are drawn, and the prospects for further research on the topic of shock resilience are determined.

The article consistently examines the issues of the organization and functioning of the strategic planning system in the Leningrad region, highlighting the key component - social development planning. The assessment of the monitoring and control of the implementation of strategic planning documents is presented on the example of the social priority «Public health», the compliance of the concept of strategic planning of the region with the basic requirements of federal legislation is revealed. The analysis and evaluation of documents of regional strategic planning in the Leningrad region is carried out. The conclusions are formulated, consisting in compliance with the concept of strategic planning of the region with the basic requirements of federal legislation, the need to adjust the system-forming document in terms of clarifying regional social priorities in connection with changing global trends, as well as documents implementing the Strategy of socio–economic development of the region - the Action Plan and existing state programs.
