: The purpose of that article is to depict history of qualitative methods. The main research problem undertaken by the authors is the question of how the history of qualitative research abroad is shaped and what implications it may have for research practice in our country. The hermeneutical method was adopted, the study of texts in order to draw further, original conclusions, including further research practice. The first part shows the phases of its development, starting from the period of early classical research, through the period of the formation of original traditions and the period of checking the foundations and paradigm of research, to the period of new systematization of methods, procedures and standards. Such a division is relatively unknown and is a novelty. This makes it valuable. This section provides a detailed overview of the material. The second part contains methodological findings. It shows what qualitative research is in its essence on the basis of the literature on the subject, paying close attention to their characteristic features constituting their unique character. The classification of qualitative methods was presented. The article also emphasizes the role of the researcher of qualitative methods that is significantly different from the role in the case of quantitative methods. The full pictureencourages us to look at the methodological achievements of the qualitative perspective and even deeper appreciate their unique values.

: The article reviews empirical research on the factors determining parental strategies for developing linguistic competences and shaping readiness to read and write in children with special educational needs in early and middle childhood. Particular attention was paid to the diverse practices of parents in the organization and course of early reading initiations, undertaken in the home environment. The conducted analysis of research works allowed to indicate the areas of scientific research in the conducted contemporary research projects and to outline possible directions of future research in the field of the discussed issues.

: The article is devoted to revalidation in the field of improving the hand-eye coordination of children with moderate intellectual disability – students of grades I–III of a special school. In the theoretical context, the limitations in the field of hand-eye coordination of students with intellectual disabilities are presented. Moreover, considerations were made on the sense of revalidation, which emerges from the set of Maria Grzegorzewska’s pedagogical activities. In a practical context, an original idea for conducting revalidation classes was presented, inspired by the content of Małgorzata Różyńska’s therapeutic story and the Program Developing Visual Perception by Marianne Frostig and David Horne.

: People with disabilities stay in separate areas of social life, often without the conditions to be at home in the city. At the same time, the lack of visibility of people with disabilities in public space is a challenge for the modern city. Therefore, as part of designing various forms of support for people with challenges, a significant role should be assigned to communication activities. The text indicated that in a city that supports people with disabilities, it is easier to strengthen the emancipatory abilities of these people through communication activities. The agreement gives meaning to the communication activity and in this sense selected dialogue workshops were presented. These activities are the core strength of the development of various forms of support for people with challenges and participatory practices of residents who get to know cities. The article presents reflections on the support of people with disabilities in the perspective of their efficient actions and creative activities in the city. It was emphasized that in the conditions of a learning com-munity, a city sensitive to the needs of its residents, as part of building various dialogue workshops, it is possible to design solutions in the city to transform the diminished life condition of people with disabilities.

This also applies to that part of the said education which covers the ethical dimension of professional activity undertaken by this group of teachers, as the quality of their activities, and, in particular, teaching, educational, caring, therapeutic, rehabilitation and social rehabilitation activities, depends on the appropriate level of ethical competence developed by special education teachers. An inseparable part of each of these activities is the ethical element, which de-termines their specific nature. The text describes two approaches to the ethical education of special education teachers, i.e. presenting it, firstly, as the provision of normative ethical knowledge, and, secondly, as shaping of special education teachers’ ethical dispositions. : The aim of this article is to present the possibilities of shaping not only broadly understood competences – personal resources of an individual, but also creating agency in the course of implementing a social project, in isolation from school reality. A social project – based on the project method – can be implemented in the course of formal education, often overloaded with the content of the core curriculum, with limited time for cooperation among students. A complementary platform that allows you to turn to the individual and gain opportunities for his or her development is the platform entitled “Exempt from Theory”. The implementation of the social project in the team will allow developing cooperation, one of key competences, responsibility, as well as a sense of agency, which is crucial especially in the course of changes and life or professional challenges. It allows an individual to take actions that will benefit not only them, but also the community in which they live.

: The article focuses on explaining the essence of the pedagogical accompaniment in the educational process in the autonomous space of relational awareness, educator – pupil. It deals with the subject of understanding the spiritual dimension and its influence on the shaping of the process towards independence, self-determination of the pupil, in which the personal dignity of the human being is inscribed. The presence of two interpretations – anthropological and spiritual, enriches the understanding of the human being also in relation to the Transcendent – God. It discusses the issue of a crucial relationship between personalism and religious upbringing, which influences the shaping of the pupil’s moral and ethical attitudes. It is a call to educate in a spirit that understands people who can act differently, , without evaluating and giving stereotypical patterns of their perception. Incorporating the neurodiversity perspective in the world of neurodiversity introduces the context of otherwise proficient human understanding not in the area of medicalization but in the area of socio-cultural-philosophical nature.
