Interactive Simulation in Web Pages: A System for Rapid Development 网页交互仿真:一个快速发展的系统

This paper describes a software system for rapid, coding-free development of interactive simulations in Web pages. The core of the system is a library of reusable objects based on the NumberLinX (NLX) architecture: GUI objects for user-controlled inputs, output displays, and controls, along with calculation objects and a manager linking all the objects. The development system included an NLX library, an application program for entering the model description, and integration of the NLX objects into a commercial Web design program for page construction

High-Speed Real-Time Simulation 高速实时仿真

Real-time simulation has been used since the early days of computer simulation. Current real-time operating systems can support real-time simulations with frame times as short as hundreds of microseconds. Some applications are now emerging that need shorter frame times, as low as 1 microsecond. New techniques are required for these high-speed real-time (HSRT) simulations. One approach is based on small arrays of digital signal processors. For complex systems it may be necessary to embed HSRT simulations in a larger real-time system using a multi-rate approach.

A technique for the modelling of nonlinear process control using recursive least square and Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy system with genetic algorithm topology is described. This paper discusses the identification of parameters of the fuzzy sets at the antecedent part and linear model at the consequent part of fuzzy model within an application to process control. The key issues of finding the best model of the process are described. Results show that fuzzy model with genetic algorithm gives minimum mean squared error compare with recursive least square

Programming of PIC Micro-Controller for Power Factor Correction 功率因数校正PIC微控制器的编程

In recent years, the power quality of the AC system has become a great concern due to the rapidly increased numbers of electronic equipment, power electronics and high voltage power system. In order to reduce harmonic contamination in power lines and improve transmission efficiency, power factor correction research became a hot topic. Many control methods for the power factor correction (PFC) were proposed. This paper describes the design and development of a three-phase power factor corrector using PIC (programmable interface circuit) micro-controlling chip. This involves sensing and measuring the power factor value from the load using PIC and sensors, then using proper algorithm to determine and trigger sufficient switching capacitors in order to compensate excessive reactive components, thus withdraw PF near to unity; as a result acquires higher efficiency and better quality AC output. Various power factor correction methods will also be discussed upon their applications in a specific sections

Our current research has extended to the service virtualization which is the final stage in service provisioning. Fuzzy Logic Token Bucket Bandwidth Predictor for Assured Forwarding Traffic in a DiffServ-Aware MPLS Internet 模糊逻辑令牌桶带宽预测器在差分服务器感知的MPLS网络中保证转发流量

The foundation of the Internet network architecture, which revolves around the transfer of packets over multitude of networks, need to be improvised to support multimedia communications. To this end the Internet community has proposed several architectures that potentially can address this requirement. Two promising architectures are differentiated services (DiffServ) and multiprotocol label switching (MPLS). This paper describes a fuzzy logic token bucket bandwidth predictor for assured forwarding (AF) traffic aggregates at the DiffServ level in a DiffServ-aware MPLS Internet network. The AF traffic class comprise of variable bit rates traffic. The fuzzy logic bandwidth predictor facilitates bandwidth predicting and dynamic policing at the DiffServ level. A simulation study was performed for the fuzzy logic predictor using network simulator-2. The network and traffic models were developed and validated before the performance study is performed. The results show that the fuzzy logic predictor gave commendable bandwidth prediction compared to actual bandwidth utilization of the AF traffic class

Modeling Web Services with FSM Modules 用FSM模块建模Web服务

Web service modeling research is largely limited to service conversation i.e. choreography. Recently, we have proposed a method to model both service orchestration and choreography using a FSM. But a flat approach (i.e. modeling at one level only) is not suitable to represent a large and complex service process. For the purpose, we propose a method to model Web services using FSM modules. And shown that such a model is structured, understandable (especially while handling concurrent activities), verifiable and useful for model transformation. We have proposed two operators to model temporal behavior of Web services

Modelling and Optimisation of a Traffic Intersection Based on Queue Theory and Markov Decision Control Methods 基于队列理论和马尔可夫决策控制方法的交通交叉口建模与优化

Traffic models play an important role in both today's traffic research and in many traffic applications such as traffic flow prediction, incident detection and traffic control. Modelling traffic dynamics and optimising the control signal are two interrelated problems. Modelling provides fundamental understanding of traffic dynamics and behaviour. In this paper, traffic signal is modelled as a M/M/l queueing theory. The validation of a simulation model (M/M/l queue) with different arrival rates is presented. From the result, a traffic light model was developed by applying M/M/l queue theory for single intersection. In the optimisation strategy, the Markov decision control is applied to minimize queue length and waiting time. Simulation results show the excellent potential of this approach

Vehicle license plate recognition has been intensively studied in many countries. Due to the different types of license plates being used, the requirement of an automatic license plate recognition system is different for each country. In this paper, an automatic license plate recognition system is proposed for Malaysian vehicles with standard license plates using blob labeling and clustering for segmentation, seven popular and one proposed edge detectors for feature extraction and neural networks for classification. There were eight experiments conducted using eight different edge detectors: Kirsch, Sobel, Laplacian, Wallis, Prewitt, Frei Chen and a proposed edge detector. The result had shown kirsch edge detectors is the best technique for feature exractor while the proposed achieved better results compared to Prewitt, Frei Chen and Wallis
