Resonance multiplicities in a hadron transport approach 强子输运方法中的共振多重性

In this article we focus on the multiplicities of resonances, ratios of resonant over non-resonant states and rescattering processes in heavy ion collisions. Therefore we utilize a hadron transport model (UrQMD vl.3). We find that rescattering of decay particles is of great importance when studying resonances in a hadronic medium.

Kaon production is studied within the Giessen Boltzmann-Uehling-Uhlenbeck (GiBUU) model. Results are compared with experiment and with other models. The influence of the kaon potential on the kaon azimuthal distributions at SIS energies is considered. We also discuss the role of the many-body collisions at high-density phase of reaction.

Influence of In-medium properties of vector mesons on dilepton production in heavy ion collisions at SIS energies 在SIS能量下重离子碰撞中矢量介子的介质性质对双轻子产生的影响

Dileptons represent a unique probe for nuclear matter under extreme conditions reached in heavy ion collisions. They allow the study of meson properties, like mass and decay width, at various density and temperature regimes. Up to now, in the Tubingen model for dilepton production, modification of meson properties in nuclear medium has been accounted for by allowing a density dependence of the mass (Brown-Rho scaling) together with an ad hoc dependence of the meson decay widths on the same variable. We use the extended vector meson dominance (eVMD) model to extract meson properties in nuclear matter by computing the in-medium meson spectral functions. Dilepton spectra for C+C at 1.0 and 2.0 AGeV are calculated and compared with previous results.

New strong interactions: From QCD to LHC 新的强相互作用:从QCD到LHC

The concept of strong interactions need not be limited to the sector of physics taken by QCD. While this domain is investigated by RHIC, LHC will be able to probe potential new strong interactions simultaneously: Finding the precise mechanism for electroweak symmetry breaking is one of the prime problems of physics. Intricately linked to this point is the question after the true nature or even the existence of the Higgs boson. Here, we present stronly interacting theories providing an explanation for the hierarchy problem and leading to a light composite Higgs boson, favoured by experimental data. Our variation of the standard model is consistent with precision data. We achieve this accordance by using technifermions in a higher representation of their gauge group. Anomaly conditions require at least one extra lepton family for some of the theories whereby they contain a natural dark matter candidate. We can accurately determine the masses of said leptons from experimental data.

The coherent inelastic processes of the type a → b, which may take place in the interaction of hadrons and γ quanta with nuclei at very high energies (the nucleus remains the same), are theoretically investigated. Analytical formulas for the effective cross-section σcoh(a→b) are obtained.

Saturation momentum: From fixed to running coupling 饱和动量:从固定耦合到运行耦合

Of late, it has been possible to establish and exploit connections between the evolution of parton distribution functions in quantum chromodynamics (QCD) and reaction diffusion systems in statistical physics. On that side stands the well studied Fischer-Kolmogorov-Petrovsky-Piscounov (FKPP) equation in its deterministic and stochastic (sFKPP) variants, respectively. On the side of QCD stand the JIMWLK equation, its recent extensions, and the Balitsky-Kovchegov (BK) equation. The key to extracting information on the solutions of the equation of motion in both fields is primarily the fact that both groups of equations describe the propagation into an unstable state. Unfortunately, the translation works mostly for the case of a fixed coupling constant only. Here, it is shown that, because the system is evolving away from an unstable fix point, it is possible to translate information from the fixed to the running coupling case. This is demonstrated for the saturation momentum in the regime of asymptotically high rapidities [1].

The collision energy dependence of jet tomography is investigated within the GLV formalism. We estimate systematic uncertainties resulting from the interplay of energy loss fluctuations and the rapid increase of the parton transverse momentum slopes as √s decreases from 200 to 62.4 AGeV.

This paper addresses the theoretical analysis of dilepton spectra in C+C collisions at GSI-SIS energies. Theoretical predictions for the recent data of the HADES Collaboration at SIS energies are made with the help of a hadron-string transport model, the Ultra-relativistic Quantum Molecular Dynamics (UrQMD) model. A mass shift of the ρ meson due to kinematical effects is discussed.
