For a category of linear parameter varying (LPV) systems, i.e. LPV systems with both bounded rates of parameter variations and parameter measurement errors, the approach to design the feedback robust model predictive control (RMPC) is studied. The proposed controller utilizes the information on system parameters so as to improve the control performance, where the LPV system model is transferred into a sequence of future models with parameter-incremental uncertainty to include both the parameter variations and the parameter measurement. Then, a sequence of feedback control laws is designed to correspond to the sequence of future models. Since the information on system parameters is utilized and the control actions will vary corresponding to the future variations of system parameters, the better control performance can be achieved. The recursive feasibility and closed-loop stability of the proposed RMPC are also proven.

In parallel with the quick expansion of embedded devices come the rapid growth of embedded software. The commonly used software developing methods can't meet the fast growing demands of variable software when concerning user experience, cross-platforms, upgrade, hardware resources, etc. This paper proposes a new embedded software developing architecture based on the neural network organization and component principles. With the advantages of the network's dynamic weight adjusting and flexible self-learning structure, the approach can not only enable the software better adapt to the users' attributes, but also make the software be easily to extend and upgrade.

In heat exchanger heat meter, the heat exchanger is equivalent to a flowmeter. The flow and heat can be calculated by measuring the inlet and outlet temperature of heat exchanger. It greatly prevents the flowmeter from the problem of inaccuracy and damage which are caused by the quality of water. However, due to the complexity of the heat exchanger model, it is difficult to get an expression between flow and temperature through analytic methods. This makes a great difficulty to design and optimize the structure of heat exchanger. To solve the problem above, we establish a three-dimensional model of heat exchanger by means of CFD numerical simulation software. By solving it in the parallel computing platform, we get the relationship between flow and temperature difference ratio, and optimize the structure of the heat exchanger by means of pattern search method. Simulation results show that after using this optimization method, the performance of heat exchanger has been effectively improved.

Tip-jet, reaction-drive rotor is characterized by light weight and simple structure, as it eliminates the transmission and anti-torque system which are necessary in a conventional shaft-drive helicopter. A tip-jet rotor parameters design methodology is presented by modeling the duct interior flow and rotor external aerodynamics. The inner flow model includes the influence of area, temperature, friction and rotor rotation, the rotor tension and torque is analyzed by a modified blade element method. The represented method is a rapid approach to decide jet rotor parameters in concept design stage, results of which show that section thickness and rotary speed are the main factors to tension and power balance.

A novel data based predictive control method is proposed by introducing the notion of neural network based predictive control to a model-free control method based on Simultaneous Perturbation Stochastic Approximation (SPSA). The controller is constructed through use of a Function Ap-proximator (FA), which is fixed as a neural network here. In the novel approach, the ability of the controller has been greatly improved. At last, the proposed novel control method is applied to solve nonlinear tracking problems. Simulation comparison tests were done on two typical non-linear plants, through which, the effectiveness of the novel data based predictive control method is fully illustrated.

Wireless multimedia quality of service (QoS) support the basic objective is that in the bandwidth limited circumstances, provision and users pay a considerable quality of service. To establish the right business model is the first problem to be solved. The so-called business model, that is, according to the characteristics of a variety of specific applications, can be divided into different types. For example, in support of QoS and the ATM is defined in several business models. Constant bit rate services, the bandwidth requirements of the most stringent requirements of other types of bandwidth in turn to relax.

The ART-2 network is a typical adaptive resonance theory based neural network approach for clustering purpose and has been successfully used in many fields. However, one of the fatal shortcomings of traditional ART-2 is that its final results heavily depend on a pre-defined fixed vigilance threshold parameter, which makes it infeasible to be applied in different complicated applications. Another disadvantage of traditional ART-2 method is that the number of categories in the network will increase all the time with the continuous input. Considering these points, an improved algorithm of ART-2 has been presented in this paper called the Robust ART-2. We first systematically analyze the dynamic changes of the optimal vigilance threshold with the succession inputs and propose a new adaptive method to make the network itself can automatically choose the optimal threshold in various situations. Then we introduce a constraint parameter to confine the scale of ART-2 network by limiting the maximal number of categories of network. Simulation experiments including artificial and benchmark data sets demonstrate the effectiveness of our algorithm.

Some vehicle yaw dynamics modelling methods are analyzed and a new control-oriented model is proposed in the paper. These vehicle yaw dynamics models are all obtained through simplifying vehicle original physical dynamics, and they all have strong and weak points. Considering vehicle yaw stability control problem, a new observer-based vehicle yaw dynamics modelling approach for controller design is proposed, which is nonlinear and strict-feedback. And these models are further evaluated in a nonlinear vehicle simulation software, and it is testified that the proposed model is proper for yaw stability controller design.

The operation mode of the locomotive micro-devices is a combination of moving forwards, backwards, staying and rotation. In order to supply power by inductively wireless transmission to locomotive micro-devices, the micro-power receiver is often attached with the locomotive device. The distance and orientation between micro-power receiver and magnetic flux transmitter are changed as the locomotive micro-devices operate, rotate or move so that the power received by the micro-power receiver is varying. In this paper, the variable power control is applied on the magnetic flux transmitter to regulate the wireless received power at micro-power receiver. By Biot-Savart law and Faraday's law, the mathematical description from transmitter to micro-power receiver is constructed. By employing commercial software, Ansoft Maxwell, based on finite element method, the estimation error on power transmission by mathematical description is revealed. Besides, the design parameters of micro-receiver and transmitter are also examined for later-on fabrication and set-up. Finally, the test rig of variable power control is also established for performance verification.

Automatic Train Control (ATO) is essential for improving the performance and accuracy of the urban rail transit, and that train dynamic modeling and simulation is one of the most critical technologies in the process of urban rail transit construction. However, presently there is short of research on the modeling and simulation of train dynamics of urban rail transit in both theory and applications. This paper studies the dynamic characteristics of urban rail transit, constructs the dynamic model of urban rail transit from a viewpoint of system engineering, by combining the programming advantages of LabVIEW and MATLAB. The simulation system may imitate driver console, simulate actual train's operating state and reflect real-time calculation results. The validity and reliability of the simulation system as well as the dynamic model are verified and analyzed by comprehensive experimental simulations and assesments.
