This paper presents 10 kW grid connected photovoltaic inverter with high frequency transformer. This inverter system consist of DC/DC Converters, 2 high frequency transformers in parallel, diode full bridge rectifiers and 3 phase inverter. Proto Type inverter is manufactured and experimented. High frequency link DC-DC converter increases input DC voltage and supplies power to the inverter, which can energize directly the grid without LF step-up transformer. This system is lighter, more efficient and economical than the inverter with utility frequency transformer.

This paper presents development of 200 kW grid connected PV inverter. 200 kW Grid connected PV inverter has the utility frequency transformer for the galvanic isolation between DC and AC , and its output is 3-phase 3-wire 60 Hz, 380 V. P&O algorithm is used for the maximum power point tracking (MPPT) and the active frequency drift scheme for the anti islanding protection. The inverter is controlled by 32 bit DSP. This paper explain the performance and test result of utility interface, anti-islanding, efficiency and THD of 200 kW grid connected PV inverter.

Railway signaling system is the core technology to secure safety and punctuality. The system in Korea is currently applied to each railway organization with a differently and independently developed form handed from various signaling systems of other countries. The problem from the above reason makes the identification time of the causes of failure and the maintenance time longer, makes the quality of the railway operation, the service quality for the general public degraded, makes relevant matters to its interoperability, operation, maintenance, and training difficult even for the same functions, and thus, results in excessively expensive expenses. To make a preparation for the continuous expansion of the urban transit lines, and the improvement of the existing urban transit ones, the advanced standardization of signaling systems, which is following the current technological trend, is required. As the demands of the improvement of our own technologies and the security of compatibility among different products, studies on establishing standard specifications and safety standards are conducted. In this paper the structure of the standard specification and the safety criterion are represented.

This paper deals with an automatic rotor design functional standard computation based on torque/volume for a synchronous reluctance motor (SynRM). The focus of this paper is the design relative to the torque/volume on the basis of each rated wattage according to the rotor diameters of a SynRM. The coupled finite elements analysis (FEA) & sequential unconstrained minimization technique (SUMT) have been used to evaluate design solutions. The proposed procedure allows to define the rotor geometric design function according to the rotor diameter and rated wattage starting from an existing motor or a preliminary design.

This study investigates the dynamic characteristics of synchronous reluctance motor (SynRM), with segmental rotor structure, using finite element method in which the moving mesh technique is considered. The focus of this paper is the effective of on-line parameter identification system for position sensorless control of a SynRM under saturation and iron loss. Comparisons are given with angle of the observer and those of proposed FEM & Preisach model of synchronous reluctance motor, respectively. The position sensorless control using identified motor parameters is realized, and the efficiency of the on-line parameter identification system is verified by experimental results.
