Multiple 16QAM signals generation at 40Gbit/s using a novel transmitter 使用新型发射机以40Gbit/s的速度生成多个16QAM信号

We propose a scheme of multiple 16QAM signals generation at 40Gbit/s using a novel transmitter. The scheme is based on a dual-parallel Mach-Zehnder modulator (DPMZM) and a following phase modulator (PM). We demonstrate the proposed transmitter by VPI simulation and three types of 16QAM signals are obtained, which shows the feasibility of the transmitter. In order to further investigate the transmission performance, the generated 16QAM signals are transmitted through 80-km standard single-mode fiber (SSMF) and detected by a coherent receiver and error free performance is achieved.

Survivability is a key issue in optical grids. In this paper, a resilient Optical Burst Switching (OBS) / Generalized Multi-Protocol Label Switching (GMPLS) network scenario, in which both the protection/restoration in the OBS layer and GMPLS layer and the resilient resource discovery and management scheme are experimentally demonstrated and theoretically analyzed. The results show that the proposed solutions are feasible and efficient.

Stimulating cooperation in self-organized vehicular networks 促进自组织车辆网络的合作

A Vehicular Ad-hoc NETwork (VANET) is a special form of Mobile Ad-hoc Network designed to provide communications among nearby vehicles and between vehicles and nearby fixed roadside equipment. Its main goal is to improve safety and comfort for passengers, but it can also be used for commercial applications. In this latter case, it will be necessary to motivate drivers to cooperate and contribute to packet forwarding in Vehicle-to-Vehicle and Vehicle-to-Roadside communications. This paper examines the problem, analyzes the drawbacks of known schemes and proposes a new secure incentive scheme to stimulate cooperation in VANETs, taking into account factors such as time and distance.

Power allocation for single secondary user in OFDM-based cognitive networks with comprehensive interference considerations 基于ofdm的认知网络中考虑综合干扰的单次用户功率分配

Conflict-free power allocation for secondary user (SU) in cognitive networks is a challenging problem since the accessible spectrum of the SU is shared with the primary user (PU); the problem becomes to be especially difficult when it is wanted to achieve the maximum network capacity considering the mutual interference between PU and SU. In this paper, specifying the single SU case with multiple PUs, the power allocation for the subcarriers of the SU is modeled into a single user water-filling framework, where the mutual interference between the PUs and the SU is comprehensively formulated into the restrictions on the SU's transmission power. As a result, proposed modeling scheme restrains the interference to the PUs as well as maximizes the capacity of the SU. Simulation results illustrate the influence of the mutual interference on the power allocation and the network capacity.

Constructing optical buffers with switches and fiber delay lines 用交换机和光纤延迟线构造光缓冲器

Designing optical buffer is still challenge for supporting all optical packet switching. The current practice is to emulate the optical buffer functions through a combination of switch and fiber delay lines (SDL). In this paper we introduce the recent progress on this line, in particular, the SDL-based emulation of optical queues, connectors and buffers.

A new approach to alleviate the gain imbalance of parallel subchannels for MIMO systems 一种缓解MIMO系统并行子信道增益不平衡的新方法

Eliminating the interferences among antennas is the first issue for effectively utilizing the spatial degree of freedoms of multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems. Singular value decomposition (SVD) method plays an important role for interference elimination through a joint transceiver way, where the singular vectors are often used for linear unitary precoding (UP). However, directly applying SVD to the channel matrix suffers from subchannel-gain imbalance. In this paper, a new approach is proposed based on the lattice reduction (LR) method to alleviate such an imbalance problem. We apply SVD to the LLL-reduced channel matrix and obtain the new unitary precoding matrix. The additional complexity is negligible for long-block transmission. Numerical results show that the proposed scheme can outperform the conventional one for uncoded systems and coded systems.

A novel proposal of all-optical analog-to-digital conversion with unbalanced MZM and filter array 一种基于非平衡MZM和滤波阵列的全光模数转换新方案

A novel phase-shifted optical analog-to-digital conversion proposal is presented and analyzed. Using an unbalanced MZM and specifically designed filter array, the desired phase shift between adjacent quantization channels can be realized. Comparing with existing schemes, the main advantage of this scheme is only one EOM and two wavelengths needed, regardless of the quantization resolution. Utilizing commercial products, analysis indicated that the number of bits as high as 8-bit and sampling rate up to 40GS/s can be realized.

Experimental demonstration of a service oriented labeled optical burst switching network with SIP based service plane 基于SIP业务平面的面向业务的标记光突发交换网络的实验验证

To address the demands of emerging applications or services which require not only the network resources but also the non-network resources, a new optical burst switching (OBS) network scenario is proposed and demonstrated in this paper. This scenario can be referred to as service oriented labeled OBS network, in which a Session Initiation Protocol (SIP)-based service plane is introduced. This service plane can obtain the network and non-network resource information from OBS control plane and computational resource respectively, and is responsible for translating user request, discovering and managing resources through standard SIP messages. By enhancing the functionalities of our labeled OBS test-bed, the feasibility and efficiency of proposed network scenario is successfully verified. As SIP is a standard protocol with flexible session control capability, we believe the proposed scenario is beneficial for promoting the OBS technology to be widely deployed in the future.

A novel resilience matrix for survivable routing in a distributed control architecture 分布式控制体系结构中可生存路由的一种新的弹性矩阵

Fast recovery from failures and overall high utilization of network capacity are two primary goals of network survivability design. Shared backup path protection (SBPP) has been shown to be efficient in terms of capacity utilization, due to the sharing capability among protection paths. The amount of bandwidth sharing that can be achieved depends on how detailed is the bandwidth usage information available at the source nodes to identify the dependencies between the working and protection capacities associated with each pair of links. In this paper, we investigate such dependencies of SBPP under a distributed control environment and propose a novel matrix-based framework, termed Resilience Matrix (RM), as a general distributed control architecture that can be applied in the link-state dissemination paradigm in survivable routing.

Shared backup path protection (SBPP) has been shown to be efficient in terms of capacity utilization, due to the sharing capability among protection paths. The amount of bandwidth sharing that can be achieved depends on how detailed is the bandwidth usage information available at the source nodes to identify the dependencies between the working and protection capacities associated with each pair of links. A novel QoS-guaranteed proportional fairness with joint space-time-frequency scheduling 一种基于空时频联合调度的新型qos保证比例公平性算法

For the downlink of MIMO-OFDM system, a novel proportional fairness with joint space-time-frequency scheduling is proposed in this paper. On one hand, by space-time-frequency scheduling one can gain multiuser spatial multiplexing on the same subcarrier in one timeslot. On the other hand, with modified traditional proportional fairness, the system can provide QoS guarantee for various service types. The combination of space-time-frequency scheduling and novel proportional fairness makes the system perform well in respect of QoS provision without sacrificing much throughput.
针对MIMO-OFDM系统的下行链路,提出了一种具有空时频联合调度的比例公平性算法。一方面,通过空时频调度可以在同一子载波上实现一个时隙内的多用户空间复用。另一方面,通过对传统比例公平性的改进,系统可以为各种服务类型提供QoS保障。空时频调度与新型比例公平性相结合,使系统在不牺牲大量吞吐量的情况下,在QoS提供方面表现良好。
