A novel sampled Bragg grating comb filter with a ladder chirped structure 一种具有阶梯啁啾结构的新型采样布拉格光栅梳状滤波器

Based on a sampled fiber Bragg grating, a novel approach to obtain high channel-count comb filters is proposed for wavelength-division-multiplexing (WDM) system in this letter. There is a non-continuous linear chirped structure like a ladder in grating period. And refractive index modulation amplitude with Hamming spatial profile is used within the samples. The 26-channel comb filter with channel spacing of 50GHz is then fabricated, it features in multiple equalized passbands with flat-top steep-edge and high transmittance which will benefit as multi-channel optical add/drop filters in WDM system.

Route optimization for network mobility with tree-based care of address 基于树状地址的网络移动性路由优化

Network Mobility (NEMO) supports the movement of some part of the network that a group of the Mobile Nodes (MNs) or the Mobile Routers (MRs) moves together. To support NEMO, the NEMO basic support protocol (NBSP) was proposed [1]. In the nested mobile network, however, the NBSP exhibits pinball routing problem. As the degree of nesting increase, the problem becomes more serious. In this paper, we propose a new NEMO management scheme using Tree-based Care of Address (TCoA) and Mobile Network Prefix (MNP). In proposed scheme, all the MRs belonging to the Root-MR in the nested mobile network configure their care-of addresses (CoA) based on the MNP of Root-MR. It mitigates the pinball routing problem. Performance analysis indicates that proposed scheme can reduce end-to-end packet delay and handoff delay.

Performance evaluation of as-friendly peer selection algorithms for P2P live streaming P2P直播中友好对等选择算法的性能评价

In this paper, we evaluate the performance of peer selection algorithms: MLH (Minimum Logical Hop) and MPH (Minimum Physical Hop) to increase the number of joining peers and to decrease inter-AS traffic volume in P2P live streaming, where we assume that every peer's logical hop count (the number of providing peers between an origin streaming server and the peer) is limited by a predetermined value in order to keep real-time property of live streaming. In MLH, a newly joining peer selects such providing peers that the logical hop count is minimum to increase the number of joining peers. And then if there are several such providing peers, the newly joining peer selects such providing peers that the number (physical hop count) of ASs between the newly joining peer and each of the providing peers is minimum to decrease the inter-AS traffic volume. In MPH, a newly joining peer selects providing peers in the reverse order of MLH. Simulation results show that MLH achieves about from 20% to 60% more maximum joining peers than MPH, and MPH shows smaller inter-AS traffic volume than MLH when the number of joining peers is small while MLH shows smaller inter-AS traffic volume when the number of joining peers is large.

In this paper, a novel photonic analog-to-digital conversion method is proposed, theoretically analyzed and numerically simulated. This method features simple configuration, because only one polarization modulator, several polarization controllers and several polarizers are required. Furthermore, this method mitigated the problem of bias-drift, which is common in some previous intensity modulating schemes.
本文提出了一种新的光子模数转换方法,并进行了理论分析和数值模拟。该方法配置简单,只需要一个偏振调制器、几个偏振控制器和几个偏振器。此外,该方法还减轻了以往一些强度调制方案中常见的偏置漂移问题。

Design and implementation of a differential LNA for WiMAX system WiMAX系统差分LNA的设计与实现

The low noise and high gain differential Low Noise Amplifier (LNA) was designed for an IEEE 802.16 Worldwide Interoperability Microwave Access (WiMAX) application. This paper presents a 3.3 GHz to 3.8 GHz CMOS LNA with differential and cascode circuits to reduce the noise figure (NF) and enhance the gain. The LNA was fabricated with Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) 0.18 μm 1P6M standard CMOS process, the cascode technique can reduce the miller effect of gate-drain capacitor Cgd in order to enhance gain, and the active balun can enhance gain and reduce noise. The circuit performances were measured by using on-wafer test. The differential LNA exhibits that the noise figure is 3.3 dB ~ 3.8 dB from 3.3 GHz to 3.8 GHz, the maximum power gain S21 is 14.4±0.6 dB and S31 is 12.4 ± 0.5 dB. The output return loss S22 and S33 are less than −11 dB. The power consumption is 14.8 mW at VDD=1.2 V.

Closed-form expression of average Bit Error Rate (BER) is developed for Chip-Interleaved DS-CDMA system that conducts M-ary communication and non-coherent demodulation in AWGN channel with flat Rayleigh fading. The transmitter uses BPSK modulation and employs binary pseudo-random sequences for symbol-spreading. In receiver the non-coherent demodulation is based on the optimal quadrature demodulator to cancel the phase angles of received signals. Numerical results of simulations greatly agree with the analytical results of the developed expression.

Design of high performance CMOS charge pump for phase-locked loops synthesizer 锁相环合成器中高性能CMOS电荷泵的设计

Conventional charge pumps (CPs) all share a problem of current mismatching, which dominates the phase noise of phase-locked loop (PLL). A high performance charge pump circuit in 0.18μm CMOS process is presented. A rail-to-rail error operational amplifier with reference circuit and self-biasing cascode current mirror enables the charge pump current to be well matched in a wide output voltage range. Simulation results show that the current mismatching can be less than 0.01% within output voltage range of 0.01V to 1.6V, with the charge pump current of 100μA. The circuit dissipates 3mW from a single 1.8-V supply.

Modified systolic array implementation of QRD-RLS algorithms for solving the generalized Hammerstein models 用于求解广义Hammerstein模型的改进的QRD-RLS算法的收缩阵列实现

Generalized Hammerstein models can be used to accurately mimic the dynamic nonlinear behaviors of RF power amplifiers or transmitters. A high efficient parameter extraction algorithm for the generalized Hammerstein model is an essential problem for implementing the nonlinear model in a cheap microprocessor. In this paper, a modified systolic array based QRD-RLS algorithm, which is suitable for implementing in a FPGA-based soft-core microprocessor such as Altera NIOS II, is presented to extract the parameters of the generalized Hammerstein models of an RF power amplifier. The validation results based on a LDMOS power amplifier with a 4-carrier 3GPP WCDMA signal reveal that the modified systolic array based QRD-RLS algorithm can accurately identify the model parameters.

In this paper, a modified systolic array based QRD-RLS algorithm, which is suitable for implementing in a FPGA-based soft-core microprocessor such as Altera NIOS II, is presented to extract the parameters of the generalized Hammerstein models of an RF power amplifier. A precoding scheme with generation crossing for network coding 一种具有生成交叉的网络编码预编码方案

Random network coding based on the generation concept provides various benefits such as reduced system complexity. However, various generation updating processes used in general result in a throughput loss. In this paper, we propose a network coding scheme using a concept we call “generation crossing”. We also introduce a full cardinality precode, which enables the receiver to recover the lost packets when only a subset of the linearly independent encoded packets is received at the destination. We show that the successful delivery probability of all generations increases remarkably with a small number of overlapped packets between successive generations.

A novel compact three port optically-controlled optical switch made by a waveguide uni-traveling-carrier photodiode integrated with a waveguide electro-absorption modulator on n-InP substrate was reported. The device, with a 450 Ω thin-film resistor and a bypass capacitor integrated on chip, demonstrates over 2GHz 3-dB bandwidth.
