Multiple signal representation (MSR) is a promising distortionless technique to reduce the high peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) signals. However, the drawback of MSR-OFDM system is the need of transmitting extra side information (SI) for informing the receiver the index of the transmitted signal, which may decrease the transmission efficiency. In this paper, a new blind detection technique is proposed for improving the transmission efficiency and the robustness of SI in MSR-OFDM system. The basic principle is to represent SI by PN sequences, then overlap the PN sequences on the data symbols for transmission. In the receiver, a blind detection algorithm is employed with moderate complexity. Simulation results show that the proposed new technique can efficiently improve the robustness of the SI by achieving large SNR gain but without loss of transmission efficiency.

Element-interpolation DPCA (Displaced Phase Center Antenna) employs a fractional delay filter to get good GMTI(Ground Moving Target Indication) performance while conventional DPCA conditions cannot be met. Its GMTI performance seriously depends on the adopted filter. This paper evaluates 4 fractional delay filters in element-interpolation DPCA, and provides guidelines for choosing an appropriate filter to get best GMTI performance (ICCCAS'07).

In this paper, based on the stability theory, a nonlinear feedback control scheme is proposed to achieve projective synchronization of two coupled fractional order chaotic electronic oscillators. The advantage of this scheme is that the controller is designed analytically in detail, not only relying on the common numerical simulation. The numerical simulations are given to confirm the correctness and effectiveness of the control scheme and show that projective synchronization can exist in coupled fractional order chaotic electronic oscillators.

Digital peak voltage (DPV) control technique with single-edge and double-edge modulation methods is studied in this paper, and it is studied on buck converter. The different control laws for each modulation method are derived and compared. Small-signal analysis is further performed with comparison on the different modulation methods, and the corresponding Bode-graphs of ac small signal transfer functions are also given to show the difference among these different modulation methods.

We present a new e-voting scheme based on ring signature that satisfies three major properties: (1) "Everlasting anonymity" or unconditional voter-indistinguishability: even a computationally unbounded party does not gain any information about individual votes anytime, even after tally or in future. This is the first explicitly unconditional privacy discussion in e-voting schemes. (2)Uniform interface of ballots: it has no restriction on the form of ballots: "yes/no", k-out-of-m or adding their own candidates, all of which can be realized under uniform interface. (3)High-efficiency: the symmetric cryptography, which is fast and efficient, and the voting phase is only one-round. In addition, our scheme effectively prevents CTF cheating and overcomes the disadvantage in most existed solutions, which excessively dependent on the organization of voting. It not only protects benefits of voters, but also assures the fairness of voting, and can be suitable to all kinds' scales of electronic voting.

In this paper, we present an impulsive synchronization method for chaotic systems based on their Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy models, using the comparison methods to determine the stability of error systems between the drive and response systems. Some sufficient conditions are derived to synchronize chaotic systems. A numerical example is given to illustrate the obtained results.

Selected mapping (SLM) technique is one of the promising peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) reduction techniques for orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM). In SLM, the selection of phase sequence sets is an important factor for PAPR reduction. In this paper, a new criterion based on the correlationship between alternative signals is firstly proposed to examine the effects of different phase sequence sets in SLM scheme. According to the criteria, the chaotic phase sequence set is combined for optimizing the PAPR reduction performance. Simulation results show that the proposed technique could improve the PAPR reduction performance of SLM scheme more effectively compared with other phase sequence sets as introduced in the work of Bauml et al. (1996).

Accurate estimation of synchronization parameters is a fundamental issue in all digital communication systems, especially in the orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) systems. In this paper, we investigate a novel approach to estimation and tracking the symbol timing offset in unknown multi-paths fading channel based on the application of method called sequential Monte Carlo. The performance of the proposed technique is studied through computer simulations that illustrate the accuracy of timing recovery and particle filtering receiver outperforms extended Kalman filtering (EKF) for the considered SNR.

In this paper shaping gains of regular (3,6) LDPC Coded-QAM transmitting systems with nonuniform QAM constellation are presented over AWGN channel. The influences of code rate, frame length, the order of non-uniform QAM constellation, and the finite fields GF(q) of LDPC codes on shaping gain are investigated. It is found that shaping gain of proposed system with non-uniform 64 QAM constellation for binary LDPC codes (R=l/2) can be obviously achieved by middle frame length, and can be improved further with the increase of frame length. Meanwhile it is found that under non-uniform 16 QAM constellation for binary LDPC code(R=l/2) there is no shaping gain improvement with the increase of frame length, but the shaping gains of nonuniform 16 QAM and 64 QAM both are increased, even the former is no less than the latter when we change the finite fields GF(q) of LDPC codes from 2 to 16. The shaping gain can disappear as the binary code rate increases to 3/4 in proposed system.

With the continuous increase of multicast nodes and the introduction of IPv6 technology, CERNET2 ultra-large-scale multicast applications and security will be facing greater challenges. Therefore, a new security framework for dynamic multicast, in which multicast key management domain is divided into the trunk and leaves domains, is presented to avoid the overall system cost about re-keying because of the frequent changes of the members in the group.
