This paper presents a new method automatically translating the Verilog model to an RTL circuit model which can be used in a state-of-the-art finite-domain satisfiability solver EHSAT to check the verified properties. Different methods are used in the transformations of different data types and expressions of Verilog model. Effective backfilling technology is applied in the processes of if...else and case blocks. Experimental results show that this method can make the transformation effective.

We propose a new method of LCMV beamforming based on the fractional Fourier transform (FrFT). This method encompasses the conventional linearly constrained minimum variance (LCMV) beamforming in the frequency domain or spatial domain as special cases. It is especially useful for applications involving chirp signals such as signal enhancement problems with accelerating sinusoidal sources where the Doppler effect generates chirp signals and a frequency shift and active radar problems where chirp signals are transmitted. Numerical examples demonstrate the potential advantage of the proposed method over the ordinary frequency or spatial domain beamforming for a moving a target.

Digital control of switching dc-dc converters brings many benefits including capability to implement advanced control algorithm that is often complex. Nonlinear compensation function with digital PID of power coefficients is proposed in this paper. The describing function is adopted for analysis. The transient response under different load variations is investigated by simulation and compared with the converters employing linear PID compensation. The experiment system is also set up on PGA platform to verify the analysis and simulation results. By comparison, nonlinear compensated converter has much better transient performance than the linear compensated one.

This paper presents a distributed arithmetic (DA) for highly efficient multiplier-less FIR filter designed on FPGA. First, the theory of the distributed arithmetic is described. Furthermore, a modification of the DA based on the look up table (LUT) and filter structure to implement the high-order filter hardware-efficient on FPGA is introduced. The proposed filter has been designed and synthesized with ISE 7.1, and implemented with a 4VLX40FF668 FPGA device. Our results show that the proposed DA architecture can implement FIR filters with the smaller resource usage and similar speed in comparison to the previous DA architecture.

We propose an improved data-puncturing hybrid-ARQ scheme for Low-Density Parity-Check (LDPC) codes based on codeword reliability. Incremental redundancy is generated from punctured versions of the original data using the same encoder/decoder pair. Retransmission packet sizes are determined adaptively according to the reliability level of the decoded data. We conduct detailed simulation experiments and compare the proposed scheme with RB-HARQ and DP-HARQ approaches. The RB-DP-HARQ scheme reduces the retransmission times and the feedback channel traffic for NACK signaling with negligible overhead.

The cellular neural/nonlinear network (CNN) has become a new tool for image and signal processing, robotic and biological visions, and higher brain functions. Based our previous research, this paper set up two new theorems of robust designs for Dilation and Erosion CNNs processing gray-scale images, which provide parameter inequalities to determine parameter intervals for implementing prescribed image processing functions, respectively. Four numerical simulation examples for Dilation and Erosion CNNs are given to illustrate the effectiveness of our theorems.

This article introduces a cooperative diversity method, where cooperation is achieved by network coding. The improved performance of wireless cooperative diversity system offered by network coding based on turbo codes is interpret. The proposed system is structured with turbo code for the relay channel. The system with network coding and a cooperative system without network coding will be compared. The simulation results will show that such system with network coding leads to better performance on BER in the case of several scenarios. Moreover, an improved framework about network coding on relay is suggested at last.

To break through strict preconditions of the coupling matrix between drive and response systems in traditional impulsive research, a new method of computing conditional Lyapunov exponent for impulsive synchronization of chaotic system is introduced to study impulsive synchronization. This method is developed on the basis of the classical Wolfs Algorithm and can compute conditional Lyapunov exponent effectively by adding impulsive control. The impulsive intensity is determined by the impulse coupling matrix between drive and response systems. Moreover the computation load can be simplified greatly by setting computing step size equal to impulsive control interval. The correctness and availability of this method is verified by computing the maximum conditional Lyapunov exponent of Lorenz system and simulation results show this method effective and useful.

We demonstrate in the paper that the applied mobility model has great influences on the system performance of mobile cellular networks. We develop a novel mobility model with Abrupt Event Influence (AEI), as well as the system model, to study to what extent the influences will be, with focusing on the mobility model simulation. We concern the parameters that determine the system performance of mobile cellular networks. We show in this paper that these parameters vary while user mobility changes, but the effects are interactive. Since handoff calls are given a higher priority over new calls and GC mechanism is employed, our analysis shows that a mature mobile cellular network should make use of user mobility characteristics and dynamically adjust its reservation threshold of the handoff call requests. Extensive simulation results validate our analysis.

Channel estimation method is a key issue in MIMO system. In recent years, a lot of papers on subspace(SS)-based blind channel estimation have been published, and in this paper, combining SS method with a space-time coding scheme, we proposed a novel blind channel estimation method in MIMO system. Simulation result demonstrates the effectiveness of this method.
