Election campaigns for the election of deputies of the State Duma from 1993 to 2016 are considered. The results of parliamentary elections, electoral behavior are analyzed. The dynamics of electoral absenteeism is traced. The changes in the electoral legislation aimed at finding the most effective electoral formula for the election of parliamentarians of the lower house of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation are investigated and analyzed. In this scientific article modern methods and information technologies of teaching the English language at a higher educational institution are analyzed. Nowadays university teachers use a range of interactive technologies in the process of teaching foreign languages in order to make practical lessons more interesting and informative, as well as to increase the motivation of students to study foreign languages. Such technologies include: podcasts, academic blogs, TED Talks, mobile apps and so on. The article notes both advantages and disadvantages of applying modern technologies in teaching students

This article discusses the components of the linear structure of a complex syntactical whole – germ, identifies its properties, qualities, features of functioning. Particular attention is paid to the volume characteristic of a germ, that is measured by principles and parameters on the of the field of linguistic tension and the whole complex germ outlined in the course of research. Germ-word having the smallest volume at the highest concentration of linguistic features, is considered in the aspect of the most important principles for determining the volume of germ in view of the values which it acquires in a particular complex syntactic whole, and taking into account the functional and semantic conditions.

This article is related to the use of electronic methodological manuals in the modern educational systen as one of the means of stimulating students to gain professional education. This implicates the use of modern approaches and methods of educational process organization. This theme is topical due to the following important factors: lack of teaching aids, and the transition from one paradigm to another. Consequently, there should be a fundamentally new approach to the teaching aids, for them to answer all modern realia.
