In this work, guaranteed cost robust centralized fusion (CF) and weighted measurement fusion (WMF) steady-state Kalman filters problems in multisensor system with uncertain noise variances are addressed. By parameterzing the perturbations of uncertain noise variances, two classes of guaranteed cost robust CF and WMF Kalman filters are proposed based on minimax robust estimation principle (MREP). The actual accuracy deviations are guaranteed to have the minimal upper bound and maximal lower bound. The proof of guaranteed cost robustness is proposed by using Lyapunov equation method. The equivalence of guaranteed cost WMF and CF Kalman filters is proved by using the information filter. A numerical example verifies the robustness of the proposed filters.

This paper proposes a metamaterial-inspired radome with a wide absorption band and a highly-transparent transmission window. The proposed radome is configured by replacing the ground plane of a metamaterial-inspired absorber with a band-pass frequency selective surface (FSS). In the receiving mode, the radome shows absorption of 90% from 9.1 to 24.8 GHz and a transmission of 95% at 28.1 GHz. In the transmitting mode, it works as a band-pass filter of 28.1GHz with a same transmission as that in receiving mode and reflects all the frequencies out of band.

Sparse channel estimation has attracted more attention for various broadband wireless communication systems. Square error criterion based adaptive filter algorithms are extensively studied for broadband sparse channel estimations (SCE) such as zero-attracting (ZA) least mean square (ZA-LMS) and reweighting ZA-LMS (RZA-LMS) algorithms. However, these sparse LMS algorithms are usually sensitive to the scaling of their input signal. In this paper, an improved sparse algorithm is proposed on the basis of the normalized LMS (NLMS) algorithm, reweighted ZA (RZA) techniques and compressed sensing concepts. The proposed SCE technique is implemented by using an error sequence to redesign the step-size (SS) of the NLMS to modify the RZA-NLMS algorithm. The complexity is also discussed based on the trace calculation strategy. The behaviors of the proposed SCE algorithm are verified over a broadband sparse multi-path wireless channel. The proposed results obtained from the simulation indicate that the presented SCE algorithms are superior to the conventional LMS, NLMS, ZA-LMS, RZA-LMS, ZA-NLMS and RZA-NLMS algorithms with reference to the convergence rate and the estimated error.

In order to realize the safe and efficient movement of the robot, the method of constructing the grid map with local uncertainty of a mobile robot based on Kinect sensor is proposed. The robot's working environment is divided into three parts: the free area, the obstacle area and the unknown area. Kinect sensor is used to detect each area and determine the confidence level of the obstacles. Finally, the local grid map of the robot environment is constructed. Taking the wheeled mobile robot as the experimental platform, the possibility of the proposed algorithm is verified.

Dynamic spectrum access technique brought much light to spectrum efficiency since it has been proposed, that is, in over ten years it made much progress and contribution to cognitive radio in wideband communication systems. The growing requirement of a new generation of wireless communication system for high-speed data communication and bandwidth makes the scarcity of spectrum resources an inevitable problem. With new spectrum methods and strategies coming out, more efforts have been made to this field. This article compares and analyzes recent different dynamic spectrum access methods, on basis of which we propose a modified spectrum access method to enhance spectrum efficiency. Meanwhile simulation and analysis of this method is presented at the end of this article. A new feasible spectrum access algorithm is proposed using hill climbing approach to computes the parameters of spectrum access. Then collaborative access and non-collaborative spectrum access are different in estimating the interference temperature to the primary receivers. Afterwards simulation and comparison of collaborative approach are presented as well.

In modern communication system, electromagnetic equipment is centralized arranged, near-field coupling effect among the various radio communication antennas cannot be ignored. In this paper, by means of numerical simulation and actual test, the coupling effects are simulated to study the near-field coupling effect of antennas in following situations: between two shortwave bipolar antennas, between the LPDA and VHF dipole antenna, and between two VHF line antennas when polarization directions have a difference of 45 degrees. The near-field coupling property regularities of radio antennas with the typical property frequency and pitch variation are summed up, and some simulation experiment is carried out.

Scattering center extraction is the key content in the study of the characteristics of radar target. In this paper, a method based on 2-D data of inverse synthetic aperture radar (ISAR) images is proposed. The wide azimuthal aperture at a single elevation is divided into subapertures, taking advantage of the sparse decomposition and basis pursuit denoising (BPDN) algorithm, the method extracts the 2-D points from different subapertures and makes vectorial resultant, meanwhile to evaluate veracity of the regenerated signal. The method maps these 2-D points to the ground plane to get the trajectory chart of scatterers, and Hough transformation can help to extract 3-D scattering centers of target. The reconstruction is realized by the simulation.

This paper focuses on the communication effectiveness (CE) of VHF frequency-hopping (FH) radio when threatened by the barrage jamming (BJ) in actual environment. First, a FH radio simulation model is built on the Simulink platform based on VHF FH radio's operating principle. Then, the jamming signals are quantified classified by their threat level and simulations of jamming signal from typical paths are made. Finally, emulated studies are made on effects of CE for wideband BJ and comb BJ with different threat level on different FH rate and different FH bandwidth. Also, a hardware-in-the-loop system is also built to verify the simulation results. Corresponding results are drawn.
