The absorption of the minerals produced by the probiotics in ruminants is expected to improve the absorption of the required nutrients. The study used different dietary rations with different percentage of concentrates: forages, different selenium doses, different locations and different strains of lactic acid bacteria as probiotics. The trials were performed with three repetitions using a factorial block (2x2x3x4). Samples were incubated for 48 h using in vitro incubation system. The parameters were pH, the kinetics of gas production, in vitro dry matter digestibility (IVDMD), in vitro organic matter digestibility (IVOMD), and NH 3 -N concentration. The data were analyzed using the ANOVA, followed by the Duncan test. The results showed altered fermentation characteristics, while BioNano-Se at 25 ppm has significantly increased the rumen pH, gas production rate, IVDMD, IVOMD and decreased the total gas production significantly, but did not affect the ammonia concentration. High concentrate rations (R1) produces significantly lower pH ( P < 0.05), but higher gas production rate and digestibility ( P < 0.05). Higher dose of BioNano-Se significantly decreased gas production rate and ammonia production ( P < 0.05). In conclusion, BioNano-Se and probiotics can alter rumen fermentation process.

Genome packaging is a critical step during the viral maturation process. Viruses employ a distinct approach to package their genetic materials inside capsid: ranging from very simple strategy of nucleation of capsid proteins onto genome to complex segro-packasome machinery. The majority of small plant viruses, which falls under type I passive system, package their genome into stable virions in the cytoplasmic compartment, where chances of co-packaging of host RNA is very high, indicates viruses evolved the mechanism of selective and stringent packaging of their genomes. Recent discoveries of the unique ATPase fold in the capsid proteins of smaller plant viruses and their direct or indirect role during genome packaging have changed the perception about genome packaging in type I system. We feel that viruses of type I system have acquired unique and independent innovations for genome packaging over the course of evolution. The molecular interactions, intriguingly, cross-talk between capsid proteins and conserved signal sequence situated at the end of genome, plays an important role while viral genome packaging and translocation. Strategy utilized by smaller plant viruses for enhancement of selective genome packaging does not depend simply on nucleation of capsid proteins over genome but interestingly, configuration of viral genome, replicase, tRNA, viral encoded movement proteins are the other important key players that regulate genome packaging. The main aim of this review is to discuss and revisit the mechanism of genome packaging among viruses of agronomic importance. This study will be also useful for understanding the origin and evolution of viral genome packaging apparatuses and their roles in eukaryogenesis.

In intensive culture fish cannot digest the plant-based diets properly and negatively affects their overall performance. Addition of organic acids in plant-based diets and their salts improves the performance of C. carpio . Current research was conducted to estimate the influences of dietary Tau addition in linseed meal-based diet on growth, hematological indices and carcass composition of common carp fingerlings. C. carpio fingerlings were fed (@4% of live wet body weight) on linseed meal-based diet supplemented with graded levels (0, 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10 gkg -1 ) of dietary taurine for 60 days. The linseed meal-based diets were given to triplicate groups of fish fingerlings (6.22 g average initial body weight) twice a day. Fish fed with linseed meal supplemented with Tau at 4gkg -1 indicated maximum retention of CHO, CP as well as gross energy as compared to fish in control treatment. Growth performance of fish was significantly improved ( p <0.05) by dietary Tau up to optimal level of 4gkg -1 , after which a noticeable decline in fish growth was observed due to poor retention of various essential nutrients and minerals while, EE absorption was maximum at 6gkg -1 diet. Maximum weight gain (18.31) and survival (97.78) were found maximum at 4gkg -1 level based diet. Similarly, best values of various hematological indices i
