Discussions on the Nature of the Scientific Management Approach in the Early Times of U.S. Industry 试论美国工业早期科学管理方法的性质

When the American Civil War ended in 1865, industrial organizations proliferated at an unpredictable rate. With the ascending number of industrial organizations, new problems emerged that the production process and management problems in the U.S. The discussion platforms were created and set up by owners, managers, and consultants of U.S. industry organizations to seek solutions to the joint problems. Management and production process problems had been discussed on these platforms. This study highlights the significance of science, art, and philosophical concepts related to the scientific management (S.M.) movement in the early period of U.S. industry organizations by focusing on these concepts’ similarities and dissociations. The articles, books, and proceedings of the S.M. movement pioneers have revealed the root causes of the different opinions about the S.M. movement. Science, art, and philosophical viewpoints of scientific management have discussed S.M.’s pioneers and its period conditions. Different viewpoints indeed created an excellent ground for the development of S.M. However, the early phases of S.M. were opponents to the S.M. movement, and those who criticized the S.M. did so for it being an uncompleted and interest group related movement.

The Influence of Green-Transformational Leadership Style on Corporate Sustainability: A Systematic Literature Review and Propositions for Future Studies 绿色变革型领导风格对企业可持续发展的影响:系统文献综述及未来研究建议

The green transformational leadership (GTL) type adopting green values is an important internal resource and capability of the corporations in terms of environmental sustainability. This situation rationalises why the GTL needs to be deeply explored and comprehensively developed. Therefore, it is very important to analyse the studies on GTL and to classify existing studies collecting as titles with an interpretive approach. In this study, it has been proposed that with an integrative systematic literature review, both the situation of present knowledge about GTL will be described and future research agenda is to be suggested. In direction of this aim, the subjects analysed are national context, method, economic sector, research focus, mediator variable of research and the position of GTL in the analytical model. Results show that most researchers conduct their research on developing countries, and usually prefer quantitative methods and mostly discuss GTL style as drivers of employees’ green behavior at work. A future research agenda with six propositions is made by evaluating basic theoretical gaps in the field.

The Joint Effects of Customer and Competitor Orientation on Marketing Performance: A Case of an Industry Leading Firm in Turkey 顾客导向和竞争者导向对营销绩效的共同影响:以土耳其一家行业龙头企业为例

The study was conducted in an industry leading company to examine the two dimensions of market orientation (customer orientation and competitor orientation) from the perspective of its sales employees and customers and to explain their relationship with marketing performance. The research data were collected from company’s sales group field employees on the firm side and company’s sales dealer employees on the consumer side. With the research, it was aimed to measure the differences, changes and relations between regions, years, and parties (employee-customer) based on three-year measurements carried out in 7 geographical regions (18 provinces) throughout the country at the scale of an industry-leading company. The first finding points to the significant relationship between marketing performance and customer orientation. The second finding reveals that the firm tends towards customer-oriented behaviors in macroeconomic growth periods and towards competitor-oriented behaviors in recession periods. Another important finding is that the analysis at the level of geographical regions indicates that there are significant differences between regions, but it is understood that this difference is caused by a small number of provinces. In this context, it is possible to say that the country market reflects similar orientation trends in general.

Research from past to present on organizational behavior and management may need to be re-evaluated according to today’s conditions. In this context, it has become necessary to examine the relationship between leadership styles and employees’ attitudes regarding both past and future generations. In the study, whether transformational leadership and its dimensions affect employees’ job satisfaction and organizational commitment was investigated according to generation differences. This study contained in the pharmaceutical sector in Turkey was carried out in 156 private-sector employees. The questionnaire technique was used as a data collection method. As a result of the research, transformational leadership has affected both job satisfaction and organizational commitment in X and Y generations. In addition, it was observed that the participants made an evaluation close to the answer “satisfied” in terms of job satisfaction. On the other hand, to the statements about the concepts of organizational commitment and transformational leadership, the participants gave a close answer to the “agree” option. It has been determined that the employees’ job satisfaction and organizational commitment levels do not differ according to demographic variables.

Relationship Between Islamic Financial Literacy and Halal Literacy 伊斯兰金融知识与清真金融知识的关系

Islamic financial literacy has been recognized as an important tool to increase inclusiveness. However, to date, structures for Islamic financial literacy have not been sufficiently studied, although such an attempt has been made in the literature. Therefore, it aims to develop structures for Islamic financial literacy and its determinants. Halal business is not just about halal ingredients and production. Besides focusing on halal production, the right Halal business operators should also concentrate on adopting Halal financing that is called Islamic financing. However, the assessment of the level of awareness, knowledge and skills of Halal and Islamic financing among business operators should be prepared. However, prior to assessing the awareness, knowledge and skill levels of Halal and Islamic finance among business users should be prepared. This paper aims to bridge the Halal Literacy and Islamic Financial Literacy on the attitude of Halal business producers towards Islamic financing adoption. This study proposes the measurement and validity approach for Halal Literacy and Islamic Financial Literacy. Halal Literacy and Islamic Financial Literacy are two crucial concepts where it can lead to the behavior of person towards its decisions especially in adopting Islamic financing. This study is attempted to contribute towards new theoretical knowledge especially in proposing the measurement items for Halal Literacy and Islamic Financial Literacy. This study also expected to help the policymaker to understand the level of literacy among consumers, especially from Halal business producer’s perspective. In addition, this article provides a validated framework for assessing the level of Islamic financial literacy, which also enables the community and researchers to expand their knowledge of Islamic financial literacy. İstanbul’un Trafik Planlama Politikalarının Çevre ve Sosyoekonomik Açıdan Değerlendirmesi

Trafik planlamasinda mevcut sebeke altyapisi dikkate alinarak trafik planlamasi yapilmaktadir. Bu planlama esnasinda trafikteki yogunluklar kontrol edilmeye calisilmakta, trafigin zaman ve maliyet kaybi uzerindeki etkisi azaltilmaya calisilmaktadir. Ancak trafigin olusturdugu zaman ve maliyet kayiplarinin haricinde planlamalarin odak noktasinda bulunmayan sosyoekonomik etkiler de bulunmaktadir. Yapilacak planlamalarda olusabilecek sosyoekonomik etkilere ve bu etkilerden kimlerin nasil etkilendigine de dikkat edilmesi gerekmektedir. Bu amacla, yerel yonetim yetkilileri, sosyal bilimciler ve sivil toplum kuruluslarinin (STK) bir araya gelmesi ile gerceklestirilen calistay ve birebir gorusmeler ile Istanbul odakli trafik planlamasinda goz ardi edilen sosyo-ekonomik ve cevresel etkilerin neler oldugunun belirlenmesi hedeflenmistir. Gerceklestirilen saha calismasi kapsaminda uzmanlarin gorusleri Ortak Akil Platformu metodolojisi ile elde edilmistir. Bu asama sonucunda elde edilen uzman goruslerine dayali bilgiler metin madenciligi yetenekleri ile siniflanmis ve incelenmistir. Analizler sonucunda, yatirimlar ile dogacak sosyoekonomik etkilerin yeterli seviyede incelenmedigi ve bu durum ile ilgili cozum onerileri tartisilmistir.

Teknoloji oryantasyonu ile ilgili calismalar stratejik pazarlama yonetimi yazininda 1990’larin sonlarina dogru ortaya  cikmistir. Yazinda stratejik oryantasyonlar firma seviyesinde kultur tabanli kavramlar olarak ele alinsa da, teknoloji  oryantasyonu ampirik calismalarda fonksiyonel seviyede islevsellestirilmistir. Ayrica, gunumuz rekabetci ortaminda  teknolojinin onemi giderek artarken, teknoloj oryantasyonu diger stratejik oryantasyonlarla karsilastirildiginda daha  az ele alinan bir kavram olarak gozukmektedir. Cok az sayida niceliksel calismada bir degisken olarak ele alinmis olan  teknoloji oryantasyonu, hicbir calismada tek basina degerlendirilmemistir. Bu calismada, 1997’den itibaren yapilmis  olan teknoloji oryantasyonuna iliskin isletme alan dergilerinde yayinlanmis calismalar, adapte ettikleri/olusturduklari  TO olcekleri, arastirma dizayni ana basliklari, hangi iliskilerin test edilmis oldugu ve arastirma bulgulari baglaminda ele  alinmis ve karsilastirilmistir. Dolayisiyla, bu calismanin amaci yazinda kavramsal ve ampirik calismalar arasindaki boslugu  ortaya cikarmak ve teknoloji oryantasyonunun cok boyutluluguna iliskin bir yapi onermektir.

Hızlı Otobüs Taşımacılığı İçin İstasyon Lokasyonlarının Belirlenmesine Yönelik Yaklaşımlar

Yuksek Hizli Otobus Tasimaciligi (HOT) metro gibi uzun vadeli yatirimlara gore daha hizli hizmete alinabilir. Ayrica, metro sistemlerine benzer sekilde yuksek kapasitede yolculuk talebini karsilayabilirler. Istanbul’da Metrobus ozel ismi ile calismakta olan HOT sistemi, Istanbul’daki yolculuk talebinin en yogun oldugu bolgedeki ulasim talebini karsilamaktadir. Sistemin basarisi, sistemin genellestirilmesi ile ilgili tartismalari da beraberinde getirmektedir. Dolayisi ile HOT sisteminin alternatif rotalari degerlendirildiginde istasyonlarin nerelerde olmasi gerektiginin tespit edilmesi arastirmacilar ve sehir plancilari icin bir arastirma konusu olarak ortaya cikmaktadir. Calisma kapsaminda rotasi belirli olan bir guzergah uzerinde istasyon noktalarinin nasil tespit edilecegine yonelik Cografi Bilgi Sistemleri ile beslenen iki yontem degerlendirilmistir. Bu yontemlerden ilki agirliklandirilmis merkez noktalari arayan bir p-medyana dayali matematiksel modeldir, diger yontem ise kapsama alanlarina gore hesaplama yapan bir asamali bir sezgisel yontemdir. Sezgisel yontem, matematik modelin buyuk problem yapisinda cozulmesi zor bir problem yapisina donusmesinden dolayi, ileriki calismalarda kullanilabilmesi icin tartisilmistir. Sonuc olarak her iki yontem de sonuc uretebilmistir. Sezgisel algoritma, optimum sonuclara yakinsamistir ve cozumu kolay bir yapiya sahip oldugunu gostermistir

Davranış Teorilerinin Bireysel, Sosyal ve Normatif Açıdan Kavramlaştırılması: BSN Davranış Modeli Önerisi 从个人、社会和规范角度对行为理论进行概念化:BSN 行为模式建议

Birey davranislarinin irdelenmesi ve anlamlandirilmasi milattan onceki caglara kadar uzanmasina ve ilkcagda yasamis bircok filazofun dusunce akimlarinda birey ve toplum davranislari ile ilgili incelemeler bulunmasina ragmen; endustriyel psikoloji cercevesinde birey davranislarinin orgut baglaminda analiz edilmesi 19. yuzyilin sonlarina rastlamaktadir. Birey davranislarinin toplum veya daha sinirli bir topluluk olan orgut yonetiminde ne kadar onemli oldugu anlasilmasiyla, gerek psikoloji gerek sosyoloji gerekse endustriyel psikoloji alanlarinda birey davranislarini aciklayan bircok teori ve yaklasim gelistirilmistir. Bu teori ve yaklasimlar farkli kapsam/baglamlarda, belirli yonleriyle birbirini dogrulayan, belirli yonleriyle birbirinden ayrilan modeller sunmustur. Ilgili teori, yaklasim ve modelleri bir cati altinda toplamak ve davranisin yapisini ortaya koyacak bir model olusturmak amaciyla; uc asamada gerceklestirilen bu calismanin birinci asamasinda, birey davranisini farkli cercevelerde degerlendiren 12 davranis teorisinin farkli bir bakis acisiyla incelenmesi sonucunda, birey davranislarinda yeni bir gruplamaya gitme ihtiyaci ortaya konulmus ve birey davranislari bireysel, sosyal ve normatif acidan uc ana kategoride gruplandirilmistir. Bu gruplandirmanin ardindan calismamizin ikinci asamasinda davranislari aciklayan, literaturde kabul gormus 26 davranis teori, yaklasim ve model, bireyin bireysel, sosyal ve normatif acidan sergiledigi davranislar acisindan incelenmis ve bu davranislar kavramsal bir cerceveye oturtulmustur. Uc grupta topladigimiz bireyin davranislarini aciklayan bir model onerisi gelistirmek bu calismanin temel motivasyonunu olusturmustur. Bu amacla, calismamizin ucuncu asamasinda da, literaturde ilgili teoriler ve modeller isiginda bu uc grup birey davranisini aciklayan bir model, BSN Davranis Modeli (Bireysel, Sosyal ve Normatif Davranis Modeli) onerilmistir.
