In this paper an analysis has been carried out on the cyber attacks, that have happened in the recent years. Based on the analysis the cyber attack trend in the financial sector of Bangladesh has been investigated. The study is further extended to identify the causes of cyber heist in the financial sectors. The existing legal framework of Bangladesh for dealing with the cyber crimes has also been investigated in this paper. The analysis results are presented in appropriate graphs and charts. Finally a few recommendations are put forward for combating the increasing cyber crimes in the world, and in Bangladesh in particular.

Wi-Fi fingerprint-based localization systems are widely used for indoor localization as it only needs Wi-Fi network infrastructure that exists almost everywhere nowadays. However, it can be vulnerable to environmental change if Wi-Fi fingerprint-based localization system uses fixed Wi-Fi fingerprint database as training dataset and has no method for updating training dataset. In this paper, we propose AR-WFL system including update phase that can reflect environmental change periodically and prevent performance degradation. The proposed AR-WFL system is based on crowdsourcing and no dedicated annotator exists. In addition, we adopt active learning scheme with uncertainty selective sampling algorithm to maximize cost-efficiency of the update phase. We evaluate the performance of the update phase as location estimation accuracy using a dataset we collected for 2 months. It shows that average accuracy is increased by 1.83%p using update phase with uncertainty sampling algorithm compared with the system without an update phase.

In this paper, the Hybrid Cloud Computing for User Location-aware Augmented Reality Construction is proposed including three layers: Estimation Layer, Scenario Layer, and Presentation Layer. Based on “Angle of the Arrival” position method in Estimation Layer, the location-aware information of individual user can be considered. According to Scenario Layer, the various augmented reality contents can be rapidly and dynamically re-established. Three types of virtual machines including scenario virtual machine, material and physical parameter database, and re-direction management are proposed Based on the proposed system structure, the cost of AR construction can be reduced for the various display devices.

This paper proposes a method of implementing a NIC (Network Interface Card) capable of data processing at 40Gbps. Recently, technologies such as cloud services, mobile, and big data have been developed and more and more traffic is increasing. Therefore, network equipment capable of processing such traffic at high speed is attracting attention. We developed a network card based on the TILE-Gx36 processor, which made it possible to process data at high speed. As a result of our experiments, we confirmed that data transmission and reception are working normally at 40Gbps.

Radio astronomy correlator shows its significance in astronomical measurements. However, computational cost presents a barrier because of the increasing of the array size as well as the number of antennas. So the correlators which deal with signals coming from all the antennas are extremely computationally intensive process. Efficient usage of hardware should be explored in order to meet this computational challenge. This paper focus on the most computationally expensive parts in radio astronomy correlator and accelerate it using single FPGA. Results shows that the proposed hardware designs speed up the computation by at least 150 times compared with single thread CPU implementation, and at least 4 times compared with FPGA design without optimization. The throughput of our design is also higher than fully parallel CPU solution for at least 10 times, and defeats FPGA implementation without optimization in most cases.

Recent studies show that features from deep layers of convolution neural network can represent the image more strongly. This paper proposes an effective retrieval system to achieve a grading retrieval which contains two stages. In the first pre-screening stage, we propose a novel method to generate both deep binary feature vectors and compressed vectors based on multiple deep layers. And the second refine-retrieval stage refine the retrieval result. Grading retrieval can make full use of the features extracted from different layers. And, the retrieval efficiency is guaranteed by binary features and compressed features in both stages. Experiment based on public retrieval datasets shows that the proposed system markedly improves the retrieval accuracy while enhancing the retrieval efficiency.

This paper discusses a solution for digital universities to extend the functionality of their e-learning platforms to improve, not only their delivery model of instructional content, but also their way of assessing the knowledge of the students. Indeed, this paper proposes a solution for the platform of Moodle, allowing to create virtual classes, integrating the sharing and the control of screens, the transfer of files independently of their type and their size, the video, the audio, chat, different actors. This solution integrates an audio and video knowledge assessment tool for language lesson modules and enables learners to learn to communicate. Our solution is built around MSRP and WebSocket protocols, is used directly with current browsers as well as computers, smartphones and tablets. Our solution has allowed, among other things, language teachers and STEM to perform work online and face-to-face as it should without necessarily resorting to the MCQ or be obliged to modify the tests to take into account the difficulties related to the evaluation of programming and networking lessons.

Network security has become a critical issue in recent years. A drastic increase in the use of devices for accessing corporate networks could expose these systems to major security risks. As the use of personal computers moves to mobile devices and now IoT devices, it is highly desirable to gain more services and more accessible channels for corporate information. In addition, the scope and definition of IoT security have changed from time to time in response to technology changes and market needs. This paper presents a review of recent challenges, trends, and concerns related to IoT security, and discusses three generations of IoT security from past to future. IoT service platforms, values created out of customers' transaction data, industry and market driven approaches, the replacement of smartphone or BYOD, and IoT policies will all become more important.

Wi-Fi become the more popular wireless technology in our living environment. More than one wireless access point to assemble a wireless distribution system is not exclusive to the enterprise. However, current Wi-Fi protocol has no central control mechanism and efficiency cooperation mode between different wireless access points. In this research we proposed a wireless distribution system with software define network controller which provide the following properties. First, this system separates the control plane and data plane with different wireless interfaces. Second, different traffic flows from one access point to another could be assigned with independent, non-mutual interference channels if wireless resource is enough to achieve high throughput performance for whole wireless system. Third, the SDN controller is centralized unit and could execute the global channel optimization rather than regional channel optimization between two adjacent wireless access points. This system facilitated current wireless infrastructure to build the control plane. It utilizes the central Software Defined Networking (SDN) controller to collect required information from different access points, distribute resources to different access points and control the traffic flows. We demonstrate how wireless system with a central control unit could enhance the channel optimization and improve the whole system performance. Experiment to verify our idea is completed by Network simulation 3 (NS-3). The result shows with reasonable channel assignment, the wireless distribution system could optimize all wireless access points interfaces.
