UL coverage enhancement for massive machine type communication in 5G 5G大规模机器类型通信的UL覆盖增强

Massive machine type communication (mMTC) is one key scenario in 5G deployment. Reducing the signaling overhead and enhancing the coverage are two important targets. To reduce the signaling overhead, UL grant free transmission is considered, where one user equipment (UE) transmits data directly on one resource unit within the preconflgured resource set without eNB's scheduling. Repetition is the baseline method for coverage enhancement. To achieve efficient transmission, different repetition levels are configured for one UE and UE selects the repetition level for the transmission based on its measurement results. On the eNB side, eNB blindly decode the incoming data by assuming different repetition levels. In this case, eNB may successfully decode the data in earlier time before the repetition ends due to the inaccurately under-estimated channel estimation on the UE side and then performs the HARQ-ACK feedback earlier than the UE's expectation. In this case, unnecessary retransmissions happen at UE side due to the miss detection of the HARQ-ACK. Unnecessary retransmissions lower the spectral efficiency and consume more power on the UE side. To avoid the early termination on the eNB side, we propose to use repetition-level specific sequence to scramble the data. Simulation results show by using the proposed method, the unnecessary retransmissions are totally eliminated and the spectral efficiency is improved by around 30% and the power saving is improved by around 35%.

Augmented reality services of photos and videos from filming sites using their shooting locations and attitudes 增强现实服务的照片和视频从拍摄地点和态度的拍摄网站

Usually lots of photos and videos are recorded additionally to capture the scenes of many filming sites of dramas and movies. When people visit the sites later, however, they can rarely experience these contents again. The objective of this study is to exploit these photos and videos from filming sites together with their shooting locations and attitudes in order to provide users with AR (Augmented Reality) tourism services. Users will be able to experience as if they are at the site just at the time of filming. We designed and made an external attachable device for DSLR (Digital Single-Lens Reflex) cameras to log shooting locations and attitudes. We also implemented syncing software and defined data formats to integrate these data with photos and videos. We implemented mobile AR tourism apps for iOS and Android platforms. We adopted FAST (Features from Accelerated Segment Test) algorithm with additional modification for AR visualization of photos in mobile environment. We adopted Ferns algorithm, histogram specification and OpenGL texture mapping for AR visualization of videos with better performance. These apps and the results of this study were evaluated at actual filming sites of several dramas, and the survey of many filming staffs was conducted for feedbacks. The results of this study could be applied many other fields concerned with multimedia contents.

Theme-related keyword extraction from free text descriptions of image contents for tagging 从图像内容的自由文本描述中提取主题相关关键字进行标记

This paper discusses a method for automatic theme-related keyword extraction from users' natural language comments on their photographs and videos. ‘Theme’ indicates the concepts circumscribing and describing the content of the photos and videos such as pets, natural sites, palaces and places. The method employs a deep learning algorithm, RNN(Recurrent Neural Network) that is good at recognizing implicit patterns of sequential data. The method has been applied to the construction of a place-related image content DB, and delivers reasonably good performance even in case the measure (i.e. themes of image contents) is abstract and vague.

Sensing system and sensing method of passive patch interface for gathering bioinformation 一种用于采集生物信息的被动贴片接口传感系统及传感方法

This paper describes a sensing system and a sensing method based on bio — information collection interface using passive patches. Especially, it is a research on sensing system and sensing method based on information gathering interface using passive patch which can be sensed by the activation of external power without internal battery. When a drug is administered to treat a patient, it is largely divided into oral administration and parenteral administration. In this case, the parenteral administration may be divided into mucosal administration methods such as ocular mucosal administration, nasal administration, sublingual administration and rectal administration, and injection administration methods such as intravenous injection and subcutaneous injection, and skin administration method. Among them, the method of administering the drug through the skin is as shown in Fig. 1, using a paste, a patch, or a wetting agent.

Joint optimal channel allocation, interface assignment and routing in multi-hop wireless networks 多跳无线网络中联合最优信道分配、接口分配和路由

Multi-hop wireless networks have advantages over the single-hop ones in terms of reliability and coverage range. Moreover, the capacity of multi-hop wireless network can be substantially increased via multiple radios tuned to non-overlapping channels. However, the channel allocation, network interface cards assignment and routing selecting remain challenging due to the interference of the neighboring transmissions. These three problems have proved to be a NP-hard problem. Previous studies separating the routing selecting from the channel allocation, instead of considering the three problems as a whole, cannot get the overall optimal solution. In this work, we employ an improved Multi-Objective Genetic Algorithm to optimize the channel allocation, interface assignment and the routing selection, so as to minimize the overall network interference. The proposed algorithm includes two parts: 1) dynamic genetic mutation based on diversity measure; and 2) elite preservation based on ideal points. In order to eliminate the impact of illegal solutions, a new individual encoding method is proposed. In addition, an interference model taking into account the effects of channel separation and the traffic of neighbor links is applied to evaluate the quality of the interference of the network. Finally, a fitness function is defined to obtain the best search results. Simulation results show that our improved Multi-Objective Genetic Algorithm can reduce the interference and cost of total network compared to the standard Genetic Algorithm.

Customized embedded system design for lower limb rehabilitation patients 针对下肢康复患者的定制嵌入式系统设计

There are a number of researches about combining games with rehabilitation training to induce the interest of the patients. However, related studies mainly focus on upper body rehabilitation patients and have not dealt with accuracy of sensors. In this work, we aimed to improve the reliability of game results by implementing four step algorithms that minimizes the errors caused by sensors for lower body rehabilitation patients. Furthermore, we implemented a customized game system for the patient by collecting patient data and allowing the embedded smart car to move in proportion to the patient's movement.

Cyber crime trend in Bangladesh, an analysis and ways out to combat the threat 孟加拉网络犯罪趋势分析及打击威胁的方法

In this paper an analysis has been carried out on the cyber attacks, that have happened in the recent years. Based on the analysis the cyber attack trend in the financial sector of Bangladesh has been investigated. The study is further extended to identify the causes of cyber heist in the financial sectors. The existing legal framework of Bangladesh for dealing with the cyber crimes has also been investigated in this paper. The analysis results are presented in appropriate graphs and charts. Finally a few recommendations are put forward for combating the increasing cyber crimes in the world, and in Bangladesh in particular.

Study of p-ICN defined performance measurement Enterprise Architecture p-ICN定义的绩效度量企业架构研究

In this paper we propose the performance evaluation based Information Control Nets (p-ICN) to achieve the full compliance with the international organization UN recommendation to get the performance evaluation all over the e-Government projects due to its nature of huge scale and long term project plan of IT investment. However, current real world there is not enough suitable and tangible method for decision makers to make sure rationality of such a huge IT investment. Thus, we studied and defined new method so called as the p-ICN to provide them suitable capability to evaluate the performance of any Enterprise Architectures. Moreover, proved its effectiveness to achieve a solution of the defined problem with well-known applied enterprise architecture as simple as possible.

Practical incremental network coding for multimedia content delivery 多媒体内容传送的实用增量网络编码

Random linear network coding is a promising solution to improve network capacity by allowing intermediate node that combines incoming packets into network coded packets. Nevertheless, there are two main drawbacks: rank deficiency and processing delay. The first drawback can be solved by performing systematic network coding, in which sender transmits all uncoded packets in the first phase and coded packets in the second phase. The processing delay still remains in practical communication system and multimedia content delivery. In this paper, we propose a practical incremental network coding for application of multimedia content delivery over multi-hop network. We implement the proposed scheme using Raspberry Pi as transmission node and evaluate performance in terms of throughput and the attainable video quality (i.e., peak signal-to-noise ratio). The results demonstrate that our proposed incremental network coding outperforms conventional network coding schemes.
