The work presented by the authors offers a journey of the role of the teacher in different historical periods of Mexico. To say: Liberalism and lights in education, The Mexican Revolution and the Ministry of Public Education, Socialist education in Mexico, National Unity, Neoliberalism and globalization, The "community" as the central axis of/for citizen formation. In each of them, the aforementioned role is argued and analyzed, as well as its representations. To do this, the analogy of photography is proposed, where the possibility of observing important details over the years is sought. Concrete and upcoming situations, which were the channels for axiological, theoretical and ethical frameworks to show an active teacher, as a critical and reflective subject in their context and that, historically, has been built and institutionalized.

This article shows the creation of a dental clinical record through a tailor-made information system with the use of emerging technologies. The objective of the study is to glimpse a successful case of the implementation of an information system as an instrument in the follow-up of academic practices during the development of generic and specific competences of higher-level studies in the area of dentistry through the services provided to society. In the same way, that allows favoring the efficiency and effectiveness of the clinical history of patients for the benefit of health. The methodology used is the so-called Rapid Application Development (DRA) composed of four phases: requirements, design, production and testing and implementation. The result achieved was an information system that directly favors the management of a dental clinical record, mainly due to its interactive interface and its ease of use. Likewise, it is stated that software management can act as a strategic tool to optimize patient care, contributing directly to maintaining their health.

Results of a quantitative research based on students’ perspective of a Mexican public higher education institution regarding their educational program are presented, in the context of a curricular evaluation process; responses of 171 students to a survey that addressed five areas of the curriculum: Level of satisfaction with the graduate profile, learning content, method, evaluation, and remote emergency teaching due Covid-19. As a result, the five variables were valued as "satisfied" by the students, with the graduate profile being the best evaluated with an average of 4.32 points. A Student's t test for independent samples using the variables of sex and the 4 main variables of the study, showed that the means do not differ significantly at the p<.05 level in any of the cases. A one-way ANOVA analysis of variance was calculated to find out if there was a significant influence of the year over the same 4 variables, concluding that there was no statistically significant difference in the means of assessment of any of the variables studied between at least two groups.

The purpose of this article was to know the feelings of university students after a year and a half of confinement due to COVID-19, regarding the experience and use of online classes. It is a quantitative study, an online survey of 187 students was used as a data collection instrument and descriptive statistics were used for the analysis of the information. The results show the perceived advantages and disadvantages, as well as their level of academic achievement, where 41 percent state that it decreased. Regarding the preference between online or face-to-face classes, 86 percent prefer face-to-face classes, 77 percent had their first contact with their teachers through WhatsApp and 63 percent by mail. 91 percent started their virtual classes with the cell phone. 74.7 percent of students did not have the skills required for online education; 89.9 percent of students had to learn self-taught.

Written language is an organized and voluntary activity, conscious analysis of the sounds that form. As a communication system for which there is structured a context of use and certain formal combinatorial principles. Objective: To identify the writing ability level at new students to higher education using the Brief Neuropsychological Battery NEUROPSI in Spanish. Methodology: The research is quantitative, exploratory, cross-sectional, descriptive, correlational and comparative. It is a non-probabilistic sample by convenience with 38 freshmen in City of Durango, Mexico. Contribution: There is a normal level of writing in 84.21% of college freshmen (32 students), 10.53% with moderate deficit (4 cases) and with severe deficit 5.26% (2 cases). Finally, 15.79% of all cases (6) resulted deficient according to the values of Spanish Brief Neuropsychological Battery.

The purpose of this article is to analyze the elements used in the teaching of classes at the Universidad Tecnológica del Norte de Aguascalientes (UTNA), seeking to develop a reflection in relation to the pieces that students consider necessary for effective learning and understanding of the topics of study. Living conditions, the customs, the particular characteristics of a sector of the population or geographic area, and the use of new technologies have as a consequence that the study models and the techniques or tools that young people use for the development of their education suffer continuous changes. Consequently, to believe or expect that the elements of the development of a class should be standardized, remain inert, and also, ensure the understanding and continuous interest of young people is too ambitious; This is why the main point is to obtain the vision that young people have of the elements they consider necessary for effective learning in the classroom.

The abrupt closure of schools due to the declaration of a pandemic by the World Health Organization caused by the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus in March 2020, led teachers and students to seek strategies to continue teaching and learning in the way their skills allowed them to use digital platforms and tools in the teaching-learning process. There were those who faced with quite robust skills that allowed them to remain in a feeling of confidence to continue with their classes, others who were "run over by technology" were those who had feelings of incompetence to develop their teaching activities and those who suffered in their confinement, who were skilled in their subject, but were removed from their classroom. The type of research is based on phenomenology, (Martínez, 1999) within qualitative research, (Hernández, 2014) as a direct expression of the key informants, which allowed to describe, group and interpret the findings in the process of adaptation of a disruptive moment in the teaching-learning process in an academic department.

This academic article addresses the issue of university governance in the 21st century, and the need for ethical leaders in the management of higher education institutions. In this way, some primitive, perfectible and situated guidelines are proposed, which allow progress towards reflection and formalization, of qualities and attributes that management leaders must have, attending to the demands and interpellations that society as a whole makes to The universities, it is not enough that who directs the institutions and the management team that accompanies them, have extraordinary highly qualified professional competences, but they must also have specific competences that allow them to address issues associated with ethics in the institutions they govern. In this way, from a descriptive qualitative methodological approach based on documentary analysis and empirical approaches to successful models, it is revealed what is an ethical leadership, its qualities and attributes, as well as some strength ideas of how a managerial leader can move towards an ethical leadership in its management. As a result, the article proposes some guidelines referring to sensitivities, principles, values, and personal dispositions, which allow the leader to face and live ethical conflicts, even when his own values are put into play.

The research was designed to help resolve the absence of the systematization of information in the accreditation processes for academic programs in higher education institutions. In order to facilitate academic programs that are going to undergo evaluation processes to satisfy with the criteria, guidelines, and quality standards established by higher education accreditation organizations. A qualitative methodology was determined with a non-experimental design and a descriptive approach, through a review of scientific literature, empirical references, supported by the systematic review method; a procedure was established to support the existence of the research problem by applying the Cochrane Manual of systematic reviews. It was proposed to develop a systematic review of the systematization of information in the accreditation processes for academic programs. Finally, a series of conclusions were presented.
