Children can develop mental and behavioral disorders and the use of psychotropic drugs is one of the treatment possibilities for such disorders. However, it has been identified, nowadays, an increase in the prescription of psychotropic drugs, often for non-medical problems. This phenomenon is understood as medicalization. This work refers to a survey of articles that address child medicalization in the last 10 years. This is an integrative review study, carried out in the database of the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior CAPES), in 2019. As search refinement criteria, the descriptors medicalization, education and child were used, peer-reviewed articles published in Portuguese and English. The final sample consisted of 12 articles, which addressed the subject as the main theme identified in the title, reading of the abstracts and their introduction. After reading, the articles were organized in an analytical framework, identifying the theoretical framework adopted and how the theme was presented in the texts. The mapping made it possible to identify problematizations about childhood, hegemony of the biological view on human behavior, the influence of advertising by the pharmaceutical industry, the banalization and epidemic of child diagnosis and how medicalization is manifested in the school context. It also allowed for reflections on the relationship between school and child medicalization. It is concluded that there is a need for studies that investigate medicalization from the point of view of children, and that establish a dialogue between the fields of Psychology, Medicine and Education. Social participation, a guideline of the Brazilian Unified Health System ( Sistema Único de Saúde ), has proved to be a difficult challenge to achieve, especially in the context of Mental Health. This article addresses the issue of the exercise of users’ rights and their relationship with mental health care, based on the experience of users and workers involved with the Autonomous Medication Management ( Gestão Autônoma da Medicação ) strategy in the Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul. This article aims to problematize the notion of users’ rights and their repercussions on mental health care. In order to answer these objectives, we were inspired by the Paidéia method for monitoring the conversation circles with users and moderators of the GAM groups. Thus, it was possible to observe the difficulty in realizing the rights of users, who have little or no knowledge on this topic. Another point that stands out is the high rates of consumption of psychiatric drugs in health services. ABSTRACT

The present article intends to investigate the field of psychosis and its relation to phenomena related to spirituality. Through the history of psychiatry, madness was stripped from its spiritual dimension with the scientific compreehension of phenomena. By the otherside, the medical nosography also operated a reduction of the phenomena only to a descriptive dimension. The authors developed a theoretical narrative revision about the themes of spirituality, spiritual emergency, renewal process, psychosis and the treatments beyond medication. The literature review indicate that psychotic crisis do not necessarily indicate a development of schizophrenia and that this crisis can also carry a transformative potential. Thus, it is discussed how that the religious dimension can be approached in an ethical psychological session and its importance on dealing with a psychotic crisis. ABSTRACT

Objetivou-se compreender a dinâmica da saúde mental em cidades de pequeno porte. Realizou-se a pesquisa bibliográfica com abordagem crítica de artigos de 2008 a 2018, em língua portuguesa, acessíveis em bases de dados Scielo online e em bases de dados nacionais. Foram utilizados os descritores: drogas/pequeno/município; álcool/drogas/municípios; álcool/drogas/internação e álcool/drogas/caps, sendo extraídos relatos de experiência e revisões bibliográficas. Verificou-se que a internação em locais isolados, sem profissionais de saúde, e juntamente com a falta de fiscalização, tem sido o recurso para a alta complexidade em saúde mental. Concluiu-se que faz-se necessário um olhar mais abrangente para a regulamentação e fiscalização das entidades, que se impliquem as conturbações necessárias de uma reforma, bem como a elaboração de leis que atendam a diversidade territorial brasileira.
