Based on the TikTok Data Report in 2019, videos with the topic of language education ranked second in the Top 5 most popular knowledge category. Based on these facts, language learning plays an important role in the distribution of educational videos on TikTok. By using correlational quantitative methods, researchers can find out the relationship between consumption patterns of high school students in Surabaya. It is known that there is a positive relationship between high school students' TikTok media consumption patterns that lead to motivation to learn. This means that it can be input for other educational fields who want to use Tiktok as a learning medium in order to improve the quality of video content uploaded later.

Writing is one manifestation of literacy competencies. The frequently used vocabulary in writing/reading is called favorite vocabulary. This research aims to produce (1) identification of favorite vocabulary of elementary-school students, (2) comparison of vocabulary between early grade elementary-school and the advanced. Documentation and comparison method are used for writings by 305 elementary school students, consisting of 75 early grade classes and 230 advanced classes. A collection of these writings was collected in a book entitled "My Book and My World." with the theme: Me and Books, (2) Books, Grandma/Grandfather, and my family, (3) Books, and COVID-19. Participants came from various regions in Indonesia. All participants used 750 words as the basis for writing length. To determine the favorite vocabulary, we used the descriptive-quantitative method. The results showed that the favorite vocabularies of early and advanced grade students were the same, namely in Bahasa "covid, mama, corona masker, house, papa, pandemi". From the comparison of early grade and advanced, it appeared that there was an increase of 1,093 entries from the initial class to the advanced class. On the other hand, "mama" vocabulary is used more than "papa." It shows that "mama" is closer in the world of children than "papa." This article is expected to be useful for learning in elementary school.

The Republic of Indonesia is a country that is rich in natural resources, from living natural resources to non-living natural resources. The potential of natural wealth starts from the sea, land, and other natural resources contained in the earth of Indonesia. Right on May 14, 2020, the mineral and coal mining Regulation was approved and create several pros and cons in the community as well as various problem maps. Mineral and coal mining regulation is a congressman's initiative that has been drafted since the 2014-2019 DPR period. Based on Article 71A of Law 15/2019, the carry-over discussion of the bill must complete the requirement that the previous period of the problem inventory list discussion has been carried out by the Congressman, whereas the Congressman's last period had not even once discussed the problem inventory list of the mineral and coal mining Bill. One of the line maps of the Minerba Regulatory problems certainly triggers quite a complicated reaction from the community. In total 143 (of a total 217) articles were amended, or about 80% of the total number of articles in Law Number 4 of 2009. In detail, there were 51 articles added, 83 articles were amended, and 9 articles were deleted. The Minerba Law has the potential to conflict with Article 33 of the 1945 Constitution, especially paragraph 3 which states that the earth, water, and natural resources contained therein are controlled by the State and used for the greatest prosperity of the Indonesian people

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of jumping jack and tuck jump exercises on leg muscle strength and power. The subjects of this study were the Pencak silat athletes of the Branch Kostrad Company-C, totaling 30 people who were divided into three groups with ten people in each group and carried out for six weeks. The type of research used in this research is quantitative with an experimental method. The research design used a Non-Randomize Control Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Data collection on leg muscle strength was carried out by testing the Leg Dynamometer and leg muscle power using the Jump MD tool at the pretest and posttest. The results of the study were measured using paired t-test and LSD tests. The paired t-test obtained sig <0.05 on the variable leg muscle strength and leg muscle power. The results of the LSD test show that jumping jack exercise has more effect on the ability of leg muscle strength and power. In conclusion, jumping jacks and tuck jump exercises can improve leg muscle strength and power, where jumping jacks practice has more effect on the knowledge and stability of the leg muscles.

The optimization of counselors in high school during the pandemic must be carried out properly based on the fact that students experience many problems both academic and non-academic during online learning. the transition process from face-to-face learning to online learning requires students to adapt quickly to the situation. Differences in student adaptability create problems for certain students, such as lack of motivation to attend classes which result in decreased academic achievement. In dealing with this problem, counselors are required to have critical thinking skills so that they can analyze the root of the problem and provide appropriate alternative solutions for students as their counselors. Therefore, the workshop is carried out to improve the critical thinking skills of counselors in Surabaya with the hope that they will be able to optimize their role in overcoming student problems. The workshop was followed by a focus group discussion to directly practice critical thinking skills in mapping problems and solutions for students.

Female speakers have special social characters as markers of personal identity when interacting in speech acts, namely, the features of female language markers whose characteristics are already attached to the identity of female speakers. They are identical to the speaker's character, namely, having a smooth and soft impression, having politeness values, adherence to binding patterns, and being more expressive concerning the speaker's inner feelings. Therefore, those features are inferior and weak to the certainty value. One of them can be seen in the speech used by 宁静 Níng Jìng in the interview program 《星月对话 》Xīngyuè Duìhuà episode 10. There were nine types of features of female language markers and five functions based on the context of the use of vocabulary; namely, elements in the form of lexical fences as markers of the start of speech acts, features in the form of interrogative speech as markers for obtaining response and approval, interrogative speech as a marker of uncertainty or doubt, elements in the form of formal speech as a sign of politeness, and segments in the form of expressive speech as a marker of expressing feelings.

Evaluations of different satellite data and meteorologic data as well as digital elevation data, help to identify critical areas in Java, Indonesia exposed to flooding due to flash floods, storm surge, cyclones, meteo-tsunamis or tsunami waves. Data mining and map creation is the prerequisite for flooding hazard preparedness for every community and for the strengthening of resilience. Case studies from the areas of Surabaya are presented to demonstrate an example how free available geoand satellite data can be used systematically for flooding hazard preparedness. Sea level rise due to climate change has to be considered and the flooding hazard preparedness adapted according to the actual and future situation. Evaluations of optical satellite data such as Landsat 8 and Sentinel 2 and radar data contribute to a better under-standing of the development of currents at the coast and their interactions with the coastal morphology.

The form of hoax discourse can be seen in movies entitled Tilik and Gossip. Tilik movie tells how the main character spread hoax information. In Gossip movie, the story centers on three main characters who plan to spread hoax information and track how far the public receives the hoax information. This study focused on the expressions used by the main characters in both movies in disseminating hoax information. This study aimed to identify the presuppositions used by the main characters and their use in hoax discourse. The results found that all types of presupposition were used in both movies. The used presuppositions were related to the spread of hoax information as the theme of the story. In Tilik movies, the main characters frequently use non-factive and counterfactual presupposition. While in Gossip movie, those two types of non-factive and counterfactual presupposition were used infrequently. These differences were caused by how the rumors were spread by the main characters in those two movies. In Tilik movie, the rumors have existed before the main characters spread them, but in Gossip movie, the rumors were started to be created in the circumstances.

This article p resents a project of empowering local communit ies in eastern Sumba to preserve their folklo re. Culture encounters in globalized world encourage local communit ies to reflect on the dynamics and vitality o f their own culture. Given the fact that oral-based communit ies are marginalized in articu lating their cultural identity, this project aimed to involve local communities in eastern Sumba to preserve their folkloric expressions. Activities comprised focus group discussions, folklore research, and d igital documentation of folk music and dance.
