The optimization of counselors in high school during the pandemic must be carried out properly based on the fact that students experience many problems both academic and non-academic during online learning. the transition process from face-to-face learning to online learning requires students to adapt quickly to the situation. Differences in student adaptability create problems for certain students, such as lack of motivation to attend classes which result in decreased academic achievement. In dealing with this problem, counselors are required to have critical thinking skills so that they can analyze the root of the problem and provide appropriate alternative solutions for students as their counselors. Therefore, the workshop is carried out to improve the critical thinking skills of counselors in Surabaya with the hope that they will be able to optimize their role in overcoming student problems. The workshop was followed by a focus group discussion to directly practice critical thinking skills in mapping problems and solutions for students.

Evaluations of different satellite data and meteorologic data as well as digital elevation data, help to identify critical areas in Java, Indonesia exposed to flooding due to flash floods, storm surge, cyclones, meteo-tsunamis or tsunami waves. Data mining and map creation is the prerequisite for flooding hazard preparedness for every community and for the strengthening of resilience. Case studies from the areas of Surabaya are presented to demonstrate an example how free available geoand satellite data can be used systematically for flooding hazard preparedness. Sea level rise due to climate change has to be considered and the flooding hazard preparedness adapted according to the actual and future situation. Evaluations of optical satellite data such as Landsat 8 and Sentinel 2 and radar data contribute to a better under-standing of the development of currents at the coast and their interactions with the coastal morphology.

The form of hoax discourse can be seen in movies entitled Tilik and Gossip. Tilik movie tells how the main character spread hoax information. In Gossip movie, the story centers on three main characters who plan to spread hoax information and track how far the public receives the hoax information. This study focused on the expressions used by the main characters in both movies in disseminating hoax information. This study aimed to identify the presuppositions used by the main characters and their use in hoax discourse. The results found that all types of presupposition were used in both movies. The used presuppositions were related to the spread of hoax information as the theme of the story. In Tilik movies, the main characters frequently use non-factive and counterfactual presupposition. While in Gossip movie, those two types of non-factive and counterfactual presupposition were used infrequently. These differences were caused by how the rumors were spread by the main characters in those two movies. In Tilik movie, the rumors have existed before the main characters spread them, but in Gossip movie, the rumors were started to be created in the circumstances.

Based on the TikTok Data Report in 2019, videos with the topic of language education ranked second in the Top 5 most popular knowledge category. Based on these facts, language learning plays an important role in the distribution of educational videos on TikTok. By using correlational quantitative methods, researchers can find out the relationship between consumption patterns of high school students in Surabaya. It is known that there is a positive relationship between high school students' TikTok media consumption patterns that lead to motivation to learn. This means that it can be input for other educational fields who want to use Tiktok as a learning medium in order to improve the quality of video content uploaded later.

The Nominee Agreement in Indonesian civil law which is based on the Civil Code does not have any rules in it. An agreement that has no rules in the Civil Code can be called an anonymous agreement (Innominant Contract). Where this unnamed agreement is an agreement which rules are not yet contained in the Civil Code, but in fact exist and develop in society following the times. The writing of this journal article is normative juridical research using a statutory approach, a case approach, and a conceptual approach. This study was made to analyze and describe the legal consequences that will occur to the notary who makes the Nominee deed. It can be interpreted that a notary who makes an authentic deed in the form of a nominee deed will face the consequences of making the deed where it can be said that the nominee deed is a deed that leads to legal smuggling. Based on the explanation above, the results obtained from the research are that a notary can be subject to sanctions against the authentic deed he made. Because this is an act against the law both in civil, criminal, and in the form of administration.

Writing skill is one of the active language skills that is important in expressing ideas, thoughts, and feelings. Writing is also a difficult thing for BIPA students, especially for beginners with academic goals. The Indonesian language has the standard Indonesian grammar that BIPA students should understand with the process that is not relatively easy. In general, the BIPA students experienced several errors repeatedly in writing, such as word choices, sentence structures, affixes, and word mixing. In fact, most of their issues are in affixes. The students get confused when the affix of memeets the base verb, for instance: (me-)+pukul will be menpukul or (me-)+makan will be memakan. This study will analyze some examples of errors more profound in the final exam from BIPA students in the beginner class. Most of them are from Thailand, Egypt, France, and Timor Leste. Their backgrounds are from undergraduate students to doctoral students who are interested in learning Indonesian studies in their country or planning to study in some universities in Indonesia.

Natural bilingual children are those whose languages are acquired through their parents and community. However, this paper aims to analyse how bilinguals are shaped early within their life as children through the help of electronic media. This method aims to reveal the role of electronic media in shaping bilingual children using Piaget’s cognitive development theory. This study applied the qualitative method, and the data were taken from a series of interviews of three subjects who were all avid media consumers as a child. The results showed that parents exposed their children to these media because it can help their children pass the time or simply do not have the time to play with their children. Children later processed the media through their cognitive ability, which in turn affects their behaviour and language development. Children mostly imitate the shows they watched either from behaviour or language. Lastly, this study also found that children who have the most exposure to foreign media have a better chance of becoming bilingual.
