Language learning and cultural learning are inextricably linked to each other. Foreign language learners who are equipped with cultural understanding will possess "intercultural competence," which is essential in cross-cultural communication. In Indonesia, learning Chinese at the beginner level is still highly reliant on textbooks. Therefore, in determining textbooks, teachers must carefully evaluate every cultural aspect for students to know and comprehend while considering appropriate delivery method options. This research analyzes the beginner-level textbook, "Bahasa Tionghoa Zaman Sekarang," which has a specific target audience, namely learners who speak Indonesian as their first language. The aspects analyzed are the cultural content in the textbook and the method of delivery. This qualitative descriptive research identifies the cultural content data presented in the textbook, whose form of culture and delivery are then described and analyzed. The results of the analysis show that the textbook is remarkably rich in cultural content, especially Chinese culture. The cultural diversity of ideas, activities, and artifacts conveyed in various delivery forms within the textbook greatly supports effective learning of Chinese communication to avoid cultural misunderstandings. Considering the evolving culture and the study that has been done, the authors provide several suggestions to develop the textbook used in the future.

This research is motivated by the various problems experienced by students on Pondok Pesantren. With the number of students reaching thousands with an unbalanced number of caregivers, the problem is not handled optimally. The policy of the Islamic boarding school regarding the curriculum used makes each Islamic boarding school different. Pesantren as an educational institution has one characteristic that distinguishes it from other educational institutions. The values of Islamic boarding schools that frame the life of social interaction between Kiai, Ustadz, and Santri are the distinguishing characteristics in question. So the problems experienced by students will be different. This study aims to identify the problems experienced by students both in personal, learning, social, and career problems so that it is hoped that they will be able to help plan solutions to the problems faced. This study uses a literature study method that analyzes various reference sources. The data analysis technique used is content analysis, which is a technique used to analyze and understand the text. The results of this study are to explain the various problems faced by students in Islamic boarding schools, their characteristics.

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of jumping jack and tuck jump exercises on leg muscle strength and power. The subjects of this study were the Pencak silat athletes of the Branch Kostrad Company-C, totaling 30 people who were divided into three groups with ten people in each group and carried out for six weeks. The type of research used in this research is quantitative with an experimental method. The research design used a Non-Randomize Control Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Data collection on leg muscle strength was carried out by testing the Leg Dynamometer and leg muscle power using the Jump MD tool at the pretest and posttest. The results of the study were measured using paired t-test and LSD tests. The paired t-test obtained sig <0.05 on the variable leg muscle strength and leg muscle power. The results of the LSD test show that jumping jack exercise has more effect on the ability of leg muscle strength and power. In conclusion, jumping jacks and tuck jump exercises can improve leg muscle strength and power, where jumping jacks practice has more effect on the knowledge and stability of the leg muscles.

This study aims to test the use of scientific approaches to improve speech writing skills in elementary school. This research was conducted against the background of the low ability of students in creative ideas to compose speech text and low to active students in learning activities. Approaches and strategies applied in learning tend to be theoretical memorization and are not based on student experience, making it difficult to develop their creativity. As a workaround, a scientific approach is used with the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method consisting of two cycles. The focus of speech writing includes using a standard language, conformity with topics, ability to write speech text, and conformity with the structure of speech text. The study results prove that the use of this scientific approach can significantly improve speech writing skills in elementary schools.

Writing is one manifestation of literacy competencies. The frequently used vocabulary in writing/reading is called favorite vocabulary. This research aims to produce (1) identification of favorite vocabulary of elementary-school students, (2) comparison of vocabulary between early grade elementary-school and the advanced. Documentation and comparison method are used for writings by 305 elementary school students, consisting of 75 early grade classes and 230 advanced classes. A collection of these writings was collected in a book entitled "My Book and My World." with the theme: Me and Books, (2) Books, Grandma/Grandfather, and my family, (3) Books, and COVID-19. Participants came from various regions in Indonesia. All participants used 750 words as the basis for writing length. To determine the favorite vocabulary, we used the descriptive-quantitative method. The results showed that the favorite vocabularies of early and advanced grade students were the same, namely in Bahasa "covid, mama, corona masker, house, papa, pandemi". From the comparison of early grade and advanced, it appeared that there was an increase of 1,093 entries from the initial class to the advanced class. On the other hand, "mama" vocabulary is used more than "papa." It shows that "mama" is closer in the world of children than "papa." This article is expected to be useful for learning in elementary school.

Haircos Cosmetics is a type of hairtonic developed by universities. The product has been through laboratory tests and in collaboration with the cosmetic industry. Haircos that have been produced in large quantities must be marketed to meet the people's need for natural products. As a new product, of course, Haircos competes with similar products that first got a place in people's hearts. Therefore, this research was conducted with the aim of knowing the marketing communication strategy of Harircos products as a new product so that it can be known and interested by the public. This study uses the 4P marketing communication theory, namely product, price, place, promotion, as the basic basis for a marketing communication strategy used by a commercial product. This theory is the basis for the analysis of researchers in looking at the marketing communication strategy carried out by the founder of Haircos cosmetics. This research is a case study, with data collection through interviews and consumer surveys. This is done to see the uniqueness of the strategy carried out by the founder and team in introducing new products to the market. The results showed that implementation of marketing communications is enough to highlight the uniqueness and quality aspects of the product, giving a price to the consumer, so the location is not yet widespread marketing of which do not reach the market share. In promotional activities, Haircos does not maximize performance on digital promotions, such as social media and E-commerce. This study suggests that Haircos cosmetic products make a careful business plan to reach the target market.

Based on data on the positive cases of the Indonesian Covid-19 pandemic in the period March 2020 to March 2021, there were 1,290,790 people. Meanwhile, the distribution of positive cases in Sidoarjo Regency until March 2021 is 10,787 people. In order to suppress the increase in new positive cases and achieve communal immunity, the Indonesian government issued Presidential Regulation Number 99 of 2020 concerning Vaccine Procurement and Vaccination Implementation in the context of Combating the 2019 Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19) Pandemic (State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia Year 2020 Number 227). Diplomacy is taking through the Minister of Foreign Affairs in order to secure the stock of vaccines available for the people of Indonesia. Through this policy, the government managed to secure 270 million doses of various brands of vaccines. Vaccine distribution will be carried out in several stages and will be distributed to district or city governments to be forward to health facilities in their area. Therefore, researchers are interested in taking the research title "Cognitive Dimensions in Community Response to the Free Vaccination Programs in Suppressing the Spread of COVID-19 in Sidoarjo Regency".
