: Since 2009 when Sichuan University started to implement the Top-notch Undergraduate Training Program (Top-notch Program for short) in Chemistry, a relatively comprehensive scheme of international training has been established and progress has been made. As the Ministry of Education starts the “Top-notch Undergraduate Training Program 2.0” in 2019, we are obliged to review the current international training model for chemistry undergraduates by learning from other universities both domestic and overseas to explore better ways of deepening international cooperation and improving the quality of international training for top chemistry students.
:四川大学化学学科自2009年开始实施 "拔尖本科生培养计划"(简称 "拔尖计划")以来,已经形成了较为完善的国际化培养方案,并取得了一定的进展。随着2019年教育部启动 "2.0版拔尖本科生培养计划",我们有责任通过向国内外其他高校学习,重新审视目前的化学本科生国际培养模式,探索深化国际合作、提高化学拔尖学生国际培养质量的更好途径。

Macroscopic Morphology of Alum(K) Crystal 明矾(K)晶体的宏观形貌

: In this paper, a simple thermodynamic model of crystal macroscopic morphology and the cause of the defects were suggested. By virtue of growing alum(K) crystals and measuring their macroscopic parameters in the inorganic laboratory for undergraduates, we can calculate the thermodynamic parameters of alum, thus explaining the macroscopic morphology and defect of alum(K), and predicting the possibility for alum(K) to generate octahedral crystals and its self-normality.
本文提出了晶体宏观形貌的简单热力学模型及缺陷产生的原因。通过在本科生无机实验室中生长明矾(K)晶体并测量其宏观参数,可以计算出明矾的热力学参数,从而解释明矾(K)的宏观形貌和缺陷,预测明矾(K)生成八面体晶体及其自正态性的可能性。

: In this paper, a comprehensive chemical experiment is introduced, including the preparation of organic-inorganic hybrid perovskite photovoltaic materials by one-step solution method. The characterization of crystal structure and morphology, the test of UV-Vis absorption spectrum, and the study of thermal stability of the obtained materials were carried out.

Testing the Buffer Capacity of Baby Wipes: An Experiment Close to Life 测试婴儿湿巾的缓冲能力:一个接近生活的实验

: In order to effectively enhance students’ interest and enthusiasm in learning buffer solution, a case of introducing real daily necessities into laboratory teaching is recommended. The experimental design extends the property test to the baby wipe, and changes the content of the experiment into the verification of the working principle of wipe, instead of preparation of simple acid-base system and related verification experiments in the past. Through the implementation of this experiment, students generally reflected that it can effectively stimulate their enthusiasm and interest in learning buffer solution related contents, and ultimately promote them to recognize the characteristics and buffer mechanism of pH changes in buffer system.
:为有效提高学生学习缓冲溶液的兴趣和热情,推荐一个将真实生活用品引入实验教学的案例。本实验设计将性能测试扩展到婴儿湿巾,将实验内容改为对湿巾工作原理的验证,而不是以往简单的酸碱体系制备及相关验证实验。通过本实验的实施,学生普遍反映可以有效激发他们学习缓冲液相关内容的积极性和兴趣,最终促进他们认识缓冲体系pH变化的特点和缓冲机制。

Synthesis and Characterization of a Fluorescent Probe Based on Schiff-Base 席夫碱荧光探针的合成与表征

: In this paper, a new experiment named “synthesis and characterization of a fluorescent molecule based on Schiff-base” is introduced. It contains the synthesis and characterization of organic compounds, the determination of fluorescence, and the detection of metal ions. This experiment is helpful for students to better understand inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry and analytical chemistry. Moreover, it gives students an opportunity to know the study of organic fluorescent probes. This will stimulate students’ interest in scientific research and cultivate their research ability. Thus, this experiment can be introduced to senior undergraduates.

: Under the catalytic conditions of tetrahydropyrrole, an addition-elimination reaction of chromone aldehyde with methylpyrazolone or 2-indolinone is carried out to obtain two kinds of chromene derivatives containing pyrazolone or indol-2-one. The structures are identified by 1 H NMR, 13 C NMR, HPLC, HRMS and melting point measurements.
