Stress urinary incontinence is a serious threat to the well-being of women world-wide. In this scoping review of the literature, we examined the most prominent research foci between the years 2004 and 2013. In this article, conservative treat-ment is operationalized as any non-surgical or non-pharmacological treatment modalities that could be carried out by specially trained nurses, physiotherapists, or physicians to treat stress urinary incontinence in women. The two most frequently described or systematically investigated treatment options identified in our review were 1) strengthening pelvic floor muscles with pelvic floor muscle training, including biofeedback and weighted vaginal cones; and 2) the use of intravaginal support devices, such as incontinence pessaries. Other treatment modalities were also explored in the literature review, such as intraurethral devices, behavioral and lifestyle interventions, products, and alternative therapies, such as acupuncture and acupressure. However, the focus of this article is on the two most frequently described options.

Peyronie's disease is a chronic condition affecting approximately 3% to 9% of adult males and is associated with significant negative effects on physical and psychosocial well-being and quality of life. Historically, treatment has been limited by a lack of understanding of the pathophysiology. Recent advances have led to the first FDA-approved therapy for the treatment of Peyronie's disease. Evaluation, treatment, and management of patients with this condition, including use of an algorithm and pre-/post-treatment questionnaire, will be discussed.

It should be intuitive that happy people produce better results than unhappy people. But in spite of such common sense, the data show us people are not too happy at work and it is not getting better. Health care has much to learn about creating happi ness that in turn creates a positive return on investment financially, as well as on patient outcomes and the well-being, growth, and productivity of the staff. (1) We need a serious call to action in health care that will implement the research about happy organizations and their success. Our stakes are high; we must do no harm.

Surgical management and current guidelines regarding optimal timing of surgery will also be presented.

Erectile dysfunction (ED) in the older adult male is a significant problem affecting more than 75% of men over 70 years of age in the United States. Older men have an increased likelihood of developing ED due to chronic disease, comorbid conditions, and age-related changes. Research has demonstrated that while the prevalence and severity of ED increases with age, sexual desire often remains unchanged. This article discusses the clinical picture of ED, including relevant pathophysiology, clinical presentation, and evaluation and treatment options.
